The park is located several blocks south of downtown Salem in a friendly and safe area of town.  The park is small but offers all kinds of options.

A barkdust path encircles the park's perimeter (one lap = 1 mile).  This is perfect running for and minimizing knee and back injuries.  There are open fields for a pick-up game of frisbee, football or soccer.  There are also two softball fields that can be reserved through the City of Salem.

Paved paths in the park bring you to play structures, a babbling brook, a mini-apple orchard, an historic building (open to the public during designated hours), a gazebo, a rose garden and a variety of unique trees and shrubs.  This is a great safe place to spend 10 minutes or 3 hours.

Wow, I love it here. I just went here for the Salem Art Fair. It's very big, and beautiful. And just blocks away from downtown, which I walked to and from Bush Park. Great place for a summer picnic.
