I am drooling... ok almost... just starting to think about this place. My mind runs away with fantasies of double bocks, hefeweizens,  zucchini fries, truffle fries, marinated portabella's, pretzel rolls and cookies Sundays... Oh my!

Everything on the menu is good. They really do know how to cook a burger and serve up some fantastic beer. Try what your heart desires because you won't be disappointed...Not with price, service, timeliness, flavor, texture or satisfaction! All are top notch!

Stopped by Burger & Beer Joint for happy hour/dinner last night & left quite happy (& full). I appreciated the rock n roll theme, from the tunes (Aerosmith, Judas Priest, Stone Temple Pilots) to the clever burger names (Paradise City, Mustang Sally, Thunder Road, Turning Japanese, etc.) & enjoyed the overall atmosphere as well. Service was great too.

Happy Hour runs from 3-7, Monday-Friday and features deals on apps, beers, wines, & well cocktails (between $2.50-$5, sounds good to me) so we were lucky we stopped by for the end of that.

We sampled the fried dill pickles and zucchini fries while studying the menu. I can't think of any menu item that didn't sound delicious, but then again, I do love a well topped burger, kekeke. PB had the 'Sympathy for the Devil' (8oz certified angus beef, buffalo chili, sharp cheddar, pickled jalapeno, sour cream & habanero sauce on a sesame seed bun with skinny fries - $14) & I had a 'Mustang Sally' (8oz wagyu beef, red onion marmalade, brie, & prosciutto on brioche bun with skinny fries - $16). Our burgers were both super yummy but we had filled up on our fried apps before & had to take half of our burgers home to be enjoyed for lunch the next day!

I was very impressed. The food is delicious, the beer selection is excellent, & the service was great as well. Very reasonably priced too.

I will definitely go back again... gotta try the 'Paradise City' next time: a 10oz burger topped with cajun spiced shrimp, watercress, & tarragon remoulade on an onion bun. Yum! Axl would be so proud. Maybe. Unless he doesn't like shrimp??

Great food!  Awesome bartenders and management that pay attention to details and customers.

5 star beer selection, had a special entree of Turkey sliders, smoked Gouda cheese, and turkey bacon with the chipotle ketchup.  Please add this to the menu. Everyone in my party tried it and loved it!

Will be back again next week.

Tis place went way down hill since I was there probably over a year ago. Went in to order tuna burger at 6:45 they did not have so they made me a chicken sandwich. I think the chicken was made the week before no reheated on the grill in order to melt the cheese. I ordered chibatti bread which was about three times the size of my chicken. Also wept and mushy on the bottom from my pickle. Ordered duck fat fries and regular fries came out . This food is just way to fried for me. I will. Not be going back. The food and quality us just not the same as when they opened. Pus I remember this pace being packed and a line to get in. When we were there only anew tales were taken. And the food still managed to come out cold!

I went here because everyone is always raving about the burgers...to be honest all i got was a burger...a simple swiss cheese burger plain...and it wasnt good at all...the burger was done med well which was fine....but the meat was really dry and the burger had a hard thick piece of grease? or hardened burger on the bottom as if it was sitting? somewhere or recooked ...basically the bottom of the burger was fried soo hard that it was a solid burnt thick piece...and it had an odd odor ....maybe old grease? not sure...but i honestly think it was sitting somewhere since lunch maybe? definitely not recommend...

Burgers are good, but I think the main attractions lie with my favorites - truffle oil fries and the truffle oil Mac n Cheese - I can feel the fat running through my veins!!!
Give it a go! There's also a B&B in Mary Brickell Village. Been to both locations various times and both are good!

Great, fun atmosphere.  The place had a fun, social bar type of atmosphere; felt more like a cool bar than a restaurant.  I guess if you consider the place a bar then you would have to say it has the best burgers for a bar!  There is a private room to if you have a larger group.  In addition the restaurant (joint) connects to an actual bar next door so the fun can continue there.

Another great thing about this place is the beer selection.  I was disappointed that the international selection was a bit limited, but in the end when you have a huge beer menu as opposed to a usual restaurant that carries half a dozen or less then it seems unfair to be too disappointed.  I especially enjoyed how the food menu suggests the best beer to have with each specific beer.

