Ok if you are looking for AUTHENTIC pizza in an AUTHENTIC NYC pizza joint...

    THEN LOOK NOOOO FURTHER.

I have been coming here since I was 8 or 9 years old and the pizza is amazing and the cheesesteaks are the best you're gonna find south of philly!

The family owned business is always making something fresh behind the counter and the service is friendly despite its rough and gruff exterior.

By far one of the best pizza places in Bel Air! I ordered a large pepperoni pizza, the crust was well seasoned and the texture was good! The sauce and the cheese was on point too! I will def be back for some more!!!!

Been eating here for 30+ years in the same location, but different owners and different names...

As they've grown, the quality of the food as slowly gone downhill.   I'm not saying it's a bad place, just that it was much better at another time.  Could I get a little sauce on my slice? It looks like you just painted the crust red.....  Thanks.

The subs are pretty good, and they'll make them any way you like them...

Bottom line; the prices are reasonable for what you get...  You can hang out with dedicated regular customers, and enjoy some decent food.   Everyone here is always very friendly and seem to know the names of most customers...

Got pizza from here for takeout.  When we went to pick up the pizza, the guy ringing us up tells us if we had a coupon we would have saved $10. Why he didn't just give us the $10 off or just not mention it I don't know, seemed really weird.

Anyways, the inside of this place reminded me of Sbarros (you know the pizza places found in the mall).

The pizza itself was not very good. The crust was kinda rubbery and hard to chew.

It seemed kinda pricey too...2 pies, each with one topping came to $27 dollars. I dunno seems like a lot for pizza (esp. bad pizza).

This pizza is awesome.  I just got a plain cheese pie, but it was 5 star worthy.  Best pizza I've had in the area (but I'm still working my way around).

I went here on a first friday (Bel Air has a first friday block party on the first friday of every month during the summer), and even though it was packed, the staff were polite, and my food came out fast.  Now that's service

Every time I even think about eating at any of the overpriced and mediocre Italian joints near my apt in CA, I remind myself that I could be eating much better food at Buontempo's on spaghetti night for a fraction of the price.  Sigh.  Instead I must usually settle for Pasta Pomodoro or another chain.

I usually stick to the pasta because I love their salads with homemade Italian dressing, and I'm not a big eater.  My family and friends usually get sandwiches, which are huge, and apparently damn tasty.  The pizza makes me want to cry - what is it about the Golden State that prevents one from being able to get decent pizza?

I heart the East Coast.  I heart Buontempo Bros.

I stopped by after smelling the delicious aroma while in downtown Bel Air. The pizza by the slice are huge and there are tons of toppings. Soups are fresh and delicious. Service is decent and polite.

I will pay TOP DOLLAR if someone can give me the recipe for their pepper Parmesan house dressing. Seriously. Or maybe they could bottle it and ship it to me. Either way.

Clearly this place is a staple in Bel Air, as noted by the afternoon lines on any given weekday. They have great specials too (Monday, I believe they have a pasta entree, salad, and bread for $5-6 total). No meal is complete without their salad, topped with delicious mozzarella cheese and the aforementioned house dressing (which sometimes I miss more than my own family).

The cream of crab soup is great, as are the crab cakes - and all very reasonably priced. Having moved to Boston about 6 years ago, I miss the ability to get a crab cake at just about every pizza/sub joint. The "equivalent" (and I use the term loosely) to a crab cake in New England is the lobster roll, although, I see no place for comparison. Lobster (which alone is very tasty) mixed with a glob of mayonnaise on a hot dog roll = flavorless, expensive goop.

I miss you Buontempo, come to Beantown, we need you.

So far so good- locally owned restaurant, got some pretty tasty food. You order from the counter and they bring it out, so service is usually fairly fast. Reasonable prices.

The food here is amazing! The staff is even better.  One time my family went here - my husband, myself and our two small children.  After we placed our order and got to the register to pay, my husband discovered that he had left his wallet at home.  The manager told him to "pay me some other time, your family is hungry".  I couldn't even believe it.  What an amazing guy.  Of course my husband went home and got his wallet and paid right away, but what a kind  gesture.  The food is great, the staff is the best and the restaurant is a great family environment.  I'm a fan for life.

I grew up in North Jersey, near New York, and had the best pizza the first twenty years of my life.  Buontempo doesn't really cut it for me, although they do have the better of the pizza's I've had around here.  However, I ordered a grilled chicken salad there for lunch one day, got some blah lettuce with a cup (yes, a CUP) of dry chicken.  It had some wierd sauce on it.  Were they joking?  I threw it out.  And I'm not really even that picky!  Never again will I step foot in there.  If they can't serve a simple grilled chicken salad (I would've at least been okay had it been FRESH) can you imagine how gross and old or cheap the rest of thier products might be?  Ew.
