These were some of the best burgers I have had in a while. We ordered the Kobe Burger and it was nice and tender, juicy, and beefy. The bun was just right, not too soft or too hard and didn't take away from the taste of the burger at all. It is a bit more on the expensive side as burgers go, but I'd pay that much again to eat one (actually going to go try the new one that opened up in San Francisco Macy's).
The ambiance is a classic kind of mix between sports beer bar and steak house. Rich dark colors pervade the establishment. The server was really nice and attentive.
It's found in The Mandalay Bay Mall area. We stayed in the Mandalay, so we received a coupon book and it had the Burger Bar in it. Not sure now, but I hope so!

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU GO HERE!!!!
The food is just forgettable. Trust me, it's not all that at all. I went here because it was owned by one of the Top Chef Masters and I had to give it a try.
Rating from 1-10 ( 1=poor 10=very food)
Quality- 5 out of 10

Burger + bar = happy camper in my book!
Where do you start with a place like Burger Bar? Hmmm, maybe at the 5 beer float sampler paddle? That's five different beers with a scoop of ice cream or sherbet that pairs perfectly with the beer floating in it. Or maybe you start with the giant list of items you can have added to your plate to go along with your burger.
Burger Bar is must for anyone going to Vegas! Get off the strip and head in to the shops of Mandalay Bay and find a seat at Burger Bar. Enjoy!

I love this place! Yes, it's pricey, but if you want to complain, go to Mickey Ds, ok? What I will tell you is that you don't need to upgrade to the Kobe beef, go with the Angus beef and you'll get a great burger.
They have composed burger offerings and they have the any way you want it option, which is the way I roll at The Burger Bar. Great fries, the pass the Mickey D's test. Don't be shy about calling an audible and going to the onion rings, they are tasty! The selection of beers is fantastic. The staff is awesome, they will take good care of you while you're there.
Just go there and I promise you'll have a great burger.
This place was fantastic. 5 minute wait, not too crowded and was able to watch the Yankee's make it to the world series.
I'm going to get my 1 gripe out of the way, the service was very slow. I'm not sure if it was the lack of staff or what we ordered but it was a 20 minute gap between getting our milkshakes to getting our burgers. However me and my girlfriend didn't mind the wait cuz our feet were hurting anyway.
Now about the food. The Milkshakes were some of the best ive ever had in a while. I had the French Vanilla (alcoholic) which had Kahlua and a few other sweet things that tasted amazing. Thick and rich without being TOO sweet. My girlfriend got the Nutella chocolate milkshake which was good but not as good as the vanilla. The chocolate was great but a tad overpowering.
The burgers were obviously the highlight of the visit. Me and my girlfriend each ordered the Kobe beef burgers with our own favorites on top. The chef and waitresses got our orders exactly right and were very helpful in helping explain how everything worked. The meat was tender and the chipotle mayo sauce was great giving the burger enough of a kick to not make it too spicy.
The onion rings were good but nothing special, however the sweet potato fries were delicious. Go here with a hearty appetite.

Little brother and I had dinner at Hubert Keller's Burger Bar at the Mandalay Bay Resort last night. We both had the Buffalo Burger with bleu cheese (you can get a Chef's burger or "build your own"). I had a toasted sesame seed bun and my brother had the toasted plain bun. I have to say that it was a REALLY tasty burger. The other ingredients (lettuce, red onion, and tomato) were unremarkable but let the meat stand out. The Skinny fries were unremarkable but I did find myself nibbling at my brother's sweet potato fries which I actually liked better than the Skinny fries (and I don't normally prefer sweet potato fries).
We were seated immediately (didn't like our table and were shown to a booth without hesitation by the hostess) and our server appeared right away to take our drink orders (lots of beer to choose from). Drinks arrived quickly and our orders were taken efficiently and all of our menu questions were answered cheerfully with enough detail for us to decide. The servers all around seemed like they like to work there; she checked on us peridocially but didn't seem intrusive.
The place had the up-beat vibe of a sports bar (screens all over the place including a small flat-panel in our booth) and the buzz that comes with a lot of tourists--it's Vegas, after all--oh, and there were a couple of crying kids but we were too into our food so they were drowned out plus it's so big, asking to be moved should not be a problem.
I would like to go back, or maybe hit the Burger Bar in my hometown, to try the Rossini burger: for $60.00 you get Kobe beef, sautéed foie gras, shaved truffles, Madeira sauce, on onion bun.

