So good!
The service was awesome. They welcomed me and told me not to worry about anything and I ordered my burger and fries.
Salmon Burger with half half fries-onion rings
SERVICE:
They came to us often and asked us if we needed help and were SUPER friendly. I like they ask how we're doing often.
PARKING:
They actually have parking for free UNDERGROUND. WIN!
FOOD:
My salmon burger was falling apart but I expected that since it's fish and fish doesn't really hold well. So I had it and SO good. I was happy with it.
AMBIANCE:
Very contemporary hip burger place. You place this card in a machine so they know what table and order you are. So smart and technologically advanced :D

MMMMMMMMMMMHMMMM burgers so good you wanna lick the plate :P!!!
I must say these are some tasty burgers!! I love the location and I love the food. You have to have to get the Beef burger. I tried the Salmon burger and although it was delish it had no chance against the beef patty. But the absolute best part was the tower of onion rings/fries. SOOOOO good! I will be returning for more more more. This food really does make your insides smile -

Thanks you for putting this together!
I was obsessing with each bite of my Lounge Burger the whole time... And the onion rings dipped in their own barbecue sauce recipe? Totally takes the win! -
Review from Ratika N.
Had such a good time at the yelp tasting event...the burgers are amazing. It was also fun to run into my other yelp friends (Dee D, so glad we were able to catch up this time!)
Hubby ordered the lounge burger while I had the wild Alaskan salmon. I was apprehensive about ordering the salmon as whenever I get this, it's always a tad dry and pretty boring. But the salmon burger at Burger Lounge did not disappoint! It was so tasty and perfectly flavored. Hubby loved the lounge burger...I wish I could give them another star for having grass fed beef, wild Alaskan salmon (and not farmed) and organic ingredients! Also, the manager told me that on weekends, they are open till 3 am.
The setting is pretty cool with a modern vibe and the service was really friendly. I can't wait to go back here!Listed in: Yelpilicious events!

So I just got home and put my munchkin to bed after going to this, my first Yelp event. YUM!
I mean seriously how could you f up a burger you are thinking I know right? Well I have been there and it is super easy to do. Thankfully these guys didnt do anything of the sort!
The munchkin and I truly enjoyed the evening and location. It was great to meet a couple of the other folks from YT and be able to prove that I am not a sock puppet :P
Onto the grub I guess:
So we got a lounge burger and a munchkin burger!
Everyone else was happily taking burger fries rings frings etc pics... so I took one of the munchkin burger http://s3-media2.ak.ye... It was a small patty with a bed of lettuce on a nice airy bun. My daughter thought it was super tasty. The seasoning on her burger (yeah she couldnt eat it all so I got a bite) was spot on. My Lounge burger was absolutely delightful and thoroughly enjoyed! Mine also had proper seasoning and had some nice flavor. A bit of pink in the middle was super juicy and cooked very well. The key to many burgers is not overcooking and they cooked it exactly how you want them to...
To go with our burgers the munchkin got fries and a sprite. I had water and Frings. The Onion rings were tasty, and had been dusted with basil. The fries were also dusted with basil and light and crispy. I think the fries were much better than the Onion Rings. The rings were average with a bit of basil the fries were super tasty.
I also suggest that you get the homemade fresh ranch. The buttermilk and basil are clearly tasted and the sauce lights up your taste buds. I can tell my daughter really liked the ranch since while eating her french fries I looked over and she had her fingers to the second joint and a french fry nub sitting in the ranch... AHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhh ohhh well she is 5 so I asked her not to do it again, but it was very telling of how much she liked it.
Service was very good as they were on their toes due to this being an open event for Yelpers, myself included. I am glad this was a free event as it was great to try a new burger joint. I feel super special having been able to be a part of this event.
On to some constructive suggestions that would have bumped this up to a 5***** star for me. Some of these things are likely done for non yelpers.
*upsell the fact that you have three beers on tap! OMG I was craving a beer tonight and didnt see the tap until I had received my grub. I would have gladly paid for it as well!
*upsell the dreyers floats and shakes. I didnt know you had those until I got home.
*the bar seats (against the window) were good. What would make them great is to have a foot rail. The stools had a foot rest, but the foot rail would have been perfect!
*please serve the grub with more than one napkin per person! if I hadnt received extra sauce with more napkins, especially having a 5 yr old with me, I would have been in DEEP dirty trouble!
But this was a great experience and I truly enjoyed it. I do plan on returning when I am in the area and looking for a burger. Definitely well worth the trip to WeHo!Listed in: Sobriety Free Zone, WTY

