    I didn't eat lunch and by 2:30 I was starving. There are only three places nearby where I can get a snack during my ten minute break: the cafe downstairs; the vending machines in the breakroom; and Burger King across the street.

    I wandered over to Burger King. I had three bucks in my wallet, so I ordered a small drink and a rodeo cheeseburger. The manager took my order. He gave me my receipt, but no cup for the soda. I asked the guy, "Could I please have a cup for my drink?" He handed me one of the tiny, clear cups they give to people who want water. "Uh, that's the size for a small soda?" I asked politely.

    "LET ME SEE YOUR RECEIPT!" The guy snapped at me. Seriously, he just about took my head off. Wah? Yelling at me like I'm some kind of f-ing teenager? I don't think so. I showed him my receipt and said, "Dude, you just took my order a minute ago." He then proceeded to practically throw the cup at me.

    Really? Really? I couldn't imagine what I had done to make Mr. Burger King Manager act so abusively toward me. Seriously, I go out of my way to be nice to everybody. Perhaps his toupee was glued on too tight. Maybe the guy was having a bad day, but I can't imagine what would make him think I was the appropriate person to take it out on. I'm not an exceptionally violent man...well, actually, I am an exceptionally violent man, but that's another story. The dude should go home and kick his dog or something because he was quite lucky I didn't...well, I won't go into specifics here.

    Anyway, while I waited for my burger, I kept the stinkeye on the jerky manager. I was shaking, I was so pissed off. Needless to say, I'll never step foot in that place again.

    There! How's that for you, Mr. Burger King Manager? First to review you with a ONE STAR! I wish I could give you negative stars. Maybe you shouldn't be rude to your customers.

    I've been to this Burger King too many times over the past five years and this is one of the worst Burger Kings I've gone to.

    The food is simply not very good. I love Burger King, but the Cinni Minis are always dry and the fries are often crappy. I'm convinced they pre-make everything instead of making it when you order as they should.

    I've also experienced more mistakes with custom orders at this Burger King than at any other Burger King. When I brought back a burger that they made a mistake on, they simply put it back on the shelf for someone else. I do find they are reasonably fast with the orders though.

    My office is very close to this Burger King, but the food is so awful that I will drive all the way to the Van Nuys one if I want something.

    This is without a doubt one of the most dishonest Burger King restaurants.  My son was hungry, so we hit their drive-thru and made a simple order to take care of everyone in the car: a hamburger, a cheeseburger, two spicy chicken sandwiches and a large fries.   We got up to the window, were charged for the items we'd ordered, handed our bag -- with no receipt -- and went on our way.  We opened the bag after we drove off to find we'd been given only a hamburger a cheeseburger and one spicy chicken sandwich.  We drove the rest of the way home without the rest of our food, and with my son complaining about no french fries (and me about no sandwich for me!).  I should add that we do not live in Encino.  It's at least 20 minutes away.

    When we got home, I called the store and asked to speak to the store manager so that I could register a complaint. The young lady who answered the phone (after 15 rings) said that she WAS the manager, listened to my complaint, and told me to drive all the way back to Encino  and she could give me the other items.   I had no interest in spending 4 dollars in gas and 40 minutes drive time (round trip)  to correct their mistake.   I suggested that she - as other fast food places do when they make a mistake - mail me a coupon for the missing items, or send me a refund in the mail.  She said that they do not issue coupons or refunds for mistakes.  I told her I would call BK corporate offices AND the Better Business Bureau, and she wouldn't budge.   We went back and forth for about 10 minutes, after which she said that she could "take down your number and have the store manager call you tomorrow."  REMINDER: she identified herself as the store manager when she answered the call.   I pointed out that she had lied to me when she identified herself as the store manager (I had specifically stated that I only wanted to speak to the store manager), and she claimed that no, she was the store manager, but that her boss was the store manager.  (Does anyone else see the problem with that statement?)

    When I tried to find either a toll-free complaint/customer service number for Burger King, I discovered that there isn't one.   Their website does not provide a toll-free number nor do they have a feedback feature or an email address.   Basically, Burger King lets their stores - like the one in Encino - to overcharge customers, shortchange them on their order, or to lie to them but doesn't want their customers to be permitted to file a legitimate complaint or to get restitution/reimbursement for BK's mistakes....

    DO NOT SPEND *ANY* MONEY AT THIS LOCATION IN PARTICULAR!
