Fabulous ordering system with great results. The staff were friendly and a bit sassy and the food was excellent.
The licensed area with picnic tables behind the restaurant was the perfect place to sit and eat out burgers and enjoy our fabulous burgers. -

As you are all aware by now, I am a salad expert and Burger 55 gets 4 stars for the fact that you can elect to have your burger on a salad instead of a bun.
Although the guys at Burger 55 did not complete my order the way I requested, my turkey burger came complete with a big fresh salad and home made vinaigrette.
I highly recommend you sample some of their Jack Daniels onion rings. You can thank me later. -

Great fresh burgers!
I went to this small outfit Sunday afternoon. Got myself the special and was very happy with the fresh ingredients.
Fantastic ordering system. You mark off your meat, bun, cheese etc and get a burger just the way you love it. Your biggest problem will be to wrap your mouth around it. -

More choices for your burger than you could possibly imagine, from the type of meat, to the bun, to the cheese, to the toppings and sauces...oh my. The burger-of-the-month is always something to behold. Where else can you get peanut butter or a grilled peach (or both!) on your burger?

Had a cheeseburger, fairly plain by choice and wife had the burger of the month an ahi burger. All was excellent. House fries are the real deal and so is the beef. No seasoning thank you! A zillion toppings to choose from. 2 burgers, 2 fries, $26

Burger 55 is the brainchild of a couple young guys but it harkens back to the old days. It's crammed into a tiny tire shed by the banks of the mighty river. Where once rims and rubber reigned, now burgers and fries reside. Every burger is custom made. Customers cram into the little counter area and grab a clipboard menu. Write your name on the top and start checking off all the goodness options you'd like. I don't know what number of combos you could come up with: there's too many to list here. (Check the website for a sample menu) Vegetarians and fowl lovers will have no problem here. Don't want a bun? No problem, they'll salad-ize your order. A couple items worth mentioning... a grilled peach (It is the Okanagan), at least six cheese choices, shredded beetroot (Aussies and Kiwis rejoice) and minced olives. When it all comes together, with your handcut fries and in-house gravy, you've got a burger that puts the rest to shame. Cross your fingers - they're trying for an outdoor liquor license to serve beer and wine on the picnic tables by the river walk.
My personal tip: double the 55 signature sauce and roast peppers -

Very cool ordering system. You walk in grab a clipboard with an order sheet and check off what you want. They have almost to many toppings to choose from.
Both times I have been here, I made the same mistake and over did it was the toppings. Which made for a sloppy messy burger that was a pain to eat. The first time I tried the curry fries, and was disappointed. I thought the curry sauce was really quite bland. The second time I had the onion rings which were very good.
If I were to go again, I would definitely choose less toppings.
One complaint I have is the fact that instead of regular bacon, they only have back bacon. Which to me is not nearly as good on a Burger. -

This place is awesome. Everything I've ever wanted in a quick burger fix kinda joint: lots of choice, good ingedients, and nothing fussy or pretentious. Ordering here is like dim sum for burgers: you check items off a list. It's stress-free and lots of fun. I wish you could get the burgers medium rare, but some Canadian health code may be at play.
