What do you do when the sky suddenly opens up while you're on a class trip to the (outdoor only) 9/11 Memorial?  You run to Burger King!  Last Thursday, 60 shrieking, soaking-wet kids and I got caught in the rain.  The guest ambassador, Martin Morris completely took care of us by allowing us to have a section of the restaurant to dry off and recover.  He actually asked, "How can I help?"  Whoa?!
Asides from Mr. Morris, I was also impressed by the quality of the food and the speed at which it was prepared.  There were over 60 of us after all.

Not exactly the cleanest BK I've ever been to.  I feel sorry for this place because it's so close to the WTC memorial which has no bathrooms, so folks leaving the site stop at this BK just to use the bathroom.  We stopped here for lunch and sat upstairs where the bathrooms are (one each) and saw customers using the bathroom and then leaving the restaurant.  The bathroom line was ridiculously long as there's only one stall for each bathroom and in the women's room, the defective hand dryer kept turning on because it was too close to the toilet roll dispenser. Each wave of the hand would turn it off.
Saw staff standing around the top of the stairs not really doing much but talking. The onion rings were good, but what can you really say about a fast food chain? No one makes fast food onion rings like BK, my fav.

Stopped by here for a quick breakfast before a day of sightseeing. Our server, Tyrah, was very friendly and nice but a little on the clueless side. Took my help and that of the assistant manager before she got the order for four combo meals right.  The two croissanwich meals were both burnt  but the muffin sandwich was good. Probably won't stop in again while I'm here.

It's Burger King, you're not going to be surprised going in.

3 stars because they really are fast food at this location.  It's an madhouse at lunchtime and yet I don't think I've waited more than 5 minutes.  Also, they have daily 2 for $4-$5 sandwich specials which provides a dirt cheap lunch option not common in the FiDi.

We got off the subway at Rector in order to go take a walk up towards Ground Zero.  We hadn't really planned on the visit, and hadn't researched it, so we got there to find it somewhat hard to observe.  Seeing a two-story Burger King down the street that was able to see over the wall, we decided to stop for refreshments.

There's one table with two(?) windows on the upper level where you can actually get a good view of the outside Ground Zero area.  This appeared to be a popular photo-op, as we saw a few tourists and one guy hauling professional grade photography equipment come up in search of a view.

Unfortunately, being on the upper level, it seems like it is too inconvenient for the staff to come on up and wipe down tables, clean up, etc.  The staff at the counter was a bit surly, and I was completely unimpressed by the visit.  The only thing that I can say this location has going for it is the overlook of Ground Zero, and that's marginal at best.

When I ordered my food, I noticed that the staff especially the manager in charge for the night, were very rude to customers. They were quick to be negative, they were not friendly, they didn't smile, they acted as if they hated their job and the patrons. As a fan of Burger King and a customer that night, I was chocked and had bad taste. After I was done with my food after 30 minutes, I still noticed the horror of the staff to other customers.
So I wen to the front register and asked the manager in charge for 'customer service' number. Instead of asking if everything was fine or trying to help me out, she lynched out at me. Refused to give me the number, yelled at me, and treated to kick me out. She kept on for about 5 minutes, when all I asked was for a phone number. She knew she was at wrong that's why she was defensive and had he ego on. Three other female staff members joined her in the argument.
I never seen such staff in my life. I am very much dissatisfied with Burger King employees. I called about that event on the following Wednesday and the male manager, was rude over the phone when I asked for his name, so I just gave up.....

Horrible customer service! We were walking by and decided we needed a quick bite to eat as well as a bathroom break. As we entered the restaurant, we decided that the bathroom break was in order first and we would then order our food. As we headed towards the stairs leading to the restrooms we heard, at a volume that everyone in the restaurant could hear, "the bathroom is for customers only!" It had to be the worst treatment I've ever received based on an assumption. We proceeded to tell her that we were going to use the restroom, then order our food. The lady then mumbled something about "that's a bunch of BS" and then told us you order first or you don't get to use the restroom. Now, I could understand if we looked liked some homeless derelicts and there was concern about our ability to make a purchase. However, we looked every bit the part of the normal, everyday customers and expected better treatment than what we received. The lady claimed to be the manager and I hope for the owner's sake that this is not the case. Again, I have never been made to feel like such pond scum for wanting to use a restroom before ordering food at any restaurant. We ended up leaving and not ordering food because we were not going to give our business to people that allow that kind of behavior. Avoid this location!!!