Now, the burgers are delicious and the menu is terrific!  It is rare to find a place like this where you can have so many different, creative options for a burger.  And if somehow you still cannot choose a burger then there is a make your own menu in which you can choose from a plethora of toppings.  You can't go wrong!  One of my personal tests for a burger is in how difficult it is to fit in your mouth (not to be confused with other fun games with the same premise.  LOL).  My burger was so huge that I basically had to use geometry to figure out how to eat it, and I love that!  Another burger test I have is how far from your mouth the toppings hit your cheeks.  Because this burger was so large I had ketchup and other juicy goodness closer to my ears than my lips and that is another sign of a big, delicious burger.

I personally recommend the burger with the egg on it.  "nuff said.  For an appetizer try the mini corn dogs.  For a beer you can (and should) order whatever you like, and if you are not a beer connoisseur then opt for the beer they suggest on the menu that best pairs with your burger.  For dessert....ha, just kidding.  If you have room for dessert then you clearly didn't enjoy your burger and beer!

If you are in the mood for some delicious burgers than Burger & Beer Joint is the place to go. I've been lucky enough to visit Burger & Beer Joint a couple of times and have had a wonderful experience every time. First thing I would like to note about B&B is that their tables are covered in brown paper and they provide you with crayons. Just try to not draw on the table, it think it's impossible. I think this gives the whole experience of B&B a little something extra.

The mac and cheese at this place is great. I've had their regular mac and cheese and it is delicious, but nothing insanely spectacular. I recently went to B&B and they had a special for gouda mac and cheese. Let me say, it was stuff that dreams are made of. It was the best mac and cheese I have had in ages. I really wish they would make it a regular on their menu, but alas, it was a special and I don't know when they'll have it again.

My favorite burger that they offer is the Freebird. Now, I must warn you, this is a turkey burger. I am not a huge red meat eater, so I always tend to go for a fowl instead. But, I have tried their meat and it is scrumptious. I just love this burger and I always find myself wishing I would have gotten it instead of trying something new. I also love their sweet potato fries. I have an affinity for sweet potato, and if it is offered at a restaurant I usually get it. Their other fries are great too, but I just love the sweet potato fries.

Burger & Beer Joint is definitely one of the better places to get a burger on the beach. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try something a bit more gourmet than something like Shake Shack or Five Guys.

So there seems to have been a trend of burger joints popping up everywhere.  In Palm Beach County it seems like there's a 5 guys, CG Burgers, DGBurgers on every corner so since I just moved to Miami Beach I thought I'd avoid every cliche burger place.

One of the first things I saw on channel 19 (The Beach Channel) was the Best of the Beach Burger edition.  I started to drool.  I saw Burger and Beer Joint on there and they featured the mustang sally and I knew I HAD to try this place.

Once you go into the restaurant its very industrial and has a rocker feel to it.  It's kind of how I feel the Hard Rock would have looked in its beginning stages.  All the servers look alternative and there's classic rock music playing through out.  My boyfriend, roommate and I decided to go and try everything we possibly could fit into our stomachs.

The menu has basically NOTHING healthy except about 4 salads.  We started with the Corndog bucket and Onion Rings.  The corndogs were super cute mini dogs that reminded me of when I was like 5 years old.  The onion rings were COLOSSAL.  There were 4 to the plate for the sheer fact that these onion rings we disturbingly huge.  Both dishes came with a side of cheddar cheese and jalapeno sauce.  My only complaint was that there wasn't enough sauce to finish the appetizer and then they charge an absurd amount for their homemade sauces.

Now onto the burgers...I ordered the Hotel California, and my boyfriend had the Stairway to Heaven.  We all shared and were so pleasantly surprised.

The stairway to heaven is Wagyu beef with 3 oz of Foie Gras.  it comes with duck fat fries and that's it.  Not a lot to make it a $32 burger but let me just say it's so full of flavor!!!  I don't think I could ever have regular fries and be satisfied after consuming the duck fat fries.

My hotel california was next.  Imagine junky goodness all mixed into one burger and that's what this is.  It had cheddar cheese, guacamole, salsa, sour cream, and a fried egg all on top of a Prime burger.  Delicioso!!!!