Holy guacamole...this place was everything and more when it comes to burgers. On our last day in vegas, a few hours before we had to leave for the airport we decided we would give this place a try. After losing every penny we had available I was a little hesisitant because of the price but I said whats another $20 burger at this point and ordered the kobe beef burger with mushrooms, grilled onions, swiss and cheddar. This was by far the best burger I have ever had....ever...ever...no exaggerations. My husband and I crave this place. I just read a review saying there is one here in San Francisco Macys...its like my prayers have been answered. We will be going there tomorrow!!! Id go right now if it wasnt the middle of the night! Go...run...get a kobe beef burger..it was worth the money!
Always have loved this place but now love it more after seeing Hubert Keller on Top Chef Masters. 8-) 4.5 stars Note to SF folk: they just opened one in Macy's Union Square--yeay!
Cost to worth it rating: 3 (burgers start ~$10, specialty burgers are more)
Return worthiness: yes (I go at least once each Vegas trip)
Highlights:
- Peppercorn burger: yummy rich sauce from Fluer de Lys recipe served on the side so you can pour to your liking. I added blue cheese crumbles to take it over the top. As a pepper fiend, I actually could've used a bit more pepper on the actual burger. :-o
- Ranchers meat (or something like that): as the second level up, it's definitely worth the $1 upgrade. The hub got the standard and I could tell the difference in pure meat flavor as well and juiciness.
- Seasoned bacon: peppered and jalapeño are options
- Jalapeño fried pickles: couldn't taste the spice so much but they were great and like that they were spears
- Make your own: array of toppings including regular things like a selection of cheese to not so mainstream like fried egg and pickled beets
- Open late: weekends til 2am
- Sweet potato fries: thin, crispy
- Veev acai spirit lemonade: not too sweet, interesting dynamic with antioxidants in an alcoholic beverage--wonder if they cancel each other out ;-)
- Personal tv in booths: great for sports days
- Milkshakes: come all sundae style pretty with the hugest straws ever, also come in alcoholic versions which is great for sin city
Lowlights:
- TV options: wish could switch channel and they had the direct ticket
Love this place and remains my casual Vegas staple so I'll be back.

This place never disappoints. I am here every chance I get to go to Sin City. The burgers are done in a sophisticated way, where an actual chef works on them. You cannot go wrong with the black jack burger or the pepper corn burger. I've been here quite a few times and I have yet to have a bad eating experience here.
Black Angus Beef / cheddar / sweet potato fries
I'm a fan of a burger matching the size of the accompanying bun. At the burger bar the bun was noticeable larger than the piece of meat to the point that I had to tear off the bread before the first bite. The burger had a nice char taste to it and had a good thickness at about 3/4 of an inch. I just wish it was larger in diameter.
The sweet potato fries were very delicious. They had a nice sweetness to them and did not require and seasoning nor condiments.
The burger bar has an impressive selection of draft beers with an optional beer flight of 6oz selections.
The service was the biggest disappointment to me. We started with a wait of 15min which I find to be no problem. Once seated it took about 10 minutes to get our drink order and another 35 minutes before we had our meal. Our waitress was inattentive to drinks and checking up on how our meal was.
Overall the food was good but I think I will try another burger place the next time I go to Vegas.

Earlier in the evening, last Friday, I visited Hubert Keller's other place, Fleur de Lys. So after experiencing amazing service and food, we dropped in his casual Burger Bar for a snack.
Well, I wish I had never had gone.***
They have a funny system where you basically pick your choice of meat, an array of toppings, various buns, etc. I decided I didn't have enough brain power to do all that so I ordered the sliders. Everything initially tasted good but as the food cooled and our appetites were satiated, everything started tasting a bit off. I ended up not eating the buns for the sliders and stopped eating the fries. Even the wonderfully fried onion rings were weird.
They did have some burgers that you didn't have to do a thing but order like the foie gras burger ($60) but after explaining to my group what foie gras was, they all decided it was disgusting so I didn't get to order it.
But still, nothing was horrible. It just didn't seem to be worth the price (except for maybe my $15 22 oz Doc's Draft Pear Cider). However, one in our party really didn't like her food so the manager ended up taking 10% off our entire bill. That was very kind of them.
Late night you see a lot of drunks walking to and fro. This seems more like a frat/ sports bar anything with the crowd seemingly made up of 80% guys. I did witness a waitress help a girl in an extremely short skirt to the restroom. She later stumbled back to her table with her skirt hitched almost up to her crotch. Oh wow. Note to drunk girls, Burger Bar is not dark enough to hide bare thighs.
*** We only went because we meant to grab late night happy hour next door but they just closed at 11 p.m.

