It makes me fairly stupefied that Pez is suing someone for control of their brand... 1) because they never really had control of it anyway, 2) this place celebrates the brand and promotes it more than Pez has in years, and 3) they are treating their company like Disney thought monkey lawyers suing everyone for anything.
It's candy guys... this poor guy has been able to survive on his enthusiasm and love for it.
Let him use his snowman, and do his thing. Sheesh.
And visit... it's teeny tiny little place, will take two minutes, and the guy is sweet.

I'm not a collector of PEZ, but I had to check this out since it is near by.
its $3 to check out the museum. The owner is a real knowledgeable guy about PEZ and its history.
Its pretty amazing to see some rare and unique PEZ dispensers.. and I guess its one of a kind place... why not check it out.
PEZ is like dog shows. Some people love it, some people think it's stupid, and everyone else in between wouldn't have an opinion on it if you beat it out of them with a shiny pink dildo. There are no casual PEZ users. Unlike other substances, PEZ will not compel you to do adventurous things like write hit songs and wake up next to your best friend's sister.
A PEZ addict's idea of a good time involves being stuffed in a tiny room with other poor chalk-eating bastards like themselves and looking at old PEZ dispensers and lincoln logs. That's how obscure of an obsession PEZ is, it needs to be supplemented with other childhood curiosities, like throwing cocaine in everyone's face because you didn't bring enough poppers to go around.
After the tour, you can hang around in the storefront and buy yourself some PEZ merchandise (i.e. more fucking dispensers) and texting your friends about putting PEZ in their PEZ so they can dispense while they dispense, although there's a good chance that if your friend actually feels jealous at you for being at the PEZ museum, they're probably too far removed from the modern age to get the joke. In fact, do you?
Afterwords you go home with your newly purchased Pokemon PEZ dispensers that you only bought for the novelty of it all and try to move on but eventually you are lured back because eBay just doesn't cut it and you try to rope other people into it but nobody's ever as interested as you'd like them to be and now every girl I meet thinks I'm a nutter because I'd rather go to the PEZ museum on a date than some overpriced coffee shop with vegan cupcakes and I'm all alone on a Friday night (or will be, since it's Sunday right now) and it's all your fault, PEZ! Why couldn't I have gotten into something useful like blow?
Wait, what?
Shit.

This place blends in with the environment like a chameleon but the inside sticks out like a sore thumb.
There's PEZ everywhere! Huge collections of different types of PEZ dispensers and flavors that it gets overwhelming. The husband and wife duo who run the place are friendly and accommodating. It's $3 per person for what seems like a 10 minute "tour" of the back facilities but its pretty cool. The guy is an encyclopedia when it comes to PEZ and he'll go on and tell you the history and story of how it came to be.
He even has 2 of the "Build your own PEZ dispenser face" things which are valued at $3000 each.
Sign the guestbook when you leave!

Pros:
-Unique/one of a kind place. I believe it's the only museum in the world dedicated to Pez.
-1 block away from Caltrain (great if you're coming from SF and don't want to drive) and there's plenty of street parking nearby.
-The gentleman who owns it knows everything about Pez and its history, and is happy to share it with you.
-Last time I was there, there was a fun electronic game you can play to quiz you on your Pez knowledge--it has a screen with questions and you answer multiple choice. I hope they still have it.
-Gift shop items you can buy--even a new Pez dispenser is only a couple of bucks.
Cons:
-"Museum" is a misnomer. It's a tiny store with a small room that displays the classic Pez dispensers. That's all there is of a museum. It's really just a small store. A very small store. Calling it a museum is a little misleading! It's one tiny room with a display of dispensers, and that's all.
-If you don't care about Pez, you'll be bored. And most of the kids today won't get the charm or delight in seeing older characters, like the Flintstones, Scrooge McDuck,Kermit, or even Betsy Ross. Most kids under 12 will really only care about the contemporary Star Wars or Pirates of the Caribbean ones. If so, what's the point of going to a museum that displays classic dispensers, when you can just buy those new ones at Toys R Us?!! I can't imagine an 8 year old seeing a Foghorn Leghorn Pez dispenser and knowing who that is.
-The museum recently started charging admission. It's only like $3 or $5 bucks, but since it's so tiny, it seems silly to charge people to simply look at a display case. They have numerous things you can buy--candy or small toys, so obviously the place can earn a profit that way! If I am incorrect and the museum is free, let me know and I'll add another star.