All in all it this place ROCKS.  It's kind of a local hot spot and now I understand why.  I'm definitely adding this place to my favorite places list.

Being the nice girl that I am, I let my man pick where to eat while down in South Beach and of course I ended up at a burger restaurant.  Unlike him I'm not a huge burger fan, but I'm open minded.

The inside of the place is really nice but I decided to eat outside because it was so nice out that night.  The outside tables are really large picnic tables with plenty of room for large groups of people.

I should have ordered a plain cheeseburger.  I ordered a burger called a mustang sally with brie cheese and prosciutto and other stuff.  The brie cheese and prosciutto killed the burger for me.  They really were not needed.  The burger came with skinny fries and those were awesome.

Even though I don't care for burgers too much I want to return and try again since everyone loves this place so much.  Plus I think I just didn't order the right burger. Next time I want to come back and try a plain cheeseburger.  Sometimes simple is better.

Being a burger lover, I'm always checking out burger lists and burger recommendations (and B&B is often that recommendation).

I expected BIG things from B&B... and they delivered on that expectation.

It was a bit late but the burger craving kicked in and we just happened to be in the South Beach area.  Apparently we weren't the only ones with the late night craving as we bumped into fellow yelpers Travis & Victoria.  Turn the corner and there is that tattoo-like B&B logo... we've arrived.

B&B has tables outside along the road if you want to catch some fresh air plus the inside is rather sharp too (exposed brick walls and columns, classic chairs, bar and tables, just a good vibe).  Great selection of burgers, beers, appetizers and best of all adult shakes.  As good as the shakes sounded I didn't have one but the names were amusing enough (one minute man, money shot, spank the monkey and the rusty trombone).

We had the Thunder Road (10 oz angus beef with bacon, bbq sauce, american cheese on a sesame bun): holy moly that was a damn good burger.  Comes with skinny fries (not for me) and the only substitute with no additional charge was sweet potato fries (sounded good but they were thick wedges; just okay).

We also had a Mustang Sally (8 oz wagyu beef with red onion marmalade, brie cheese, prosciutto on a brioche bun):  sounded kinda odd but it was surprisingly good.  Came with skinny fries (didn't like these either).

My only disappointment had to do with the fries (didn't like the skinnies and the sweet potato were way too thick).  I really wanted onion rings but they wanted to add a fee (they really shouldn't charge to swap to onion rings).

Overall, loved the burgers and look forward to trying some of the other custom burgers or hitting them up for "Pimp My Burger Tuesday" ($10 choose your burger cheese sauce bun and 3 toppings... great deal).

I was recommended to come here by my girl Amber/joi and she insisted that we come "you will be blown away it's just awesome" and I'm like okay kool I trust you so we went on our way.

We had just left an Yelp event at CHALK  so we was already full of spirits so drinks wasn't on our mind we wanted some beef!!!
We find the spot and we sit at the bar and the bartender was a talker I mean this.dude didn't shut his damn mouth, but he did break down the whole menu which was kool and he suggested the Thunder Road. So we went with it the food came out and the burger was bigger than I expected. I couldn't even bite it.
So lets talk flavor it was good but the burger was  too hard, the bun too hard, the onion rings no taste at all so im not impressed.
Fast forward to lunch at work the next day I warm up my burger and it was better than the night before!! I will give them as another chance soon.

    Ok Joi heres my review.

Joi aka Amber told me and Travis to try out this spot after the Chalk Elite event. We have heard so much about it and bookmarked it and finally got to go.

My crappy gps again almost got us lost be we found our way. Its a little in the cut but its in a cute spot. Nice outside seating though to fit a group or a couple. You enter and its a nice atmosphere a little dark but nice. As we wait to  be seated who's in front of us some friendly yelpers glenn g and his wife.

Travis and I sat at the bar to finish watching the game. The bartender greated us promptly and nicely he was great. He had funny conversation and even helped us pick our meal (being our first time and all).

We both got waters because we had enough to drink at the event. He recommended the Thunder Road burger which we both got to try. I gave him my bacon im a picky eater. While he got the gargantuan onion rings I got the recommended duck fat fries. Everything was very tasty and well seasoned my only problem was the fries were hard so was the bread and meat( because we like well done). There is nothing worst then eating hard ass food when it shouldn't be.

