Regular readers of this rag may recall that I am a slut for Burger King, including their fried chicken sandwich. BUT - it's been many, many years since I'd had one fresh, hot, and delicious. Usually they get screwed up, the patties have been sitting around for a while, or the cheese is not melted, or something.
I found BK Chicken Sandwich nirvana in Beloit, WI. After gassing up the car, it was time to gas up me. I stopped in, ordered the Chicken Sandwich, adding onions to it (the American comes with tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, and cheese). I got the sandwich as a stand alone - no combo, and a small Diet Coke.
The sandwich was all I could desire. Hot, crispy chicken. Flavorful. With just the right amount of mayo. Cheese lightly melted. Crisp onions and iceberg lettuce. Firm tomatoes. Diet Coke was icy and refreshing - as they usually are.
Best BK Chicken Sandwich since the 1980s! -

We have been there on several occasions on friday night between 5-7 pm. Every time there has only been two workers. Service was very slow. By the time we got our food, some was cold, the meat was not freshly made. Fries were hot and fresh 50 percent of the time.
The place was a bit dirty. Wall paper peeling off the wall. Grease on the floor in the kitchen that could be seen from the front. They had no dr. Pepper on 1 occasion.
Overall, slow and run down!
