Hmm...I have to say that Bur-Eat-Os has improved their quality AND the best part is nobody seems to know about it.
Decent burrito, good price, and no line? 3 stars right there.
Add an extra star for having caffeine free diet coke.Listed in: Rincon Center and Nearby

Meh and Meh.
Not horrible, but very, very bland burritos. Also, the tortillas are very chewy and… Read more »

Hum, so many bad reviews! But I did notice that the latest review was a year ago, so maybe they've improved?
While waiting for my friend in the Hills (lol I almost typed "Hillz") Plaza, I decided that my tummy rumbles weren't going to go away, so I went to Bur-Eat-Os because it was right there, and I just really wanted something quick and easy to eat.
Around 2 pm, there was only one other person in the shop. We both looked up at the menu and our jaws dropped. It's literally a huge, huge menu, but then I realized that it was really kind of an illusion (not like Magic Eye) : The menu had maybe over 50 items, but then I realized that there were probably only 20 or so actual different things, because they were mostly all variations of one another. For example, a meatball sandwich, meatball panini, or a meatball wrap. Interesting.
They have all types of paninis, sandwiches, wraps, and burritos. This isn't your average Mexican food joint (which I initially thought it was), although they do have actual burritos (ranging from breakfast, to super, to random stuff in the tortillas). After realizing that there were just too many choices, I settled on a super chicken burrito, and for being a decent distance from the Mission, it was actually really good: chicken, rice, black beans, salsa, cheese, guacamole. All the basics, but HUMONGOUS.
It's not that expensive compared to other stuff in the Financial District and SOMA; most of their items range from $5 to $8, and the portions are pretty big. I was able to finish my burrito, but then again, I'm also a huge glutton.
So, I wish that people would write some more updated reviews, because if I'd read the reviews first, I probably would've staned away. But I'm definitely glad I tried it, and when I'm not as ADHD, I'll definitely go back to examine their menu more closely and try their different things.Listed in: SOMA Embarcadero eats, Financial District Lunchtime

Not really impressed with their burritos.
Kind of bland, and they don't keep the meat hot enough so that when they wrap it up and you've gone out the door that the cheese is melted and the burrito stays hot.
Only went here because I waited 10 minutes and never got helped at the place next door.
It's not in the Mission so what can you expect? -

While I can't recommend traveling more than 100 feet to grab some Bur-Eat-Os, the food is alright--though overpriced--and comes in considerable variety. The horribly tacky name might be reason enough for some not to buy food here. But if you must, then take it to go, since there are only two counter seats for sad suit-and-ties.

a deli, corner eatery, if you will, conveniently serving the GAP, Critical Path and ( the now-Crunch employees, formerly Bally's Fitness, and its gym clientele (such as moi) ...
after my early morning workout, while high with natural endorphin excretions, i hastily swing buy to get a doze of my Hazelnut flavored coffee for a further morning energy boost before heading off to my daily version of Mt. Calvary - commuting on 101 to San Jose ..
on rare occassions, after our early Wed morn boxing class, i'd treat my famished body to a hearty breakfast burrito...
the large coffee is pretty good and strong, priced rightly considering the exhorbitant overhead rent these guys are burdened with ... breakfast burrito is pretty tasty, generous portions of scrambled egg and chorizos, warm and nourishing...
best of all is the service ... the owner is friendly and chatty with most everyone ... he never fails to greet his regular patrons hello, goodbye, and never fails to cater to even those chatty and needy folks, while ensuring those peeps in a rush such as myself, get their change fast and quick ...
good service, neighborhood-feeling joint, at the Embarcadero .. i think deserves a four_star. -

ya know, working in this neighborhood, this DEFINITELY used to be the
"you're not going to bur-eat-os for lunch, are you? stay away from the fish tacos..."
but john (the owner - chatty guy in aspasia's review) really stepped it up once the sandwich place next door opened up. Granted - the sandwiches still leave a little to be desired, but it's quick, there's a pretty huge variety, and chances are that the days of explosive diarrhea after a pepper steak fajita are pretty much over.
the middle eastern platter is AWESOME. great frickin' hummus. and he serves golden boy pizza. BONUS. -

I'd really like to give it another 1/2 star because it is pretty solid, but its not really like i get excited about their burritos, its just convenient because I work like 25 feet away. My favorite burrito is the "gabrey's special", its brown rice, black beans, and grilled veggies.. its pretty tasty and doesnt make you feel like a fat ass

Perhaps the fastest assembly of a burrito ever. Very impressive, along with the decent prices, brown rice option and 99% fat free flour tortilla.

Definitely agree that the food here is way overpriced, but we're proabably paying for location. Otherwise, I probably could walk 10 minutes away from the office for something better priced. So, judging purely from this perspective this place isn't too bad. They have capricorn coffee for those mornings where that 7 minute walk to starbucks just can't happen. They also have a pretty reasonable $4 breakfast burrito that helps ease your guilt for going to happy hour the night before. The lunch salads totaling around $8-10 don't really seem worth it as you can probably buy all the ingrdients from safeway and make 5 lunches for that amount..but hey, we're paying for convenience.

Don't get nickled and dimed!!! Today wasnt the first time I was charged a premium for asking for "a little more" content to their wimpy servings. I asked them for "a little more egg" and was asked to pay $1.50. I thanked the owner and told her that I'd take my breakfast burrito needs elsewhere!! Say NO THANKS to overpriced food and bad service. There's a Taco Truck less than half a block away on Spear and Folsom that serves generous portions for the same or less $$!