To me the best is Shake Shack hands down then five guys. Don't get me wrong it was good and tasty I might be back, but like I said it was hard, a little much for just a burger and way to big for me (and I'm an EATER).

Overall good experience, nice place friendly people/service and we got to write our name on the bricks cool huh?

I have been here twice now so it time to review. First off the burgers are HUGE. Come starving and be prepared to still take home something. The salads are really good and you can get any of their meats on it. Husband raves about the chopped salad with a kobe burger on it. I have had the cobb which was yummy.

For sides I recommend the fried green beans. The truffle aioli they come with is off the chain and I have to restrain myself from licking the container. The mac and cheese which is ok. It is really too buttery and not creamy enough for me but it also got voted one of the best mac & cheese dishes in Miami by New Times so I know there are people out there who love it.

Overall if you are looking for an amazing burger place in SoBe this is it.

    I'd like to thank B&B.

Thank them for making me never want to eat macaroni and cheese or french fries ever again. (I guess mainly my waist thanks them.) I literally hated myself after the last time I "ate" here. I use quotes because it felt more like I was a mindless zombie shoving spoonfuls of brains into her mouth. Hot, creamy, cheesy, brains. With breadcrumbs on top. I also groaned about the fact that I was not allowed to order a side of fries without a custom burger and had to order a big, metal bucket of them for twice the cost.

Yes, they have a vegetarian portobello burger the size of a chihuahua, which I've ordered before, but it's always a waste of money for me because I can't possibly eat it all. And forget a to-go box. That burger is like an ex-boyfriend; once I'm done I don't ever want to see it again.

If you're a food zombie that likes big, fat burgers and fried anything, then this is your spot. If you don't want to feel like you're being punished in Hell for gluttony during and after your meal, go somewhere else.

Finally a restaurant themed around my two favorite entree's, The Burger and Beer Joint was sure to be a hit with the FatCats crew. After spending a long day in sunny Miami Beach we had collectively developed a level of hunger  that only Jabba the Hutt could fathom so we decided that this place was a must.

This place is pretty cool... i'm really digging the old school biker look they have inside here  (we decided to eat outside because the weather was nice) the place actually looks like its run by a bunch of  tattoo covered, californian west coast motorcycle builders. I would of taken some pictures of them but i was too afraid  of getting beaten with a rusty wrench. Check out how cool their menu looks.

To our amazement they had quite a diversified menu, with specialty items such as Pork Belly strips dipped in maple syrup, fried pickle chips, fried mushroom strips and one of the best tasting mac and cheese plates I've had in a long time.

    Amazing Mac Daddy Cheese Gratin

The Pudge really likes his fried pickles

There was definitely some good grub on the table.

He can't wait to dig in!

Now on to the Pièce de résistance and single handedly the sexiest item on the table.. A custom  FatCats made burger officially dubbed The Fatty McGee.
Notice my IPhone placed next to it for size comparison.
This bad beluga is 1lb of Kobe Beef on ciabatta bread topped with horseradish cheddar and jalapeno jack cheeses, roasted garlic bud, slathered in spicy garlic mayo (which I highly recommend), sliced dill pickles and guacamole, with prosciutto, hickory smoked bacon and truffle demi in between. I paired her off with an order of Duck Fat Fries which made this meal GLOOOOOOOOOOOORIUS!

That was one monstrous burger, here's an animation of me struggling to finish The Fatty McGee (but you best be damned sure that I did because that sucker was amazing!)
Executive chef Carlos Barillas deserves a Pulitzer Prize or at least a foot rub for coming up with such an amazing menu with several unique creations as pictured below.

Picture borrowed from The Burger and Beer Joint website

Even in the late afternoon on a Sunday they were pretty much at full capacity. That did not affect the service as our waiter was very prompt and friendly with plenty of menu suggestions for first timers (I love that!)

We also found out from our waiter that The Burger and Beer Joint is home of the MotherBurger a 10lb burger "the size of a manhole cover." Unfortunately our group was comprised mostly of females who were intimidated by the idea of eating 10 pounds of beef. So we're going to have to come back to do a write up of that monster.

