This place is as good as it gets for quick food after a hard day of snowboarding.... or mountain biking if it is the summer.

This place only accepts cash, so you have to remember that going there, but the cash is well worth it.

The burgers and sandwiches are HUGE!

One will do you, especially if you order the garlic fries with it. (Order the fries, just do it)

No complaints at all. As far as burger joints go, this is the best in town.

went off season in April, no wait in line on weekend 6pm.  Got the simple cheese deluxe (Lettuce, tomatoes, pickle, red onions) turkey burger reminded you of a friend's backyard cookout.  Half order of cajun fries was a great touch and left me full.  Order a milkshake, but too cool that day to try.
Order finished after about 15min, go take out or enjoy small outdoor patio is dog friendly.  Fun place is an old diner feel.
They have gimmicky orders, but good choice, or create your own, just don't hold up the f'ing take out line by staring and mumbling like the old indecisive NY couple in front of me that didn't know to stand aside to let others order but blocked the way and acted like entitled idiots with too much money while they fumbled for 10 min on what they wanted to order.

I had every intention of taking a picture of my burger and then, well, I inhaled it.

My family and I ordered our food to go because we decided to eat it at the lake before our ride on the Tahoe Queen.  This meant sitting in the car for 15 minutes while breathing in arguably the most delicious scent known to man: Pesto!

I got pesto and grilled onions on my veggie burger but more exciting than that is the fact that Burger Lounge makes Pesto Fries!  Oh Lord.  Every single one of us attacked and quickly defeated our burgers.  Winners!

Oh, I should mention that service was quick and the price was low.

If your looking for a real BBQ look no further. The owner is from St.. Louis and if you know anything about good BBQ you know that the midwest has the best! Well he brought that to south lake and it is above and beyond anything like the greasy burgers at big daddys. He uses the freshest ingredients for everything he makes; even his lemonade is freshly squeezed.

Great milkshakes too done the real way with real icecream too!

Great atmosphere, better food, and an extremely passionate owner who knows BBQ better than any other business in tahoe!

    Meh.

I tried this place years ago and remember that it wasn't very memorable.  I tried again recently because I re-read the reviews on Yelp and I wanted to try the Hangover burger because a sloppy fried egg on anything (savory) is yummy!

Thanks to the reviews, I read ahead of time that it's CASH only.  They DO NOT have an ATM on location; the closest one will be at the 7-11 across the street and down one block.

I didn't care for the ambiance as I was ordering to go.  It was empty when I arrived at 7pm on a Thursday night but two small groups came in after me.  The guy at the front was super nice and patient as I planned what I wanted to order for 5 people.  I recognized him from my last visit, too, from a few years back.

I ended up ordering three cheeseburgers with bacon, a kid burger with cheese, a hangover burger that comes with a fried egg and a bacon, an order of regular fries, and an order of cheese fries.  The portions for the fries are pretty large at $4 and change and the guy will tell you that it can feed about 3 adults.  The cheese fries aren't made with ball park cheese but instead with cheddar cheese that is melted on top which I'm never a fan of as it makes the fries really soggy and only the top gets the cheese and it tends to turn into a rubbery mess.  This was no exception.  Everything came out to be about $38.

The burger was overcooked.  It had a nice chargrilled taste but that was all I tasted.  It was so bland and dry I had to slather it with mayo and ketchup.  The size is nice but I'm not a quantity over quality chick.  One guy ate all the burger because he's a burger whore.  My sister's on a low carb diet and just finished a long shift at work so she scarfed the patties down but afterwards mentioned how well done that burgers were, and the rest of us didn't finish.  I really wanted to like my burger and I'll probably return after a few years... when I forget what their burgers taste like and reading the Yelp reviews make me  hungry.

I had to decide the number of stars to give this place. I wavered between 4 and 5 because it was excellent in some aspects and others probably could be better.

First, the 'lounge' in the name is deceiving. There is no place to lounge. In fact, the layout is quite utilitarian. It's a place to sit down and eat. The tables are small. Most of them are barely big enough for two people (as long as you're not too big and you're not carrying a large purse/bag/package of some sort). I think there was a table for four and it was occupied by a young couple with their two young children. The chairs were comfortable enough to sit on for the few minutes you are going to take to finish devouring your food. Certainly not comfortable to 'lounge' in.