I really wanted to like this place....
AND I DID!!
Simple & affordable... That's what won me over.
The burgers weren't over the top and fancy like other joints in LA these days.
The meat was juicy, vegetables fresh, and the bun was light and just rrrright!
We couldn't decide which were better: the onion rings or the french fries.
Both were awesome.
Onion rings had a light batter and a perfect crunch.
Fries were crispy on the outside and slightly chewy on the inside (think in n out)!
Prices were spot on.
And I can't forget the decor.
It was nice & bright inside with great modern/minimal furniture.
Service was great..
Only thing we didnt get was the number on the table.
Once you order, you get a number, and then you take it back to your table and swipe it through this gadget.
It took us a while to figure it out and other tables seemed to have the same problem.. Sometimes too much technology is just too much!
Can't wait to come back and enjoy our burger with some beer and wine.
The outside patio area is beautful and the heaters were going at it full blast tonight.
Thumbs UP! -
Review from Rob P.
I just got back from the yelp tasting event and Burger Lounge and I do have to say I was pretty impressed. There have been a whole wave of restaurants recently trying to dress up the classic burger in a gourmet wrapper. I have largely been disappointed by just about all of these establishments. The Burger Lounge, though, really succeeds at what it was trying to do.... that is cook top notch, well conceived burgers and place them in a very cool modern setting.
Upon walking in I was pleasantly greeted and shown the menu for the tasting. http://s3-media4.ak.ye... The entire menu was available tonight and my mind start spinning at the possible combinations!. My eyes landed on the Wild Salmon Burger, Half and Half (half onion rings and half french fries, and a mexican cola.
THE ORDER - http://s3-media1.ak.ye...
Salmon Burger - 4.5 out of 5 - Wild salmon patty, battered and deep fried green tomatoes and a house made BBQ glaze. The burger was delicious! The salmon patty was soft, delicate and very flavorful. It was topped with a BBQ sauce that really brought it together. It had a nice punch of citrus and subtle sweetness that worked well with the salmon patty and the fried green tomato gave the burger a very nice crunch. Very well balanced and put together. One of the better salmon burgers I've ever had
Half and Half - 4 out of 5 - The onion ring half were TERRIFIC! These guys do it right. The onion rings were battered well, crisp and held on the the onion on every bite (the mark of a great onion ring). The French Fries were very good as well. They are twice fried belgian style, meaning they have a very light batter on them and were very very crunchy. Texturally they are a lot like In-N-Out fries but much better. Also the serving is HUGE. I barely finished half... so this is a great thing to split with a friend or significant other.
Mexican Cola - 5 out of 5 - Of all the things I had today, I was most surprised at they had a really good mexican soda on tap. This is possibly the first time I've ever seen that. If you haven't had a high quality cola made from pure cane sugar...instead of a bunch of artificial sweeteners....do yourself a favor and try it. These kinds of sodas have a much more subtle, deeper and earthier sweetness to them that is SOOOO much better than your regular off the shelf soda.
SERVICE
Service was absolutely wonderful 5 out of 5. The servers kept circling around, and busing tables, refilling sodas and checking in with the customers. The general manager was around too checking in on everyone and asking about their experience. You can really tell these people are proud of their restaurant and what they are doing.
AMBIANCE
The Burger Lounge is just cool place to hang out. The decor and feel of everything is very modern, including the great way they track your order. You are give a little plastic number, and at each table is a little machine, you stick it in and it tells the servers in the back what table you are sitting at. http://s3-media3.ak.ye... Even though it is a very modern place, it still keeps enough traditional diner-style touches to evoke a bit of nostalgia. The long counter up front where you can look into the kitchen and the nice booths along the wall.

Thank you, Laura S. for telling me about this event!
I don't give out 5 star reviews freely. I'm not giving this event 5 stars because it was free. I'm not giving it 5 stars because of the cool Yelper company. I really, really enjoyed the food, the service, and the ambiance, and it's a 5-star-worthy spot, even if I had paid for it.
We got lucky and got a meter right outside on Sunset Blvd. I noticed a free, underground parking lot. Free parking on Sunset Blvd??? That's a star, star and a half already.
Here is what I loved about Burger Lounge:
- Overall concept of high-quality, fresh, organic, never frozen or processed ingredients and well-made burgers
- Beer, wine, lots of sodas made with real sugar, including Mexican Coke
- FANTASTIC service. Yes, we were at a Yelp event, but even though this was an order-at-the-counter place, staff still comes around to ask how you are and offer some housemade mayo or BBQ sauce (highly recommended!)
- Burgers were HUGE patties that extended beyond the giant, soft, dinner-roll-type buns. Lettuce and tomatoes were crisp.
- Comfortable, modern seating
- Fries and onion rings were well-seasoned and tasty. Such a large portion that I think the container was bottomless, or kept refilling itself.
This is definitely a restaurant that has found something special to offer, and does it very, very well. The manager even came out to talk to us a little, too. I can't wait to try the salmon burger and would loooove to finish a night in Hollywood by stopping by here.
Not part of Burger Lounge, but I also enjoyed socializing with Laura S., Dave D., Rob P., Tati, and I can't remember all of the names! -

