I was looking for a good breakfast/lunch place with some friends and found this lil gem of a place!!
The chicken teriyaki is a must! I never order chicken teriyaki at sushi restaurants after eating it here! -

Located in the industrial part of Hayward behind Cabot college. Tried the bacon and egg breakfast burrito and was very satisfied. The HUGE burrito had bacon (my choice of meat), egg, chunky potatoes, and I added cheese for 30 cents. Yum!
Half of the menu is breakfast, but they also have burgers, Mexican burritos, and a Korean plate lunch.
Only open for breakfast and lunch and closed on Sundays.
I will definitely be back again! -

I went here for their breakfast burritos which were so highly recommended on Yelp. The burritos were definitely large, however, not too flavorful. The parking lot is small, and there aren't a lot of other businesses in the area. Service was rather quick and very nice. The coffee was weak, but was nice as it was a self-service.
I did find it odd that they had pastries and cigarettes for sale out of the same display case. -

uhmm okay...so my boss bought me and my coworker breakfast this morning. He eats here all the time and usually the breakfast sandwiches and typical bkfast (eggs, bacon, toast) is pretty good. Needless to say our bkfast burritos were dry, unseasoned and and all around thumbs down. I guess the best thing about it was the warm tortilla (what?!)
I was disappointed since all the other reviews on Yelp glorify these burritos. Maybe the cook was just having an "off" morning and took it out on our orders. Regardless, I'll stick to my bkfast sandwiches...knowing that my appetite will be satisfied. -

The bacon breakfast burrito with cheese is amazing. I don't know how I ever did without it. Can't wait to go back and try some of their other breakfast stuff.

I started working nearby and I was told by a couple of coworkers to try this place's breakfast burritos. At first glance, this family-owned place looks sketchy but the food is definitely worth it.
For $4.00, you can get a generous-sized breakfast burrito with your choice of meat (ham, chorizo, sausage, etc.), potatoes, eggs, cheese, and hot sauce, if you ask for it. Whenever I eat a breakfast burrito from here, I can go throughout most of the day without eating since it's so big and filling.
The husband and wife are friendly and courteous and the cooks are quick at preparing your food. -

I usually have breakfast at home, but I was in the mood for a breakfast burrito and I always pass this place on my way to work. I decided today to check it out!
I got there just about when they opened with one person ahead of me already waiting for their food. About 3 minutes later, two other people entered. I got a reg chorizo burrito with cheese and it took them over 10 minutes to hand over my food!
The burrito itself wasn't anything amazing...yes it was on the big size but that is due to the hash browns but once you get rid of those it is a small portion of egg/meat. They also didn't add my cheese but I was already at work when I discovered this.
I am unsure if it was the "Just Opening" mentality or what not but I've had better burritos at the food trucks in that area and will def skip this place in favor of those! *they are cheaper too!* -
Review from Chris C.
I go to school down the road and when I'm starving and in the mood for a greasy-ass breakfast burrito, I find myself at Burger Road. Half the time I don't remember even driving there; then all the sudden I am ordering the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito with cheese (costs extra). I try not to make a habit of eating here because of the high fat/calorie content, but sometimes I just cannot resist. They really make the most satisfying burritos that I usually cannot finish in one sitting. Half a burrito is just about right before I stuff myself, and for the price you can't beat a burrito that will get you through two meals!

When I had first heard about Burger Road, I was told two things: 1) They have the best breakfast burritos and 2) It can be addicting.
My first experience was a linguica breakfast burrito. And as I was chewing that first bite, I knew that yes, this was a damn good burrito and that yes, I could definitely convert. And from the "oohs" and "mmms" from everyone else who shared in on my experience, I'd say I'm not alone. You may be reading this and be somewhat confused that I'm talking about breakfast at a place called Burger Road. But surprisingly, there is an extensive breakfast menu. From omelets to sandwiches, there's something for everyone during the morning rush.
Will definitely have to come back for lunch to see if the place can live up to its name. But if it's anything like their A.M. selection, I'd be a happy camper. A definite gem in The Stack.Listed in: Hometown Spots

I finally made it out to Burger Road. It was kinda busy for 8:00 a.m. Everyone, and I mean everyone, was either ordering or picking up the breakfast burrito ($4.78). Why differ? So I ordered a breakfast burrito as well. The order is kinda buried amongst the rest of the menus, but it's there.
The employees were made up of an asian guy and two asian ladies working the grill. The hospitality kinda reminded me of the soup Nazi, but they do open at 6 a.m. How do they do it?
So I get my burrito with bacon as the meat option. It comes wrapped in foil and a paper bag. Besides the meat option, the burrito is also filled with potatoes, cheese, scrambled eggs, and hot sauce.
After a couple of bites I'm digging it but can't help to think, "This is it?". As good as it is, it's pretty plain. While there is hot sauce, it's more like little pieces of hot chili flakes rather than a sauce. I think this burrito could use some bell peppers or salsa. Something with a crunch and spice.
The breakfast burrito is mighty filling. I could only eat half of it. This is prime hangover food. But if you don't have a hangover, then you could probably whip this up at home.1 Previous Review: Show all »