The place is not very big. As soon as you walk in, you are standing in front of the ordering counter/cashier where you place your order and pay for your food. There is a menu above the counter where you can choose the burger that calls out your name. It is CASH ONLY, folks! A bit of an inconvenience, but, in my opinion, not a major one. And, no, I did not notice if there was an ATM machine available. That does not mean there isn't one. I just didn't need one when we were there.

After you order, you find a table. Someone will bring out your order to your table. The service was great. Everyone was very friendly and checked on us at appropriate intervals.

There is a fairly large selection of various burgers. Several vegetarian ones are available for the non-carnivores. Though there is no doubt that you will find one (or two) that will whet your appetite, you can easily customize a burger that will make you salivate until your order arrives. To me, the burgers are pretty big, but size in hamburger terms is highly subjective. My husband and I shared one and it was definitely filling. The burger was juicy, perfectly cooked to order, and was seasoned just right.

The bread was soft and tasted fresh. We also ordered garlic fries. THAT was an experience. The serving was HUGE, as in, it was two large servings in one. The fries were seasoned well, cut thin, and crispy.

As for the cost, not bad. A large burger for less than $7. That's not bad.

This is an excellent local hole-in-the wall place to grab a quick delicious bite. I finally settled on giving it five stars because that was exactly what I was looking for. I wasn't looking for opulent ambiance. I wanted comfort food that satiated my tastebuds.

This place was surprisingly good although I can't say I was actually in here. I got to go. This place is small, the food was good and the burgers have such a huge variety of toppers I can't help but want it all.

Of course that'd me me a $15 burger, so I just opted for a double double of sorts cooked perfectly juicy. The burger was huge, and the fries are even bigger. They also serve garlic fries, but seeing as how I did not want to smell like garlic for the remainder of the weekend I opted out and just got normal fries.

The burger was juicy, buns were soft and not crispy or hard / dry and the cheese was just perfectly melted even after I got back to the hotel to be melty deliciousness. I guess they used to serve beer but they don't anymore ... not a huge loss for me since our hotel conveniently serves up $3 pints. This is the Tahoe go to place for burgers!

Great burger joint.......it's like a hole in the wall type of place. Had the Hangover medium rare, coconut shake and pesto fries. Pesto fries are delicious! Milkshakes made here is one of the best! Not watered down with milk....I like 'em thick! Five stars for affordable and tasty. Minus one star for decor and restrooms.

This Burger Lounge i must say, some DAMN GOOD BURGERS! and fries too! only draw back to the place is Cash only. I can look past that though for the quality of burgers & fries this lil burger hole pops out!
I tried the Black & Blue Cajun style burger with the Garlic fries. I will say i would have loved to have tried all the burgers on that list in one day if i could. The burgers are huge and the half order of fries and massive too! I ate at about 2 and didn't even want dinner! This burger i tired had awesome flavor and seasoning with every bite. The Fries were the best garlic fries I've had. My friends ordered up the Cajun style fries and those were even better!

The place is on the small side and parking is rare but well worth the wait. The bathrooms are super small but you're not here to use the bathrooms =)

If you're in South Lake Tahoe and craving a kick ass burger, don't go anywhere else but Burger Lounge!

Ordered to go. Had the Hangover Helper, topped with fried egg and cheddar (comes with bacon but my order sans bacon). Their standard burger patty is huge half-pounders. The burger was delicious!

Also ordered their tomato soup, which is quite spicy and sure warms the belly during winter. Had their pesto fries. Quite yummy. Huge serving. Suggest getting the half-order, which feeds two easily.

I had it to-go. The indoor seating is limited and you will be breathing in the greasy burger smells as the grill from the kitchen basically smokes the entire restaurant. Some seatings outside, good if sunny out but will be cold. No warmer lamps outside.

    Tip: CASH ONLY!

    2 stars - "Meh. I've experienced better."

    My thoughts exactly Yelp.

The burgers here are GOOD, don't get me wrong. They are freakin GOOD. I would give them 5 stars based on the burgers alone. But the service, the service is what kills them. Everytime I've gone in here, I get some dude who's just tooooooo cool, too cool in fact, to be polite. Or get my order right.

Yes, I get that you have tons of "gourmet" burgers to choose from. I'm sure they're delicious. But when I'm so pregnant I'm about to pop and all I want is a friggin cheese burger, all I want is a friggin CHEESE BURGER! Don't look at me like I have a third eye. I am pregnant and I will tear you into teeny tiny little pieces of d-bag unless I get my no-frills cheese burger and get it fast. Are we clear?

