The manager here has a crazy lazy eye but was very helpful.(Although the way this guy was trying to upsell breakfast you would have thought I was at a car dealership).

    However,

I got everybody breakfast for under 13 dollars which I could not have done anywhere else in Mariposa.

Oh and on a side note these guys serve the whole menu all day but it's cooked to order (fine with me) which a lot of other BK's don't do.

The last thing I wanted to find out, after hiking 18 miles for 14 1/2 hours, was that the Whopper was COLD. Damn it all to hell. I was dreaming about a hot, juicy Whopper the last few miles and it was ruined. I had to go eat a chicken fried steak to make up for it.

The fries were hot and Diet Coke fizzy.

Burger King rocks!  After spending most of the day (10hrs) hiking Yosemite's Half Dome and not packing any real food (we were hiking with just water, nature valley bars, & rice krispy treats - very stupid, we should've packed some sandwiches and gatorade), Burger King was freakin' delicious.

The staff were really nice and chill, and they gave us much props for driving up from the bay area and completing the Half Dome hike in a single day.  I order the Double Whopper meal and my cousin had the Chicken Sandwich meal.  We were both starving (it was about 6:30pm) from a whole day without any real food (I hadn't eaten any real food since 12am that morning), so we inhaled the food with only a couple bites.   Thank god there's a Burger King in Mariposa.  I would totally recommend anyone who's starving after hiking Half Dome to stop by this place and grub on some good fast food.

Oh yea, btw, as a sidebar, so I asked the girl working there what people out in Mariposa and Yosemite go/do for fun, and she told me that for fun, people drive over to Merced for the big movie theater and a mall?...  I never knew that Merced was a destination for fun - learning new things everyday.

The service here is a bit slow even when the restaurant is empty during the early hours around sunrise. The employees are also a bit too chatty and talkative even when customers are within earshot.  However, this is the last cheap and relatively quick food option prior to Yosemite National Park, so I'll still have to drop by with some reservations. Food has been fine.

Soooo. It's a chain. The food is fine. The prices are standard Burger King prices. However, service is here is definitely hit and miss. There have been numerous incidents of employees swearing loudly and repeatedly behind the counter or while out around the tables cleaning (one time it was racial slurs). They also tend to be not that fast. On numerous occasions I've stood at the counter for a minimum of 5 minutes, with a completely empty restaurant. I've actually filed customer complaints to the hotline on the back of the receipts, but have never received any responses

The good things about this place is that it's open past just about every other place in Mariposa (except maybe Pizza Factory) and it's cheaper than Happy Burger.

I go back every now and then in the hopes of a better customer service experience...not so much.