My friend and I came here today in hopes to try their unicorn meat filled breakfast burritos but we were late by half an hour. : ( so instead we both got patty melts. The fries were good, but the actual melt itself was delicious. No frills about this place, but that's what I like about it.
The staff was friendly and the food came out super quick. We have to come back for those burritos! -

HUGE BREAKFAST BURRITOS!!!!!
My hunny has been telling me about this place because they have huge and tasty burritos. Icing on the cake: IT'S ONLY 5 BUCKS!!
One downside is there are extra charges for cheese, sour cream, guacamole, ect. But for cheap prices, you can't blame them. I will be coming here more often. :) -

Food is always good. The only negatives are: I like to eat here but the chairs and catsup bottles are so grungy feeling that I want to wash my hands after I touch them. And, they skimp on napkins - really people, they don't cost THAT much, put a dispenser on the table. I keep coming back though!

i work within a mile of this fine establishment, and i heard about it from a couple coworkers. They have received them as gifts, and boy the BREAKFAST BURRITO looked like something that could fill you for 4-7 hours. Being an expert of BB's, my jealousy lead me to the source, Burger Road. For $5 and change you get a monster. I usually add in another meat (1 is standard), and ask for extra hashbrowns. Sometimes ill call in an order for my coworkers and its always ready for p/u in 10 min. Highly recommended.

I'm glad burger road already has a yelp entry. I was going to enter all the info. The best way to describe Burger road is to think of it as a catering truck, but not on wheels. The menu items are printed on 8.5 x 11 sheets of paper and they are all magnificent. It is a dive in an industrial area, but the food never disappointed. Also, try the breakfast sandwiches...really good. Also, they serve monster Pepsi's without lids.....pretty cool if you ask me.

Review from Victor G.
on the corner of american & clawiter is a makeshift diner with a 15 table sitting capacity. inside burger road, there's a korean stepford wife clone cooking tirelessly and emotionallessly (looking at me once doesn't count) at the grill and a herman munster clone with a korean energizer battery upgrade working the register. (this guy has such nervous energy!) there are no menus, just random placards of items offered and the price thereof.
ordered a spicy breakffast burrito(3.85) w/ cheese. + coffee(1.25)=5.98
pros:
-cheap food, free parking
-large burrito w/ lots of potato]
-filling
cons
-farmers coffee, mild, bland
-cheese not schredded, but single or half slice placed on skin of burrito
-sausage overcooked (burnt?)
-too salty
many options available, fish (3 pcs) 5.50, egg & meat on bun (2.49?)
burgers, 2 eggs...(3.99) 3 eggs/omlettes, any style (5.99)...with toast and potatoes.

This place is really cheap and good. If you happen to be in your car and notice it you think "hole in the wall" but when you go inside you think "oh I ws right this place is a whole in the wall". The apperance speaks notice of the good "truck stop" food you get here...burgers for lunch or a blueberry muffin or ginormous burrito for breakfast. The owner is really friendly and very helpful.

Not only was my breakfast burrito huge it tasted fresh. I guess I've had too many fast food buritos loaded with salt and who knows what else. This was full of scrambled eggs, grilled potatos, cheese and bacon cooked just right. It just needed a bit more salsa to make it perfect. Will go back the next time I'm ready for a one meal day.

Another Yelp success story! As most people have mentioned the breakfast burrito is terrific. I can't really speak about anything else though. This place is kinda far for me to go very often. If I happen to be in the area in the morning, I will probably come here and get that breakfast burrito.

Their steak sandwich is a ripout for what they charge. Its so small it would've been better to dice it up and call it a philly. Then again, there isn't much to eat in this area where I work so its good for what it is. Its a good place to go for lunch and relax. I haven't tried the burritos but everyone talks about it.

Pretty good place if you need a quick bite to eat. I've only gone there in the morning because it's on my way to work and I work across the bay, so I have not tried the lunch menu. I've tried the breakfast burrito which is pretty big, but is a little dry. It's tastes pretty good, but I think if they added some kind to sause or salsa, it would make it better. The have menu items plasted all over the walls, so you should be able to find something that will help your hunger. And the prices there are pretty good also.

If you're going to name your business "Burger Road," then you better have darned good burgers. I had their basic cheeseburger and fries to go. The burger only had mayo/mustard (i.e., no secret/special sauce). I added some ketchup, which made it edible, but it was disappointing. The fries were soggy and really oily to the point of saturating through the brown paper bag. Overall it was below average, so if you want a good burger look elsewhere. Also, the guy working behind the counter was pretty unfriendly. Mediocre burger with bad service.

They have the best Breakfast Burritos EVER! Seriously the best ever. Unfortunately I can't eat them anymore because they give me ridiculous heart burn. I work across the street and eat at Burger Road at least once a week. The Korean couple that own the place is really really nice too. If you're in the area in the morning, you'd miss out if you didn't try the Burritos.