Tiny little store and museum. The front has the store with current and collectible Pez dispensers you may purchase. The back has the small museum for $3.
I grew up with Pez, they had Disney, Hello Kitty, Incredibles, NASACR, Elvis....you name it.

This is one of the wackiest things in the bay area if you ask me. It's a tiny, tiny "museum" and the guide there knows way too much about Pez than your average person. That said, it's definitely worth checking out at least once in your life. I am a collector of Pez dispensers because I own more than three. They do have some really cool pez dispensers that I've never seen in my life but overall, if you have time and you want to do something off the beaten path, by all means check it out. It's a short walk from the Caltrain station.

It's been a over a year since I've been here, but it's just too funny a place not to share. I went on a first date here, but it wasn't really a date when the day started. You know, one of those days that just evolves into one.... Anyhow, to the point, this is a tiny little store with Pez-galore and a guide that knows anything and everything about Pez.. In fact, when I went, he had recently purchased and received the original neon lights from the original the Pez factory in Vienna. The guide is very enthusiastic and he makes an unusual hobby and collection fun and entertaining. A cheap adventure that's totally worth it -- everyone should check it out!!

Five Stars if you are a PEZ fan.
It is a bit of a trip from the East Bay, but it is a fun trip.
Don't expect a Museum-sized museum; think mini museum.
It is small but jammed with almost every Pez dispenser known to the Universe! Plus they have Pez dispeners for sale from Hello Kitty to Superheroes to Star Wars to Simpsons to Bob the Builder to GIANT Pez dispensers to a Jar Jar automated dispenser.
If you pay a small admission charge you get a very informative tour and lecture by the owner (You can look for free on your own).
Check the website or phone ahead for open hours,

Daughter collects Pez so we took a drive over one summer day. This place is small! The museum is in the back room. The 'tour' ($3.00 for adults, $1.00 kids) consists of the owner taking you back and talking about the origins of Pez and some trivia about them. Learned some new things...saw some cool things....daughter picked up a fun book on Pez dispensers. The owner says he has at least one of every Pez dispenser made, & he knows his Pez! Also in the Pez museum in back, a variety of vintage toys: lincoln logs, erector set, view master, colorforms, etc.
This is a great place to pick up hard to find dispensers. Run of the mill ones I can find at Dollar Tree, Wal Mart or Cost Plus. Street parking w/ meters only,
I live just a few blocks away, so it was only a matter of time until I visited this place. I am glad I did.
It is compact - but Pez is small. It is surprisingly dense. The proprietor is friendly and eager to tell you about his collection and Pez history. Standout item is the original factory sign. Also, there has to be a Pez head to delight anyone with any interest in toys, cartoons. films, etc.

Oh, the Pez Museum is just so much fun. It's one of the places I like to take out-of-town guests that isn't the usual day-in-San-Francisco. The front of the museum is a shop that sells Pez candy and dispensers (at very reasonable prices), and the back, which is about as big as my small apartment kitchen, is the museum. The museum supposedly features every Pez dispenser ever made (along with some vintage toys like Lincoln Logs), and the owner will give you the "grand tour" for $3. You can also download a podcast (Google for Pez museum podcast) that is pretty much the same as the tour, and you get a discount if you come with the podcast. The podcast is 45 minutes long, which may seem a little long for a museum that's smaller than many closets, but it's quite captivating!
The Pez Museum is well worth checking out; it's just so random, odd, kitschy and fun. It's also right off Burlingame Avenue so there's a lot to do nearby when you're all Pezzed-out.

This place is pretty quirky/weird and worth a quick stop if you're in the neighborhood. However, it's pretty small (just one tiny back room) and there isn't a whole lot of information about Pez other than what's said on the "guided tour" (which is probably 1/2 about Pez and 1/2 about other toys).
There are some creepy things here -- like little miniature hand-made scenes with hand-written labels. Definitely a one-of-a-kind place.
Without a doubt, one of the highlights in my weekend in the Bay Area. I had been looking forward to this ever since we discovered its existence.
The museum is one little room along a row of random stores on California Dr. It's got a small blue sign outside that of course, spells "PEZ" in the little candies.
When you enter, you're surrounded by PEZ of all varieties to purchase. The sweet old lady behind the counter will sell you a ticket to the tour for only $3. The tour--one room with memorabilia. The guide, a PEZ collector who will regale you with information about the origins of PEZ, and all the exciting memorabilia. (They've also got a tidy little collection of old toys--including the original Mr. Potato Head, the first EZ-Bake Oven, Tinkertoys, View Masters, and the like.)
Highlights include PEZ signed by some members of the Star Wars cast, Charles Schultz, Jim Davis, and Mr. Box (Jack, that is). They've got the first ever dispensers, as well as posters advertising the project. You'll learn the origins of the word PEZ (I won't give away the fun), and all about how new PEZ come onto the market.
You can then purchase several different PEZ-associated items. Whether you're just looking to buy the newest dispenser, or an avid collector searching for a missing piece; you may just get lucky.
DO NOT miss out on the PEZ museum. Probably the best $3 I've spent in a while!!