So after I slammed pretty boys face into the counter a few times (no but seriously), he seemed to understand the concept of a plain ol' cheese burger. You'd think after having crazy pregnant lady tear into him he'd be careful about getting the order right. You would be horribly mistaken.

I do not like onions. I have never liked onions. My dislike for onions was heightened by the the incubating fetus in my person. Can you guess what was on my cheese burger?

Hubby saw the look of death. Hubby took control. Hubby got them to make a new burger properly so I did not have to assault the Burger Lounge employees. Hubby saved the day.

I live in South Lake and love supporting local establishments, so much so that even after multiple poor experiences here, I kept coming back. Notice how I said "Kept" - ain't happenin' no more. 5 Stars for the burgers (when they can get them right, 0 Stars for the service.

Burger lounge is good, only eaten here once till I found Big Daddy's Burgers. Burgers are good but the fries need work. To me a burger and fries are made for each other, ruins it when one sucks. If the fries here were better it would be a 4.5 star burger joint. Small place, not a lot of seating.

On our way back to Lake Tahoe, we decided to make a stop at this place before engaging the traffic on US 50. Our group had a couple of burger aficionados, so this seemed like the perfect choice.

Having gone out drinking the night before, I ordered the Hangover Helper. Besides having cheddar and bacon, it's topped with a fried egg. I'm a sucker for eggs on everything, i.e. I always get a boiled egg with my ramen.

The fries came out first. While they were solid, it just seemed like they took a bunch of normal fries and tossed a little bit of garlic on top. Plentiful and tasty, but nothing special.

Then arrived the burgers. They don't grill the buns, but that's no big deal. The patty, however, is overcooked and dry. Maybe it is the best burger in Tahoe, but apparently that's not saying much... I'd rather have a Kilgore Burger any day of the week.

Burgers are ok, but not phenomenal like a lot of people say.

I went a few weeks ago and the service on the patio was eye opening. The guy with big side burns started off our dining experience by screaming to the whole patio that if we weren't going to put away our dirty baskets when we're done eating, then we should at least stack them. He then proceeded to ask us how our meal was, and then quipped " it doesn't matter how it is anyway, because no one here gives a shit". That is not taken out of context. After we were finished eating, he also told our party that loitering was not allowed and we needed to leave.

Quite the disappointing experience. The burgers are not worth the service, not even close.

    Super friendly employees.
    Great burgers.
    Great prices.
    Fast service.
    Big portions.
I'm not a big fan of burgers, but I will be going back very soon.
They have quite a good selection of vegetarian options for a burger place.
I usually order garlic fries and then am disappointed with my choice, but here they were great!

We stopped at Burger Lounge for dinner last week based off of Yelp reviews. So, with that being said, thanks all!

My husband got the Heavenly Burger and basically died and went to heaven while eating it. I wasn't super hungry, so I opted for a grilled cheese. It was really good (however, I've never had a bad one). We also got a half order of the pesto fries and half order of the cheese fries. The pesto fries were awesome, but the cheese fries were almost inedible - they were stuck pretty good to the wax paper lining the basket, so we only ate a couple.

If we return to SLT, we will definitely go back!

    THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC.
I feel like if my soul was a restaurant, it would be Burger Lounge.

The food was brilliant. Here's what I had:
BLT - the best I've ever had, and I've had many. The bacon was the crispiest I have ever seen (HEAVEN), the bacon and tomato were FRESH and there was exactly the right amount of mayo. Total PERFECTION.
GARLIC FRIES - Guys. If you like garlic, RUN to Burger Lounge NOW and get a basket of these. Hell, get two baskets (not really, the servings are massive, thank goodness). I was expecting regular old fries with a little garlic salt tossed on top. No. You get a huge basket of fries with GARLIC RELISH allll over. Pretty sure they crush the garlic fresh for every basket, because it tastes like [insert hot celebrity crush of your choice] grabbed a bunch of garlic JUST FOR YOU, smashed it in a bowl with a teeny bit of salt, fresh parsley and a hunk of their hotness, lovingly spooned generous amounts of it onto your fries and used it to propose to you. And you take a bite and say "No I think I'll marry these instead, but thanks anyway". I could hardly get them into my mouth fast enough.

