5 reviews for Burrito Royale
I'm always on the hunt for a good burrito and I had high hopes when I spotted this little restaurant on route 1. I was sorely disappointed!! While my bean and rice burrito was cheap (4.95), it tasted like cardboard. It was rolled incorrectly and mostly consisted of thickly cut iceberg lettuce. There was also some unseasoned yellow rice and a few beans that seemed to have been cooked in water alone. Allegedly, there was cheese, but I couldn't taste or see it. Despite the nice waiter, I will definitely not go back.
This burrito place is on US-1 in a small lot by itself. I thought Burrito Royale might be a special "local" place but the reality isn't so. The food was nothing spectacular. I ordered super nachos and the portion size was large.
This place sucks. Located in a gravel parking lot right off of Route 1, I didn't even realize it was still open at first. Their "traditional" burrito was bland and had no flavor at all, besides the hot sauce I put on it. The serving size was kind of small, too. Prices aren't too bad, but you can get a lot better at chains like Chipotle, South of the Border, and Qdoba, I'm sad to say. Skip it.
Burrito is very simple and fresh tasting. We were in a rush but it seemed to take longer than it should have to prepare the food.
This is a great little place that doesn't look like much from the outside. We drove by it for years until finally stopping in about 5 years ago. The food is very good, prices are decent and we didn't experience any slowness that another reviewer mentioned.