Great place to go when you just start dating. If you are not laughing but the end of the tour (15 minutes max) you just are not human. I agree with Amy j's review that the guide know way too much about Pez. He is enthusiastic and makes it fun. The gift shop up front has a great selection of Pez dispensers and they are not ridiculously expensive. If you remember Pez as a child and want to take a trip back drop by and check it out.

Popped here by myself one day out of pure boredom and it was awesome. The museum itself is very small, but it has a ton of Pez dispensers that I either a) had when I was young and b) wish I had now that I'm older.
Nice little stop to kill 30 minutes to an hour.

Fun place, worth at least one visit. The owner claims to have at least one of every PEZ dispenser ever issued--although they don't all seem to be on exhibit. Plenty are, though, so you can witness firsthand the evolution over the years, and perhaps remember a few you used to have. Also in the museum: original cartoon art featuring PEZ, celeb photos signed to the museum, huge PEZ letters from the original factory, and a recently-unveiled human-sized Pez-dispenser-dispenser! Looks like a giant dispenser, very cool.
Admission price includes the classic toy exhibit (think Colorforms, Lincoln Logs & such) that's tucked away back there, plus lots of information firsthand from the collector himself. He's very nice, ready to answer any questions you have, and oh--he's also appeared on the game show--"will the real PEZ Museum curator please stand up!"
Now THERE is a claim to fame!

Looks like they may have dropped their price to visit the backroom where the museum is, but they do have A LOT of PEZ and while I have been collecting for well over half my life I try to make sure that I don't just purchase all the PEZ I can find, I try and get them as gifts and the hard to find ones. I open them all since I had a friend build me PEZ shelves :) except for the collections/sets, which stay closed. We passed this place twice since we didn't expect the strip mall, but finally found it on the way to the airport at the end of our trip. It was certainly great to see and was very surprised to find that they were the only bidder on eBay when the PEZ folks sold off the PEZ sign from the building in Austria, go figure. Ok, PEZ geekiness done, if you're into PEZ and in Northern CA take a gander! There's also plenty of PEZ to buy and plenty of other toys to see!

Be prepared, it is just one small room behind a smaller retail space (where you can buy just about any pez on the market today), but filled with pez and other older toys and games. The curator tells a great story. Well worth the visit. A tiny gem in the bay area. The original Mr./Mrs. Potato Head complete with real potato was a highlight for me.

I think it's actually worth the drive to check this place out. I took my Family there 'cause I thought that my daughter would enjoy it but we all did. I even bought a scuba diver Pez dispenser, Who knew they had those? You will learn more about Pez than you could ever imagine. Actually you could learn a lot from Rick H's review also but it is worth the trip. Plan on having the Kids wired from sugar for a few hours afterward.

Fun alternative museum in Burlingame. I really like how you can not only view Pez but buy some of the harder to find Pez items too! They have large Pez exhibit with lots of historical and collectible information regarding this fun toy/treat. I enjoyed their informational video too. And the guy behind the counter was really helpful. We spent about an hour there and had a good time, its smaller then I thought it would be but absolutely packed inside. There were also a bunch of other cute shops to peruse nearby. A great place to bring the kids or a Pez collector.

Remember the little plastic cartridges with crazy character heads that popped sickly sweet rectangular-shaped candy out of their mouths? Want to literally be engulfed by them? Then you should check this out. Yes, you saw right; this is the world renowned Pez Museum and gift shop. Not even in Pez's home country of Austria is there such a museum. For three bucks, the proprietor will give you a personally guided tour of the museum, which consists of one little room crammed full of the rarest, oldest and most valuable examples of Pez memorabilia anywhere this side of Ebay. In fact, I learned that Ebay credits its existence to Pez. Ebay was founded, believe it or not, by Pierre Omidyar in 1995 as an online venue for then fiancee Pam Wesley to trade Pez stuff with other Pez-crazed collectors. As we all know, Ebay blew up, and all because of Pez! A better value you will not find. Worth checking out for a few minutes (or more) if you're spending an afternoon shopping on Burlingame Avenue.