The Pudge is looking so forward to our return that it's just plain CREEPY.
Overall we really enjoyed our experience and unanimously recommend that you go make a visit to The Burger and Beer Joint which in turn gets the FatCatsFunTimes Happy Belly Seal of Approval!

This place is 1 block from where I live and has become the starting place or ending place for a group of us on a lot of Miami nights. Always good burgers. Love "Sympathy for the Devil" burger when I'm really hungry but tend to just build my own out of all my favorite toppings.  Skinny fries are addicting. Green bean fries are great for sharing but I tried to eat a bucket of them myself one night and that was a mistake. $2 sliders after midnight have become a late night staple.

Favorite bartender left a few months ago and the place seems to have lost a little of it's vibe overall this season compared to last year but you can count on finding me in there at least once every week or two. Always dependably good.  Note: expect your burger to be slightly less done than whatever you ask for... my general rule and it's worked for me. Packed house during Heat games.

Miami has fierce competion when it comes to gourmet burgers and this is a great place to enjoy one of them!
I had the freebird, a turkey burger and my husband the sympathy for the devil.
I did not enjoy the turkey too much but the rest of the burger and the onion rings were very very good. next time I will have to enjoy it with beef and I might be able to give it 5 stars.

My go to hamburger and beer joint when in Miami. Hamburgers are massive and you can customize to your liking. I like to add on a skewer of shrimp. The o's are also massive. Great beer selection to go along with the burgers. For the smokers there is a bar attached where you can smoke and order the same menu. Good spot if you are staying on Miami Beach and want to get away from the tourists.

I can't express how much I looooove this place. They have the most amazing burgers. My favorites are the Hotel California burger & the Mustang Sally. The flavors are amazing. Just thinking about them makes my mouth water. The beer selection is great too. They have so many to choose from. If you go, try the white truffle oil fries. I think it's $2.50 extra for the oil, but it's completely worth it. If there isn't a burger that appeals to you on the menu, you can build your own. I gave this place 4 stars because the service isn't the greatest. Some of the employees can be unprofessional, but other than that it's a great place to go for a good burger and an ice cold imported beer.

Delicious, juicy burgers and a very creative selection. The trick to eating here is to split your orders with your dining partners because the portions are ridiculously huge. You'll save money and your waistline, lol!

I also like the retro vibe. The servers look like they walked out of a 50's diner. Very cool.

The only disappointment was the wedge salad. Call me traditional, but I like an old fashioned wedge prepared properly. What the B&B joint serves as a "wedge" consists of shredded lettuce, some mysetery items and waaaay tooo much cheese! It's one big plate of mush!

After 333 reviews I didn't think I really had anything to add to the discussion, but  today I read that Burger & Beer Joint won both the judges and People's Choice awards at the 3rd Annual Burgie Awards for Best Burger in South Florida!  They also won for best onion rings.

I had the Thunder Road burger, which is a 10 oz. prime angus beef, hickory smoked bacon, american cheese, sesame bun, bourbon BBQ sauce served with skinny fries and housemade pickled cucumber relish.

The BBQ sauce was served on the side (thank you  B&BJ), and I first tried the burger, ordered medium-rare, without it.  That made it basically a bacon cheeseburger, and it was outstanding!  I don't know who sources their "prime angus beef," but it was awesomely beefy, and cooked perfectly.  The smoky-sweet bacon was also cooked perfectly - slightly chewy, not cracker-crumbly or greasy-rubbery, as so often can be the case.  My dining companion ordered her burger done medium, and we compared our burgers after cutting them in half, and sure enough, hers was cooked to one notch more done - perfect.

This may have been the best burger I've ever had.  It at least ranks with the top two or three.  Highly recommended!

We got a bucket of the mini corn dogs, which were good, and the onion rings, which were excellent.  A good balance of crispy and tender, with a great jalapeno-cheese sauce for dipping.

I've read some complaints about waits, etc.  We came at noon on a Saturday, and sat outside.  The service was great.

    I'd return in a heartbeat!

Probably 2nd best reasonable burger available in s Florida. Mustang Sally is amazing if you sub turkey bacon, cheddar and add an egg.

Yes, it is possible to eat healthy here.

Didn't think I'd be back after multiple bad experiences at the MBV location and only came here at the request of a friend; however, I had a very good experience.

