Absolutely professional, reliable, honest, and direct. Helpful and educational as well. Needed services 3 years ago, done completely to satisfaction. Found recurrence of termites, and owner came by and actually told me this was a different kind, and did not need treatment! Even refused payment for time spent, an hour. As a homeowner, we all worry about infestations of course, and I think someone less honest would have gone ahead and treated, whether it was needed or not. Bravo for good old fashioned way of doing business! YY Tam..Oakland Hills resident.

Rich and company came over 4-5 times to spray for bedbugs. The bedbugs are back, 3 months after our last infestation. Rich was very responsive but I am not sure he has the right solution to the problem. This is a relatively new phenomenon in the Bay Area and a combination of poison spray in conjunction with whole house heating might be required. Not sure.

I'm moving in to a house that is lovely but has a roach problem due to the last person getting old and not being able to keep up her house. The house has been thoroughly cleaned and the carpets replaced, and it's been vacant for the last 6 months. Burge has been out at least 3 times over the last few months and the roaches are still running freely around the kitchen!
After wasting time and money, I'm calling another company to get the job done! Thanks for nothing, Burge. -

Excellent service - they came out on the same day I called and got rid of several paper wasp nests around my house. The service was over a month ago and the wasps are still gone. They also did a great job explaining what they did and what chemicals they used.

Rich and the Burge Pest Control employees are my knights in shining armor. There is no one else I'd like to see other than these guys arriving at my house, ready to wipe out anything with 8 legs or more.
And please, don't flame on me about being inhumane because I have arachnophobia. I would seriously be a walking spazz case if it weren't for these guys to come to my rescue (especially when you live near a lot of green, aka spider-haven)
What I love about Burge: They are prompt and flexible. They are very knowledgeable, give great advice about pest control in general. The chemicals they use are organic...whatever that means. I assume its much safer on the environment. And the chemicals don't smell like you've been showered in Raid.
Its the most breath-taking sight to behold after they've come to spray...Not a cobweb or single living insect alive. -

I discovered there was a huge nest of some sort of flying stinging insect in my back yard when my tree service guys were attacked and stung multiple times (by the way, Brende & Lamb, I'm sorry, and you're awesome). I spent a couple of days thinking gee whiz these wasps, or whatever they are, are part of nature and I should just leave them alone, just give them their space. Yes, my parents are hippies.
But then I stood near the nest area for about five minutes, just checking them out, and the wasps (you may know them better as yellow jackets) attacked me, just for standing there. That did it. There are two small children next door, and I started having nightmares about them being attacked. When I called Burge I was all, "Wasps! Help! Save the children! WASPS! " Burge came quickly, worked quickly, and was gone quickly. So were the wasps. Gone, that is. A year later they are still gone. Thank god. -

I had Rich out over a year ago to spray for ants. I hate ants, and they were everywhere! Fast forward a year or more and not a single ant to be found. 5 star service and results.

I've used their services for wasps and spiders (spraying outside of home). The service was great and the treatment very effective. I've also called Rich (owner) a number of times regarding other pest "emergencies" and he's always helped out, talking to me about the problem, suggesting his own services when appropriate, or other services as needed. A very friendly and knowledgeable guy! I'm so glad they are around when I need them.

Don't Yelp much, but they were so good, had to say something. They were, smart, efficient, and effective. Came out same day, took care of our wasp nest quickly & easily, and respected our desires to make it as kid safe as possible (we have 4 kids in our triplex).
And for someone who hates writing checks, I loved the fact you could pay online. Thumbs up for these folks. We don't have any more pests, but if we do, we'll be calling them again. -

Plain and simple, Burge gets the job done. They always call the day before they arrive and do their job well. We had a wasp nest in the backyard a while back and so we called Burge. They came out and removed the little nasty beasts--no extra charge. Great service. No big corporation here, just a hard working small local company.

Burge is awesome! my neighbor has a huge rat problem and they were starting to come to my house. My neighbor was no help at all, so I had to do something to protect my house. Rich knocked it out and I have had no problems. What a lot of people don't understand is that a bug company is step one to resolving the problem. I as a home owner have to do my part as well. Otherwise, it would be a constant battle. He was very clear on steps I had to take myself to help keep them away. I followed his instructions and am very happy with the outcome! Thanks Rich!!!