I haven't Yelped in a while, so I'm picking one of my 27 unfinished reviews at random.
And here I am! Note to Yelp...let me review from my iPhone.
I'll have to say this was all kinds of awesome. I love places that give me so much choice and freedom to create something exactly how I like it. It can get a bit pricey...especially if you order up the truffles, but it's well worth experiencing at least once if you're in Vegas!

This was my 2nd visit and I have to give it 3 stars because my turkey burger was tasteless and dry. My husband ordered the ranch beef burger and his was moist and delicious. The sweet potato fries were wonderful! We went on a Friday night. The wait wasn't that long and the waitress was very attentive. The atmosphere is a little loud for my taste, but it is a bar after all.
Fantastic burger in such a small place.
The cheese could have been thicker, but the meat was nicely cooked. The skinny fries were tasty and I appreciated the SEA SALT!!! I wish other restaurants would catch onto this simple concept and how it makes food taste much better than iodized.
Big plus for having Franziskaner Dunkel-Weiss on tap! What a great beer.

Burgerrific! Burgtastic!
This is the best burger I have ever had, and trust me, I've eaten alot of burgers. Took a friend who is on the hunt for a good burger (he has high standards) and this passed with flying colors, Whew!
The burgers are reasonably priced and a nice size and you can either order a burger off the menu or customize your own with various meats, toppins and rolls. Sides were great, the sweet potato fries tasted like sweet potatoes and had no added cinammon sugar (big big plus!) French fries had decent potato flavor were hot and crisp. We got a really nice waitress, who towards the end of our meal was extremely busy, but never forgot us.
Shakes were good, we got them as dessert, but ultimately I don't think they were worth the $8 price tag.
2 Hosti (that is the plural of hostess, right?) were less than friendly, way over estimated our wait time, told us 45 mins, but come back after 20 to get your buzzer, went and got the buzzer, stepped away, and less than 2 minutes later, it goes off! She couldn't have just told us to hang on and forgo the buzzer? For this reason, the place doesn't get 5 stars.
Will definitely go back.

If you like foie gras, even fantasize about getting double foie-gras'd... if you like your buffalo tender and rare from Wyoming or your Kobe beef glistening in meaty juicy-ness... if you like black truffles that drift and float in a savory, shimmery madiera sauce, smothering your ciabatta bun and oozing out of every orifice of your burger... if you like licking every drop of lusciousness that makes it's way to your hand and down your arm... ....
You will love the burgers at Burger Bar.
I am a lover and it satisfies me like no other.

This place has a great atmosphere and the service is good. The burgers are really good and if there is a wait it is worth it. My favorite burgers are the veggie burgers. I also like the vanilla cokes. I really like to go here before concerts
We had a very good experience here. The burgers really are great. I would advise trying to be a little adventurous with your selection, though, as getting a baconcheeseburger kind of defeats the point. I had ta buffalo burger that was really delicious.
The beer list is impressive as well.
The place is a bit pricey. It's worth it, but I'm not sure I can go for 5 stars as I pretty much expect this kind of quality if my burger is going to cost 22 dollars.
I went here on my last trip to Las Vegas during my stay at the Mandalay Bay. It was suggested by some friends, so I decided to see what all the hype was about.
I must say that being a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of tofu and veggie burgers as well as the taste. The service was also very good! I would recommend this place for anyone wanting a good burger in Vegas!!!!
Every time I go to Las Vegas I have to go to Burger Bar. It must be done. Normally, I would have found a place like Burger Bar through Yelp, but Yelp can't take credit for this one, Giada can, from her Weekend Getaways Las Vegas. I always get the veggie burger(veg head here) with fried egg, tomato, and red onion on an onion roll. It is the BEST BURGER. And I pick a milkshake to go with it. There's something about a milkshake and a burger together.
Helpful hint- there's always a wait here, but you can avoid the wait and sit at the bar top(best seat in the house) right away. If the bar top looks full from the host stand walk through the restaurant, there's a second bar top in the back, don't be shy. I can't say enough good things about Burger Bar. GO THERE.