Service was good, food was great and the price was right.

Big fan of healthier options such as chicken and turkeyburgers.

    I'd probably return.

I found South Beach to be largely devoid of craft beer, so I was glad to have come across the Burger & Beer Joint.

It was a beautiful afternoon by the time our whole crew had assembled, so the packed patio would have been appealing, but after a longer than anticipated walk, we were happy to sit in the AC. The Burger & Beer Joint offers just what it says it does, an array of gourmet burgers and an impressive beer selection. It was getting late in the afternoon, and we were pretty hungry, so we put in an order of mini corndogs and perused the beer list. They only had a few draft options, but close to 100 bottled beers. I was on a mission to try beer I couldn't get back home, so I went straight for the local Cigar City Brewing out of Tampa, and their Jai Alai IPA. The Hebrew National mini franks in their cornmeal batter with a mustard blend dipping sauce whet our appetites for the burgers to come.

There are a number of chef-created options on the burger menu, which makes ordering easy. Like the popular Thunder Road, an Angus beef burger topped with pork belly bacon, or, if you aren't susceptible to sticker shock, the Stairway to Heaven, featuring wagyu beef topped with pan-seared foie gras and a black truffle demi glace. In the end, perhaps counter-intuitively, because I couldn't decide, I ended up building my own. Angus beef topped with smoked gouda on a bed of arugula with cilantro-cucumber on an onion roll, and a side of tempura-battered onion rings. Sticking with IPA, I also ordered a 2X IPA from Southern Tier, another east coast brewery from western New York. The burger was cooked to a juicy pink medium-rare, seasoned deftly, and the toasted onion roll was crispy enough on the face to stand up to the juices while remaining soft throughout. The peppery arugula added a nice touch, if I do say so myself, and the hefty onion rings were thick and crunchy, savory on the outside with the mildly sweet onion inside.

I was glad to have found the Burger & Beer Joint, and if you ever find yourself in South Beach looking for some good craft beer, this is your spot.

If this B+B slapped on a bikini and got into an inflatable kiddie pool filled with pudding with the Brickell B+B, Brickell would end up topless and missing some weave. Basically, the SoBe B+B kicks its sister store's ass. Service and quality of food is way better here. Plus, I got to give this location props for situating itself right by Purdy Lounge and keeping its sports bar open until 5 am.

Food-wise, the fried pickles are awesome. They take sliced pickles (the kind of cut you'd see on a burger, not sitting next to the burger), bread them, and plop them in a deep fryer, thus bestowing happiness upon the world. And if caloric-intake isn't an issue for you, the duck fat fries are pretty bad ass as well as is any of their wagyu beef burgers, if money isn't an issue for you either (wagyu can cost you like, $18). And if you're going to be all fancy-like and build your own burger with the wagyu beef it's especially good smothered in goat cheese, arugula, prosciutto, and a pineapple (created by a server named Jene and dubbed "Walking in the Spider Web"). I've also tried to tuna steak burger which is also really good if you want a healthier option. Oh, and they also have Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale on draft - yum!

Let's pretend that I was just in the mood for that buck nekkid burger, so that my group of friends from out of town don't realize that I frequently get these obscene cravings for their mushroom fries and truffle oil.

They all wanted some juicy beef burgers and I immediately insisted on B&B. Being a local, they trust I know the good spots so they obliged. My very picky, needy and demanding group of Brasilian friends and I were seated relatively quickly, since we had called in advance for our larger group. As always, I asked for Mike V., or Mikey, as he is known there (the skinny one, they also say, lol). I wanted to make sure that this group wouldn't be at all disappointed with my suggested restaurant. And I wanted to impress them by seeming like the one who knows it all here!

Apparently, I am as much a pleaser as our server was, because he patiently described everything to Portuguese only speakers and got them everything they wanted along with a crazy amount of silly requests, and he just smiled and laughed his way through it all.

One of the women in the group owns a 'Miami New Times'-like magazine in Curitiba, Brasil and is now planning on writing her own stellar review of this 'must go to' place when in Miami.

I got my mushroom fries, truffle oil, glass of red wine, and tool home a nekkid burger for my late night food fix. They all had different burgers and beers.