What I Had:
The Lounge Burger ($7.95)
Half and Half ($4.95)
Food Review: The Lounge Burger includes 100% American grass-fed beef, something Burger Lounge prides itself on. It was great! I've harped and harped on the attention necessary for burger buns, and the Lounge Burger sure kept that in mind. The burger buns were much like a whole wheat dinner roll sliced in half, slightly chewy, and soft on the inside. The patty reminded us of the Five Guys burger patties, whereas the presentation of the other ingredients like grilled onions in the melted cheese, the lettuce, and tomato was much like In-N-Out burgers. If I had to pick one thing that set this burger apart from these other burger chains, it would be the buns.
The Half and Half was awesome. The fries had a texture closer to In-N-Out's fries than Five Guys's fries for sure, but we loved that they gave us an option that had both fries and onion rings.
Service Review: Fabulous. This is one of those few reviews when I don't say something along the lines of "Nothing in particular" or "Not much to say." Craig and the other gentleman who were serving us were really good about explaining the menu items and checking up on us. Also, their "lounger tracker" is probably unnecessary in such a small restaurant, but just really cool! Unique to Burger Lounge. Also, we didn't have to wait longer than 5 minutes for our food. HUGE difference from this and the excruciatingly long wait time at Five Guys for a burger and fries.
Venue Review: Not that big of a restaurant, but the ambiance is awesome. It feels hip, trendy, modern, and fun all at the same time. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor tables have plenty of heaters. Indoor seating includes tables and booths. There is a small parking lot where we were able to park with about 7 spaces, free for customers.
Overall Impression: Delicious burgers, love the half onion rings and half french fries menu item, and above average service. The burger is, as expected, a bit pricier than similar burgers. Maybe this is because, like many people, I couldn't tell the difference between grass-fed and non-grass-fed beef. This made it more difficult to differentiate the burger from burgers like In-N-Out, but without a doubt I'd come back for the great service and the atmosphere.Listed in: Best SoCal Burgers

I'm definitely a fan and I want to go back to try their salmon burger. I had the quinoa veggie burger ($7.95) and my hubz had the lounge burger (7.95). We got one order of fries (large 3.99) and one order of onion rings (large 4.99), a diet coke which I refilled with Mexicane diet coke ($2.25), and the hubz got a Mexicane coke ($2.25). I love that they had natural sodas, and the sides were amazing.
the burgers... were good. not amazing, but GOOD, for the price point. I'd still probably still pay a little more and pick umami over this place but i enjoyed the fact that there were enough different things about burger lounge that i'd be back. the quinoa veggie burger was definitely on the much more buttery side than i'm used to (i like stout burger's quinoa veggie burger) but the lounge burger was pretty decent. Next time I go I'll try the salmon burger and the turkey burger and return for the sides.
Their sauces are awesome too. We tried ranch and their bbq sauce. parking underground was hasslefree, which isn't always the case on sunset. -

