I have been to Buonasera about 3 times now, and my brother is a regular. This is authentic Italian American cuisine.
Last night we had a great time and here are the dishes we enjoyed:
Bison meatball - it was outstanding I would definitely get it
Gnocchi - fresh, tasty, basically reminded me of my grandmothers recipe (maybe a little better)
Beef Carpaccio - simple yet amazing
Zucchini Flowers - These were stuffed with butternut squash and fried THE BEST THING ALL NIGHT
Pasta Fagioli - Sad to say this was not good, it's one of my favorite dishes and this was one of the worst I have ever had
Veal Chop - simple, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection.
If you don't like white table cloth, refined and yes expensive dining this is not for you. If you like to GO BIG when you do dinner this is for you. -

I've eaten here 6 or 7 times now... I'm surprised at the poor reviews on service. Service here has always been very warm and friendly, with extra effort to make a personal experience. The food is solid and, although expensive, not far beyond the price range for Palm Beach County.
The entrees that I've tried have been very tasty... you can't go wrong with the steak, the fish specials, or the veal. We've also had a lot of fun sampling the variety of appetizers, although the quality on these dishes can be less consistent. The octopus was a favorite, but in recent months doesn't taste quite the same (or as good). The caprese salad is nice, but not quite as good or fresh-tasting as at other places.
Enjoy the desserts and, if you're lucky, they sometimes throw in a small glass of limoncello! -

We go here often as the food is very good and the Owner, Antonio and Staff are very friendly. They make your dining experience feel like you've come to a freinds home for dinner, very warm and conforting, but yet professional. The only negative/positive is that on occassion they tend to over book and you may have to wait ten or fifteen minutes for a table. We don't mind this at this restaurant as it is a small place and Antonio doesn't want to dssappoint anyone. He wants to accommodate his customers and he does his best to make everyone happy. So having a drink at the bar is not a big problem. The other issue I'd like to address, some friends told us they don't like eating at Buonasera as they pad the bill. I've done my best over the past 5 years to DISPELL this RUMOR. They DO NOT pad the bill. Not once in the 5 years we've been coming to this restaurant has there ever been a problem. This is ONE of very few restaurants in the Jupiter/Palm Beach Gardens area that is truly worthy of visiting. You'll be hooked after one visit. We normally have the fish specials here but have enjoyed many other items on the menu.

YUM!! The bad reviews are crazy! My condo is a couple blocks away and my daughter and I walked here the second to last night for a late dinner. It was a surprisingly gorgeous, warm night in the middle of all this crap weather we have been having. We sat outside to enjoy it.
We ordered the Caprese Salad, add prosciutto - fantastic. ( what isn't better with prosciutto?)
Ahi App- great, needs a little salt, maybe ponzu. LOVE the fennel salad!!!
We opted to split the Strip with Spinach and FANTASTIC DUMPLINGS!!!!! Omg they're impossible to put down...and come in the delicious Parmesan crisp bowl. A superb dish.
Couple glasses of Jermann by the glass
Chocolate Lava cake with Caramel ice cream.
Yes, service is incredibly slow. Add Europeans to the FL slowness??? what do you expect???1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Tom P.
Jupiter, FL
I like to be positive, I really, really do. But bad is bad and if I can save anyone from mediocre food at high prices then call me Negative Ned. But I am not negative nor Ned and my experience at Buonasera left me stone cold. The wait staff is pretentious which is fine if the food is of that level. It isn't, so my recommendation is to stay away from this high priced restaurant with below average food.

We sat and drank, and eat dinner, at their bar. Paul, the bartender, was incredible. Polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food is a little pricey, but it is good food. The owner walked up and introduced himself to us. That's a sign of a good "host." As far as I'm concerned, the exemplary service more then makes up for the "pricey-ness".

Jupiter, FL
Zero stars for value. Very pretentious place, with rude, condescending staff. Ridiculous pricesand attitude for a run-of-the -mill strip mall establishment. My advice: there are plenty of Italian restaurants in the area, who serve good, reasonably-priced food and actually make you feel welcome.

I just went with my family for dinner here. The service was TERRIBLE! We waited almost 1 1/2 hours for our meal. We had an 8:30 reservation and finally got served our meal at 10:00. The wait staff and the owner told us this is typical service for their restaurant. With all the good restaurants in the area, I will never go here again.

Review from Mark G.

My wife and I recently had three meals at Buonosera, a lunch and two dinners. As we often do, we acclimated ourselves at the bar with our traveling backgammon board. It is the best way to plug in. We were able to get to know the staff and, most importantly, the owner, Antonio Tasca, who could have spent hours with us talking about Italian politics and history. The entire staff was open, inquisitive and well-informed. Our experiences were thoroughly enjoyable (otherwise we would likely not have had more that one!). Buonosera fulfilled all of our requirements: the wine list was expansive and well-priced, the dishes were authentically prepared and properly representive of an authentic Italian restaurant(bolognese is always my litmus test and, with the milk fed veal, it passed with flying colors), the ambiance and decor were inviting, the service was attentive, but not in our faces, and the pricing was appropriate. For the most part, the dining room was occupied by a fairly sophisticated crowd who appeared to be mostly well-dressed regulars. The high point was the sliced seared tuna appetizer (perhaps the least Italian item on the menu) which was served with a wonderfully complimentary fennel salad. We ordered it twice! Only short of five stars because I reserve that grade for the exceptional.
