There aren't too many places you can drive-through and get fast food in Santa Barbara due to the city ordinance limiting drive-through's for the sake of clean air.  So if you just need a quick soda or burger and don't want to get out- the Burger King is the place.

The staff are friendly and never get your order wrong but often the foot isn't that hot so you know it was sitting a while, so I recommend requesting fresh fries and burger to avoid the inconsistencies.  The inside has had a few remodels but never the full pass since there are still 70s tiles along the counter and other places and keep it feeling dingy and forgotten about.

They have a nice outdoor seating area in the sun, which makes it a nice place to be if you do have to stop in and the restrooms are free, non-coin operated so you don't have to embarrass yourself at the front counter just to go pee unlike some FF places.

For kids they provide options such as apple slices instead of fries, and juice or water instead of soda, which is nice.

I always get the chicken sandwich + cheese with the criss-cut fries and am always satisfied.

Bonuses: very close to the car was place so you can get your car washed while you eat!

I stopped by BK as they had a sign for

    BK Joe

And it said to WAKE UP WITH THE KING

    Excuse me?
Who do you think you are?
    Man...
    then I read on:

BK JOE is available in three easy-to-say sizes: small, medium, and large.

    Yes ,easy-to-say was one word.

    Why?
    Who knows?

But are they "easy to say"?
    Medium is always tricky.

Sometimes it comes out like medum, or meeedeeeummm, or medem.

To think that everyone is able to say these words with ease is a tad presumptuous. But when you are unapologetic elitists who still cling to the idea of hereditary royalty, well.... Burger KING, I can't say that I'm surprised.

    Saddened?

    Nope.

    Intrigued?

No, well maybe just a little.

    Thirsty?

    Yep. Cheers!

Alright, I know this is a Burger King and what could be there to review? But seriously, for some reason SB lacks some OBVIOUS stores/restaurants for some odd reason (ie: Target, good Asian restaurants, froyo, etc).

I guess this BK is fairly new since one day when we were craving some onion rings we "nuvi"-ed it and the nearest one was 30 miles away. But on our way back home from downtown we saw this BK. We went back  the next day to try it out. First off we couldn't find it even though we passed it 3 times since they FORGOT to turn their signs/lights on. Second, I basically got items off their value menu since I'm a poor college student. The onion rings were a downer since they weren't warm or crunchy; they were soft. What a disaster. And I decided to try their "Dutch apple pie" which looked pretty delicious on the menu, but it was not.

Um, let's just say I won't be craving Burger King for some time.
