Dr. Arlene Takashita, acupuncturist, herbalist, chiropractor--- she does it all, and on a budget! Burbank Healing Arts Center has the best prices in LA.
I suffer from generalized anxiety disorder and recently have gotten bad panic attacks at night. Dr. Arlene's acupuncture was life transforming. I'm having to take less western medication and leave her office feeling like a new man every time.
If you suffer any kind of pain or mental illness I HIGHLY recommend acupuncture. With that being said, why pay $200 for it?! Dr. Arlene charges fair prices with quality care-- something rare and obsolete in LA.
Dr. Arlene's support staff is professional and will try to work with your health insurance to cover the costs. Bottom line is, don't let $$ prevent you from getting the healing you need.
As patient for over two years, I highly recommend Burbank Healing Arts Center! -

I was in real need of help as my ailments have listed from: Broken bones, a seperated shoulder, many sprains and lower back pain and a broken finger (Currently) just to name a few. I work as a Hotel Bellman and I play many vigorous sports to stay active. I have seen a chiropractor and that helped my back somewhat but it did not help my sprained ankle or many other ailments as I had hoped.
I also had been a bit skeptikal regarding accupuncture but after research and treatment by such a wonderful and caring Doctor I am a firm believer.
Thank you for walking me through all of the steps and taking your time to listen to me Dr. Takaki.
My treatment consisted of accupuncture and chiropractor adjustments as well as a bit of deep tissue massage and I feel great. I really can't wait to go back for more treatment since my first treatment helped so much.

If you are looking for a great acupuncturist around Burbank or have been wanting to try acupuncture but feeling a little uncomfortable about it, look no further! Dr. Arlene Takaki at the Burbank Healing Arts Center is the best! Here is a youtube video of her explaining the basics of acupuncture: http://www.youtube.com.... She is also a chiropractor and herbalist in case you need those kinds of services, too.
The office is very clean and has a relaxing ambience. There are other acupuncturists/chiropractors at the Center, but Dr. Takaki is the one I work with. She is extremely personable, positive, and generous with her time and efforts to help you with whatever ailments you may have. Aside from acupuncture, she provides health and nutrition suggestions (depending on what you are there for), which are very informative and beneficial.
You will need to make an appointment, but Dr. Takaki is flexible. The office is on the corner of Victory and Lincoln, not too far from the Costco in Burbank. There is a small parking lot , but you can also park on the street (Lincoln). I can't recommend her highly enough! -

First, let me begin by stating that not only is this my first review on Yelp, but I actually signed up just to review the Burbank Healing Arts Center (http://www.bhacinc.com/) and most specifically, my acupuncturist, Diep Ho.
I moved to Los Angeles three years ago, having never tried acupuncture, and several of my friends encouraged me to try it for my chronic upper back pain, having only positive things to say. I tried several places I was skeptical about, until a close friend suggested the Burbank Healing Arts Center, raving about Diep's services. So, I decided I had nothing to lose and made an appointment.
I've been seeing Diep for over a year now, and could not possibly be happier! She is attentive, knowledgeable, and puts one completely at ease. My back pain has been lessening exponentially since I've started seeing her. I look forward to the warm greetings and calming green tea scents (there's a bakery next door and the combo of smells is intoxicating!).
Recently, I was in a motorcycle accident in which I tore 80% of the ligaments in my right ankle. A week after the accident, I called Diep and made an appointment. She and the resident there, Arlene Takaki, have given me every treatment from acupuncture, herbal wraps, moxie stick & laser treatments, massage, and chiropractic. Thanks to Diep and my physical therapy, I've had a rapid recovery! I'm SO grateful to have a physician that truly cares for her patients!
She is an herbalist as well, and will not rest until a remedy is found for any issue you may be having. My digestive problems I've had for as long as I can remember are finally gone, thanks to her!