I ate Hubert Keller, ya'll!!
Ok, maybe not the man himself, but I did order the Hubert Keller burger (buffalo, spinach, carmelized onions, and bleu cheese). So good, I had to finish the entire thing.
The fries accompanying my burger was oh so delicious.
If you need more grease to cure your hangover, be sure to order the zucchini fries (the best I've ever had!)

We were in Vegas for the Britney Spears 'Circus' tour at Mandalay Bay!
We were walking around the casino and shops and started to get hungry. We noticed this place called the 'Burger Bar' and decided to check it out.
It was a really cool bar set up located along the shop row at Manadalay Bay!
The service was just okay! I have had better!
But the burgers really were good! I wasn't completely impressed and blown away but they were still good! Bullshead and Joe's cable car have way better fresh and homemade burgers than the 'Burger Bar' in Vegas! However, the sweet potatoe fries were amazing and I would return just for those!
Now that they are opening anohter location in my hometown of San Francisco, I will be checking out those burgers!
At the time I didn't really think my burger (buffalo, with grilled peppers, zucchini, and mushrooms) was worth the $20 it cost, but I did find myself dreaming about it later that night. It's not often that I dream about food, so I figure this alone warrants a 4* rating.
(One thing, though: I don't understand why, if buffalo is supposed to be as ultra-lean as it's advertised to be on the menu, my burger appeared to be oozing a fair bit of grease...)
Pros:
They made my burger rare as ordered
?
?
?
Cons:
- The front desk hostess need a serious reality check first, and then be fired
- It took about 40 minutes to get our food - I never realized that cooking a Burger included killing the cow, etc.
- I ordered a Kobe burger - you know the meat supposed to melt in your mouth? - no such luck. My grounded, rare meat was actually tough (and unsalted)
- They mixed up the order and delivered the wrong plate to my boyfriend. By the time they were done looking for his burger on other random tables, I had finished mine
- $$$
OK, done venting. High level summary: won't go back.

Pro: Friendly bar service, late hours, good location. Kobe burgers.
Con: Small dining bubble - get close to your fellow patrons.
Came to this place for a quick bite to eat around CES, didn't want to hit the buffets late so we googled this place up. Man, did this place lived up to the ratings.
Burgers were deliciously fresh, it is hand packed and served with fresh buns. We never had to ask for refills, napkins, and fries. Sure, the place was a bit noisy, but it is a bar to start with.
Come check this place out when around southern strip and don't want to drive around for good burgers.

We made it a point to go to Mandalay specifically for Burger Bar since the reviews are so spectacular.
The food was fantastic, the service was fantastic, and it was the only place in Mandalay packed at 12 in the afternoon. That speaks for itself. My only gripe is that they didn't have any beer or drink specials. That's pretty lame. I thought it would be more chic for some reason. Other than that, Burger Bar met the expectation. I'll be hitting them up EVERY TRIP!

