Review from AMY D.
When was the last time you have seen an RC Cola? Well that is one of the four soda options at The Burger Bar. If you don't request a small cup (who wants that?) drinks are served in humongous Styrofoam cups and have free refills.
The Burger Bar appears to be a popular local hole in the wall, we were lucky to find the one open booth. The wait for our burgers was long but was worth it, not for the quality of the burger but the opportunity to eavesdrop on the entertaining locals joking amongst themselves. The burgers are a decent size and OK, but liked my side of tater tots. -

like everything else in the hill country restaurants, big portions but tasteless, greasy food. i don't know how the locals can eat it every day. stay away from anything fried (if it's even possible) because it all tastes like stale oil. who knows how many years its been since they've had fresh oil in the fryer...

This place has a huge menu and a huge following. I have eaten nothing here but the cheeseburgers- and I love them. There is always a pretty long wait to get my burger because there is always a line and they don't cook until you order. Well worth the wait. I drive through town about once a month, and I would much rather grab a burger to go here than anywhere else in town. They make lots of other items, plate lunches, etc, but I will never know because I crave the burger.