Writing this review makes me want to go there now!!! I may be on my way in a few minutes...lol!

Now this is what I'm talking about!!!! Grown-azz, thick thighed, junk in the trunk, big boobed burgers!!!! I have been waiting almost three years of living in this city to find something, anything that I could take me for just a minute to that Happy Food Place. So far this has been it. At first I was just thinking, "Here we go again."  But thank the Food Elves that did not happen.  The first thing I noticed was the shoe string french fries. They are called "Skinny" fires on the menu. (it has to be a Miami Beach thing cuz ain't nothing about these fries "skinny") I ordered the Thunder Road burger per the recommendation of my server. It came out the way I ordered it, Medium Well, perfectly cooked. I've never had a burger cooked perfectly in Miami before, this was a first. I came with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a pickle spear. Yet with all that going on the most amazing thing on this burger was the BACON...BACON, BACON, THICK SWEET PORK BELLY BACON. Maybe it was so good because I have not tasted real pork bacon this year. I dang near bit my tongue off chewing and smacking on that burger. lol If I was on lunch from work, washing this beauty of a burger down with an ice cold Shock Top full of oranges would have made my afternoon. But hey I had to go make the doughnuts. lol

I rushed out a few weeks ago to check out happy hour at Purdy Lounge. After finishing my first beer (get one free at happy hour) I realized I need food now or this is going to go down hill before 7pm. Got out the phone, hit up Yelp, found Burger & Beer joint around the block offering a Veggie Burger that will work very well for this very hungry vegan.

Rather than just some little burger for the Yoga ppl this thing was large, full of flavor and just what I was looking for outside of a real burger. Portabella   mushroom marinated in teriyaki sauce and a lot of fixin's too. Good bun (makes the burger IMO) and served with zuccini fries (deep fried zucs, meh) and Aioli or something (which I skipped (vegan, remember)). Pretty fast. I ordered via phone, ran over and only sat for about 10 minutes got my order back to Purdy in time to enjoy my second round.

The Place looks cool... It's causal, the service sucks... If you get a waiter with a goat-tee change waiters.... The appetizers where ok, the onion rings look good, but the batter has no taste. The runner mess-up our order with the table next to us. After we touched the food.. They just went into the kitchen came out in two seconds, and served the same food to the table next to us... I felt totally bad for that table... The desert the fired twinky  said three 3 pieces... They cut up one twinky in three pieces... Super whack! For $120 not worth it..... Or at least train your staff correct...

I had the Thunder Road burger. The burger itself was really great. However, that cold BBQ sauce on the side and the dripping wet, huge piece of lettuce really did not impress. The fries had tons of salt. It is always better to salt a little or none at all as salt can always be added later. Too much salt not only drowns out the taste of the perfectly crisp fries but it is also a key ingredient for causing High Blood pressure over time or wrecking the controls state if the customer happens to have HBP.

Service was good. The staff was kind of swamped, and had they had more servers I am sure it would have been rated excellent.

Hands down my favorite burger joint in Florida.  Great food, huge selection of beers, yeah its amazing.  If you don't like their premade configurations, you can create your own burger

++The Mustang Sally - not easy to eat but I finished the whole thing.  The Onions were a sloppy topping that really completed the experience
++Fried Pickles - these were great, perfectly cooked, tangy and savory
++Mac Daddy Cheese Gratin - fantastic mac&cheese, it was crunchy and delicious
+ Duck Fat Fries - These were pretty good, had a nice taste to them, didn't blow my mind though

    - Onion Rings - weren't memorable, you are better off with a different side

    + HUGE selection of beers
+ Make Your Own Burger - wide selection of buns, cheeses, toppings
+ Cool atmosphere- its like a mancave

This is my favorite burger joint in Miami, and luckily, it's in my neighborhood. First, the service is always the same - friendly & excellent, no matter the server. I love the inside booths. As for the burgers, they are always juicy, flavorful & cooked exactly to order. I love the mustang sally, but on occassion I'll custom build a burger and order the grilled jalapenos. They offer great options to build your own. The burgers are always great! They also offer vegetarian options, and a tuna burger. They have a pretty decent beer selection, but if you're not sure what to order, their recommendations in the menu are really great choices.

Check them out - you won't be dissappointed.