BEST BURGER I HAVE EVER HAD.
BEST.
THE ONLY BURGER I SPENT MORE THAN $30 ON.
THE VERY FIRST BURGER I ORDERED WITH FROIE GRAS
TASTIEST BURGER I HAVE EXPERIENCED.
The sweet potato fries are pretty damn good, too.
I hope all these CAP'd words caught your attention. I'm not lying about the 'best' description, though.. it really is the best burger i have had.
Our first meal in Vegas, my sister, mom and i made a mad dash of tummy rumbling hunger to the Mandalay after we checked into our hotel. My hands were practically shaking at the thought of yummy sweet potato fries *adores*
What I Thought: So not pretentious! With a chef as famous as Hubert Keller, you'd think the place as a stench of snobbery to it, but it doesn't all. Very casual, elbows on the table can we get you meat and beer type joint. The servers were too slow for my taste and didn't check in on us but one time. it would've gotten 5 stars had it not been for that
Who I Dragged Along: Ros and our Mommy (yea, i still say Mommy)
Atmosphere: Clean, modern, dark wood, dimly lit with TVs at the booths with some sort of football game on.
Price: Our bill including tip came out to be $55 or so
What We Ate: My mommy is a semi-vegetarian and she said their veggie burger was seriously the best thing she ate during our Mother/Daughter's weekend in Vegas. Unfortunately she refused to get onion rings since she's against all things fried.
Me: turkey burger on sesame with sauteed portebello mushrooms, provolone cheese (for extra stringy cheesy goodness), bacon (pork fat ftw!!!), lettuce, tomatoes, onions with a side of sweet potato fries and chipotle aoili for dippin
Mommy: Veggie burger on Wheat with lots of hot sauce, mustard, ketchup, lettuce, tomatoes and onions.. and ate of our plats of fries
Ros: black angus burger with Cheddar, bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, onions with a side of skinny fries
Shared: chocolate burger for dessert (yummmm, dark chocolate goodness)
Parking: We walked over from MGM, but its Vegas, there's parking everywhere!
Would I Come Back: Next time I'm in Vegas.. sho nuff! I hope Hubert opens one in the Bay, that would rock sooo hardcore
Did i miss anything?: Hubert Keller is one of my ultimate Chef crushes, being a wannabe chef myself i adore his culinary point of view plus.. its damn friggin great burgers!

We were on a time crunch and wanted Burger Bar. We did the only logical thing possible with such a short time in Vegas: to-go ordered our mini burger trio and sweet potato fries.
1) The mini black Angus burger was good and fairly moist still for such a tiny burger. Sometimes something that simple is so good.
2) The classic beef burger with bacon was my least favorite as it was the driest out of all the mini burgers.
3) Top sirloin burger with carmelized onions: YUM. The best one.
All the ingredients were fresh and the burgers all came on mini ciabatta bread, which was surprisingly easy to bite into. The sweet potato fries were good, but not the best I've ever had. A good handful of the fries were overdone. Next time I will be sure to make a reservation to really experience Hubert Keller's vision on gourmet burgers.
NOTE: He's opening a Burger Bar this coming late fall on the 6th floor of Macy's in Union Square!!! YAY!
I think because this place has such a high profile and gourmet rep, my friends and I expected a sort of higher-end atmosphere. In reality, it felt more like a nice diner or cafe. We grabbed dinner here before a show and it was perfect for exactly this purpose, as opposed to making it the highlight of a night out.
That said, the burger I had (with bacon and cheddar cheese, $13) was fabulous and the service was great. Even the vegetarian at the table had options and was happy with her meal. Great lunch or casual dinner in Vegas.

Good, tasty burgers! It's a bit pricey but you get what you paid for. The server was very friendly and great help in explaining the menu. Food arrived at a timely manner. I had the American Classic. Yelpers are right to say that the fries are really good! I was tempted to get a shake but by the end of the humongous burger they served, I just didn't have any place to put it, haha. I'd definitely go back!