Look out Hollywood, the burger that's taken over San Diego has landed!
I went in for the Yelp tasting on Monday, the 24th, and man, was it awesome! I've been to almost all of the Burger Lounge locations in San Diego and loved every single visit, and the Hollywood location is no exception.
The place looks great, with heated outside seating and quite a few tables for inside. The service is spot on, friendly and helpful; especially for those that are first timers. I like that the menu is simple but still has something for everyone (meat eaters, white meat eaters, and vegetarians). I have always loved this place for great food, and I'm happy to know that Burger Lounge is expanding to the Los Angeles area. The burgers here are always juicy, fresh, and the onion rings/fries are deeelicious! I've also loved the caesar salad with a burger patty on the side. Yum!!
I wish the best to Burger Lounge and hope to see more locations open up. Now if only there were some in Orange County... :) -
Review from John N.
Awesome how there is a separate review for the Yelp Tasting. OF COURSE this was awesome! For a party of six, this is what the tab looked like. ZERO!! But that's not why they deserve five stars because it was free. They deserve five stars for having such a welcoming staff to greet so many newcomers and regulars. The food quality itself is amazing, especially in their onion rings like always.
TIP FOR THOSE WHO ENJOYED THE SAN DIEGO LOCATIONS:
I asked for their cupcakes but they said they didn't have any. They say their speciality desserts in their area is a sea salted caramel type brownie that they can serve with whip cream and chocolate syrup. This is a MUST try, at least once. Very rich brownie flavor with a complimentary saltiness to it. -
Review from Nicole S.
Awesome event! Burger Lounge's tasting was run exceptionally smooth, and the food itself was excellent. WeHo has been needing a legit burger spot, and I think BL will deliver :)
We ordered the turkey and salmon burgers with a side of fries. Everything was delicious, but seriously, the salmon burger was to die for. The fresh sprouts added a nice light flavor, and the house made bbq sauce just made everything better. To be honest, I slathered that bbq sauce on pretty much everythhing I could get my hands on. Out of control. Oh and I think I forgot to mention--the offer the medio litre Mexican Coke! Love love love.
Service that night was excellent as well. The staff was attentive and quick, and the GM even came out and asked everyone how things were. Decor and ambiance was very modern but still cozy and comfortable at the same time. There is also a heated outdoor patio with some nice cushy-looking seating.
To top off the night, FREE UNDERGROUND PARKING. This place already delivers a mean burger AND they offer some prime WeHo parking real estate?! It really can't get any better. -

YELP EVENT:
Craig M. holdin' it down!
Thanks again for the superb customer service, the delicious Grass-fed beauty of a burger, fries (onion rings) were delicious, and the Mexicane coke was a nice pairing, although a beer would've been nice too! ;)
Everything was great, really. I wouldn't say it's the best burger i've had, even lately, but for the price, location, and lack of pretension within the restaurant- i'll def. come back!
Only thing i'm worried about is parking in the area is usually a hassle...
And the tables and chairs, at least where i was seated DO NOT MOVE- they are bolted in place. Might be a trick to maneuver when I'm a few burgers in!
Over all a laid back "lounge" of a burger joint, plenty of seating indoor and outside (outdoor heaters, woo!), staff all seemed very knowledgeable and smiley, quick service, clean, well lit, Sunset an La Cienega location makes for good traffic!
See you soon! -

Was a happy guest at the Yelp Tasting Event. I had the Lounge Burger w/white cheddar & grilled onions + standard toppings, w/Dijon on the side. Very juicy and 'right-sized'.
Free Parking -- that's right folks, on Sunset Blvd...UNHEARD of!. Spacious and cheery space. Warm and attentive service -- so much so that a woman whose dining experience overlapped with our Yelp event actually COMPLAINED of TOO much attention & servers...!?! (Okay...people like THAT make it harder for people like US who appreciate top-notch service.) This is not even a Legitimate Grievance, so Craig & Co. IGNORE her, cuz WE love you *just the way you are*! Thanks for a very satisfying experience. -
Review from Aaron T.
Inglewood, CA
I heard about this event after having just joined Yelp the previous week, and was happy when I heard I made it onto the RSVP list. I headed up to the Burger Lounge in Sunset not quite knowing what to expect, but hoping that the place at least served decent hamburgers.
The first thing I noticed: FREE parking. (It's L.A., and it's hard to come by, so it's a BIG deal). The second thing I noticed: upon entering the place, it feels like one of those places you'd see in a movie about the future: everything looks updated, smooth, clean, yet inviting at the same time.
The third thing I noticed was the menu. This wasn't just a hamburger place; it was a burger variety spot that gave us other wonderful options, like the salmon burger; the turkey burger; and the Quinoa burger (it's a veggie burger, only the name makes it sound fancy). They also had a choice of salads, chicken tenders, onion rings... the list goes on.
I decided to get the salmon burger, along with a side of 1/2 fries and 1/2 onion rings. When it came time to order drinks, they said that, aside from their beef being made from 100% grass-fed cows, they also made their own sodas. I ended up getting a naturally-made orange soda, which actually looked like a lighter version of Mountain Dew but was one of the best orange sodas I've ever tasted in my life!
Check out the pictures I've provided, where you can see the various items ordered. The salmon burger I ate was delicious, as was the fries and onion rings. I look forward to going back there and trying their beef burger and their chicken tenders. Not a bad start at all for a newly opened restaurant, and highly recommended!