I really wanted to try the chocolate malt (I'm very opinionated about how these should be made, and something tells me they would have gotten it just right), but I was too full of BLT-and-Garlic-Fries-Goodness to fit anything else in my belly.
I didn't have a burger, but other members of my party tried the Ground Lounge (which has everything on it) and the Hangover Helper (a burger with bacon, egg and cheese), and they LOVED them.

Also they have these really hip posters hanging up in there, I liked them a lot.
And they play awesome music!! Zeppelin anyone?

Finally, as far as service goes, we had a great experience. The guy taking orders was extremely friendly! And the guy who brought us our burgers was even friendlier! I thought they were both very nice. I almost felt rude leaving, they were so polite.

This place was suprising.  When you get your food in a basket, you don't expect a lot, but at this place you get a lot.  Giant serving of fries and an awesome burger.  I wanted to share my burger, and they took the time to put it into two separate baskets.

The burger was one of the best I've had in a long time, and definately the best I have had in Tahoe.

My only complaint:  A place with a beer mug for a sign should serve beer.

Darned good burgers. The El Camino, with green chilies and chipotle mayo is out of this world. Cooked to order and piled high with avocados and all the goodies. My kind of burger. I even heard from a reputable source that the veggie burgers are just as good.

Pesto and garlic fries are also great but if there's only 2 of you eating you'll have enough leftover for the next 3 days.

We came back a second time during the week we were in Tahoe and vowed to skip the fries. Weakened at the counter and ordered onion rings. Yummmmmy!!!!

Almost forgot to add that the patio is dog friendly. Plus, plus all around, can't wait till we're back in town!

Ok, I've been to Burger Lounge a few times, had a burger (of course) and some fries. There seems to be quite a few burger places in town that specialize in burgers. So I figure these places had to be awesome and decided to stop in. Service was a bit off (and really slow). The two times I was in must've been off days, since the burgers weren't "darned" or "freakin" good. The were better than mediocre for a specialty restaurant. Miles better than McDonald's, Burger King and Jack in the Box, of course.

I liked Walker Burger in Walker better, and the best burgers I've had were Red Mill Burger in Seattle, WA.

Been goin to Tahoe my whole life, never been to Burger Lounge, until last week. Went with my bro and a buddy. I had the Smokehouse burger, which was AWESOME. Also had an order of garlic fries, which were also AWESOME.  My bro had the "Mess" which is chili, cheese, onions, and some other good stuff over fries. They looked incredible. My buddy had the Sno-Bro burger, which he said was awesome as well.

I need the huge Burger Lounge mug/sign in my front yard.

After being enticed to pull over by the oversized Burger Lounge sign in the form of a mug, we met the NICEST people and got the TASTIEST garlic fries on our way out of town.
We were inspired by the garlic fries write the following:
While passing Lake Tahoe, a large mug we saw-hoe!
We stopped inside and to our suprise, behold! The world's best garlic fries!
Our drive ahead was long and slow, so we placed our order to go.
The car was filled with smell so sweet, hardly we could wait to eat!
With garlic fresh and butter galore, we wished we'd ordered much much more!
We hope life's road will bring us back, so we might enjoy another snack!!

    Holla brothas, keep it realz.

Black & Blue burger please.... and make it a monster.

    What is it you ask?

For $6.00, you get a 1/2 pound of ground beef ( cooked to your liking) blackened in Cajun seasoning, blue cheese, grilled onions. lettuce, and tomatoes, on a sesame bun. And as it's a monster, put another half pounder on there for two bucks more! Add to that a ginormous order of crispy beer battered onion rings, for $4.25, and ya-got a feast for two right there!

There's all kinds of burger combination that'll satisfy any large appetite Plus their order of fries are HUGE!! Our gang ordered one garlic, and one Cajun, and toss in our onion rings, and when we left,,,, honestly there was at least an order size we couldn't finish.

Really small burger joint, with really friendly workers there, the food comes piping hot ( I like that!) and for the price... can't go wrong.

Maybe during a snow storm, they should raise their prices a dollar and buy some heat!!! Cuz brother it was frigged in there. We had to run back to the Jeep, just to get warm!

But hey, the meal was delicious... and that's why we Yelp!

Best burgers on the South Shore, hands down. They have the largest variety of add ons and the meat has a little something extra. The buns are also the best I've had in town. The Hangover Helper is awesome (burger with a fried egg and bacon, breakfast and lunch in one!) The El Camino is also really good. They don't ask you how you want your burger cooked, so if you're picky take the initiative to say something. I love the Cajun fries, can't find them anywhere else! When I feel like dropping more cash (and picking up more calories), I get a peanut butter milkshake as well. If you don't like your milkshakes too thick, they'll mix it a little extra for you.