When we arrived it was not what I envisioned. I thought it would be more high end but it's really just a sports bar. It was filled with men yelling at TV screens. As we were seated I thought to myself... I'm here for the burgers not the ambiance. Looking over the menu I was surprised to find only 4 chef created burgers to choose from and none were appealing at the time. I ended up making my own mushroom & swiss burger with Black Angus beef -- not very exciting. The beef was really fresh but overcooked. The fries were hot and tasty but nothing special. They were just piled on a plate and didn't come with any dipping sauces.
Let's just say I wasn't impressed -- I expected more from a potential Top Chef Master...
got the American Kobe Beef burger and not the $60 Japanese Kobe Beef burger as that was too rich for my blood. but even the toned down American Kobe version didn't disappoint. the burger patty was hellla tender. it was like just effortless to bite into the burger as it just mets in your mouth. topped off the burger with some homemade dijon and monterey jack cheese. zucchini fries with ranch are legit, i'd definitely recommend those as well.
Service was a little lacking because this place was pretty packed and our wait was about 25 minutes to get in. the hostesses at the door were kinda stuck up...but whataya expect, this is Vegas ya kno. but i'm glad they just opened up a new Burger Bar branch at home in Union Square SF. being from the Bay, i'd expect the hostesses to be more down to earth and less of a bitch at the SF location
Hubert Keller is an instant hit with me, dwelling in San Francisco for only a year and a half of my life was an increscribale twist in the direction my world headed. I guess that is why I am drawn to Chef's from SF. I have been eyeing this place after seeing a piece on the travel channel. Nestled between a bunch of chic stores, art galleries and bars.
I dug it.
I was totally pleased with the menu setup 4 basic burger types with all the sides sold separately on the side- milkshake & beer lists as well were very, very detailed. :) Great touch.
The surroundings were causal but people seemed touristy and business suit types. I would see this gem as a great place to get around midnight after one too many cocktails or after a day at Moorea Beach (the adult pool)
I ordered the Buffalo burger with caramelized onions, bacon, & Swiss cheese. The zucchini fries and the skinny fries, They are a separate charge from the burger.
Tried the 5 beer sampler and a wheat hoegarden, left a little tipsy and the perfect amount of fullness. Job well done Burger Bar!
The prices hurt me a little, but the quality of the food and service really impress me. I have eaten here several times so I like to think I know what this place is about. The burger really has been the best I have ever had. The selection of toppings is extensive, but I usually stick to jalapenos and mushroom with a side of thousand island and onion rings. The only thing I haven't been impressed with is the chili, so skip that. The chocolate shake was great, but still $7+!.
Last time I went I had the beer tasting, so I got six or so unique and tasty beers for a reasonable price. The premium beer selection is very good. Also, my service has been consistently excellent.
Overall, I recommend Burger Bar.

Excellent Kobe burger. Be prepared to spend $20 for a burger once you load your cheese, mushrooms and bacon! Great beer selection and friendly staff. My friend had one of the milkshakes and it looked rich and awesome. Go, you'll enjoy it.

This is the best burger I have ever had. I have had the kobe, buffalo, sirloin...all were absolutely wonderful.
It isn' t the cheapest burger, but you wouldn't expect that in a casino. But once you have the food, you'll want to keep coming back for more.
The atmosphere is loud, very bar like, hense the name. It does have a nice feel to it though, with plenty of flat screens everywhere.
The food is so juicy! They know how to cook a medium burger nicely, and all the flavor is there. The have many types of cheese, bread, and other toppings so you can customize to your taste buds.
If you haven't already decided to try it, what are you waiting for?!
Burger Bar is awesome for vegetarians. The vegetarian burger is the BEST veggie burger I've ever had in the 11 years I've been a vegetarian. Boca & Morningstar, you may call yourself a veggie burger but you're really just some soy slime with a faux funky meat taste. Gross.
The Burger Bar veggie patty is the real deal - thick, fresh, and deliciously full of vegetables. I was a little worried by the description (pumpkin puree? weird), but was so delighted by my first bite. It bursts with flavor. I would have been happy to make a meal solely from a few patties, nothing else, that's how good & satisfying this burger was. Also, the beer battered jalapeno pickles were bomb! Crunchy & fried on the outside, yummy on the inside.
There were some disappointments - the bun wasn't really all that great. The homemade dijon mustard (one of the extra costs) didn't taste as good as grey poupon off the shelf. The cheese was broiled too long on both mine & my boyfriend's burgers, so it was thin and hard instead of being thick & cheesy. Overall, the meal was awesome and I hope I can go back to try some of the desserts & milkshakes (alcoholic milkshakes! does it really get better than that?).
Where else can you find a place with a $60 burger on the menu? Ahem - I should clarify, where else can you find foie gras with drizzled truffles over a grilled kobe beef burger for less than $100? That makes it sound more reasonable, I guess.
A decent place - basically a few set chef burgers (like the one mentioned above) and the rest is "build-a-burger" similar to places like The Counter, etc. Except I've never seen $30 for 1/3oz of black truffles at the Counter.
Perhaps the most remarkable things on the menu, however, were the desserts; among numerous virgin and alcoholic milkshakes (the chocolate mint was tempting me like crazy), there were also two "dessert burgers." Both served in a warm donut bun, one had candied passion fruit to imitate cheese, chocolate ganache to imitate the patty, a mint leaf to imitate lettuce, and strawberries to imitate the tomatoes. Ann and Nelson tried that and love it, I went with the waitress' recommendation and tried the creamy cheesecake filled donut burger with caramelized pineapple and strawberries as well. Seriously amazing, best dessert I've had in a long while.