They're usually super busy around standard meal times. You can call your order in ahead of time and skip the line, but only if you're lucky enough to get through.

Staff is friendly and efficient. The owner is great with regulars and locals.

My issue with them is that they seem to be closed more than open. I've been in town for two months and the four times I've tried to go, they've been closed. They didn't really have issues with this in the past so I don't know what's going on. I've been a loyal customer for six years but this is getting pretty ridiculous. Would be getting 5 stars if I wasn't so frustrated.

I was starving which usually means that any food you come across will seem like the most delicious meal you've ever tried, yet the burger was still the most disgusting thing I've been served. I ordered a cheeseburger with grilled onions. A couple of minutes later I was served a cold patty with barely melted cheese: it was clear that it was prepared hours in advance and reheated rather poorly. The bun was stale and falling apart. Worst of all , the "grilled" onions turned out to be some revolting pickled onions with a nasty sour flavor. I still can't comprehend how any place with the word "Burger" in its name could serve something like this. Reheating a disgusting stale patty and pretending it's a burger is inexcusable.

On the positive side, the cajun fries I ordered were good.

A must stop if you're in Tahoe...

Just based off of looks this place doesn't seem much but don't be fooled.  The portions are huge so it's definitely a good place to stop by if you need to fuel up after a day of snowboarding.  The place is pretty small so it's kinda hard to sit together if you're in a big group.  I came in with a group of 10 people and we had to put 3 tables together in order to fit :/

I got the El Camino burger ($6) and a half order of pesto fries ($4).  They were both very yummy choices. The burger is a little messy to eat but since this is a no frill place it doesn't matter.  A half order of fries is good enough for two people as well.  Also the chili cheese fries are good as well and contains none of that refried bean crap.

Also the owner is super friendly and he started joking around with my group.  He use to be a bartender but now he's making making milkshakes.

    Crappy!
I was all pumped to try this place but was bummed after the first bite of my dry ass burger. I got the pesto fries cuz hella people said they were good. Nope. they tasted like limp, low grade garlic fries. Onion rings were cool. Peanut butter shake was good. Hence the 1 star.
But the burger, come on. It was like one of those patties that gets left in the corner of the grill at a BBQ. Black and dry. I won't be returning.

Best burger I've ever eaten. It probably helped that I was starving after having spent the previous 5 hours or so snowshoeing, but still...I would consider a drive from Sacramento to Tahoe just for another taste!

I had the Ortega burger...it had ortega chiles, pepper jack, avocado, tomato and lettuce. It's been awhile, but I think there may have been chipotle mayo on there as well. The burger itself was so damn juicy and delicious!

I wanted to try the pesto fries but we had limited cash (they don't take cards), so we settled for the regular garlic fries. Lots of fresh garlic and crispy, just how I like them! They seemed pretty vegetarian friendly for a burger joint - there were several non-meat items on their menu, so fear not, herbivores!

Stopped here after reading Yelp's reviews, figured we would try it out. It doesn't seem like they are very fond of tourists here seeing as they acted like we were invisible as they helped the people behind us that they knew by name. They have no sense of customer service here, but the burgers were really good and deserved a few stars. My man had the Monster Black and Bleu, it was huge and very tasty. I had the Hangover Helper, it had bacon cheddar cheese and a fried egg, I loooved it! The seating was kinda awkward and didn't feel very welcoming and our total bill was 25$ for 2 burgers, 2 med drinks and a basket of garlic fries (which was absolutely delicious!). So my recommendation is definitely try it but call in the order in advance and take it home with you!!

We will go back. It was decent, but I wouldn't call it 5 stars. The guy at the counter was a riot, really nice guy. The burgers were good, though a bit greasy for my liking. The fries were killer. However, it was FREEZING inside. OMG! I thought my fingers were going to freeze! It was MAYBE 10 degrees warmer inside than outside and it was 28 outside! YIKES!
If anything, we will go back to keep a local guy in business and to try a few other burgers. Maybe we just came on an "a-ok" day.
    FYI CASH ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stopped here after driving from the San Francisco Bay area and visiting Taylor Creek during the salmon spawning.   I had the cheeseburger with all the fixins' and my wife had a junior-size burger.   About 1/4 of my burger was burned to a crisp, but I'm still giving 3 stars because the rest was great, vegetables were very fresh, and when they saw our doggie sitting with us at the outdoor seating area, they brought him a water bowl.   So I'm thinking the partially-burnt pattie was an anomaly and in general the place is pretty good.

There is really not much more I can say about this place that's not already been said, but I'll try.

Funky atmosphere is right. It was clean enough, but man is it grungy. It's also very narrow, there's very little room to sit inside. Come ready to sit outside.

When we walked in there was one group of customers that had already been served, but other than that the place was empty. I could hear someone talking away in the back behind the counter, but he never came to the front. Finally I had to lean over the counter and say "hello?" and a strange old guy who had been talking to the cook goes "oh, I didn't know anyone was here" and he came to take our order. He was friendly but VERY odd; he looked unwashed, his clothes were filthy, he had hardly any teeth and he threw back his head and laughed at everything we said, so we had a hard time placing our order because he wouldn't stop talking and laughing, it was strange.

We somehow managed to order our single burger (we were thinking it'd be huge so we were going to split it) and the guy throws his hands in the air and with wide eyes says, "you'd better not leave here without ordering fries!" and so we asked which were the most popular, and he said the garlic fries with cheese, so we got those, too.

It took a long time to get our single burger and fries. The fries were not as large an order as everyone says they are, but they're not small, either.  I have a problem with overtly salty fries... these were BEYOND salty for my tastes. My traveling companion thought they were exceptionally salty, too, maybe it was the cheese. At any rate, we did not eat them all, which seemed like some kind of fry blasphemy. I've never met a cheesy fry I didn't enjoy before. I felt sad throwing them out.

The burger, though parts of it still looked a bit pink inside, had been smashed down and totally charred to death on the outside and so sadly it tasted quite burnt. It wasn't as huge as we were expecting but it was a good size for the $6 price tag (that's a great price for a Tahoe burger, I think).  My companion was more disappointed than I, since he'd heard so much about the burger. He said it was just an average burger in his opinion and it did not live up to the hype. I do think that there was a very nice amount of avocado, chili, lettuce and tomato on the burger, the bun was very nice, and I loved the burger sauce.

It is very irritating that they only accept cash, but I've discovered a lot of Tahoe restaurants only accept cash. It's just something you have to be ready for when visiting here. I  have yet to find an independent restaurant on the main strip that takes cards! Isn't that weird?

As a side note: the bathroom was hideously filthy.  But in Tahoe, any restaurant that will actually let customers use the bathroom is a huge  bonus, right?

I went to this place after being told it is the best place to get a burger in Tahoe.  Before I mention anything else, I'm guessing the service we received on this day was just a random "bad day" on the part of the restaurant. But none the less, we had to stand and wait as the owners argued and screamed back and forth at one and other as we waited for our change. It really was quite the scene, something I've never seen before. But it didn't end there, after that was over the woman proceeded to follow us to our table and continue the argument with us and try to explain why her associate/husband (or whatever) was wrong, and made an even bigger scene in front of everybody. This went on for quite a while and was VERY unprofessional.

And the food: we ordered a BBQ burger and a chicken sandwich with salsa and avocado with garlic fries.  The burger was plain bad, and after taking a bite I immediately regretted going to this place. It was burnt and dry, the bread was very large but mostly crust on top, there was very little bacon... I hate half of it and threw it away. The fries were overcooked, though the garlic flavor was pretty tasty, and the chicken sandwich was just okay.

Also, VERY INCONVENIENT, they don't accept ATM/Credit, and so we had to drive down the street to get cash and pay an extra 2.00 in fees. Come on, now a days who doesn't take cards really.

I'm going to give this place another try one day because it came so highly recommended, but no time soon.

Whenever I find myself in South Lake Tahoe, I eat at the Burger lounge and last night was no exception.  They have good variety of large burgers that satisfy my appetite.  They also will cook your burger to order.  Requested medium rare and it was perfect.  I usually get the garlic fries, but this time I went for a combination of regular fries and onion rings.   The onion rings are by far the best that I have tasted.  Not too much batter and no greasy taste.   They only accept cash, but that is a small price to pay for the best burger in South Lake Tahoe.  The causal dive atmosphere is great and the owner always greets me like a friend.  I will be back again and again.
