Compared to Panera, this place is a perfect area to study, meet someone for a light snack, and hold a business meeting. The restrooms are amazingly clean because they are connected communally on the property. There are rooms to rent if you need a little privacy. The wireless doesn't kick you out during peak hours. The coffee is great for a small company and doesn't usually vary to a strong degree by barista.

I'm a big coffee addict and decided to try this place out based on the amazing reviews! I enjoyed their latte very much and their customer service is amazing! What more could you ask for?

Their chai tea lattes are really good. They have like 7 different flavors there but my favorite is still the original.

Found this through a friend and WOW. What a great place and super friendly staff!
I have been over 30 times and spent a what I would consider a fair amount of money, so I feel confident that my review is very fair. Hmm 4 stars, that's pretty darn good :)
Pros:
- amazing ristretto (95% of the time)
- espresso that doesn't make your stomach hurt!
- great fresh selection for the press
- nice variety on drip
- great tea selection
- decent sweets
Cons:
- prices for "tea on ice" expensive
- fruit selection almost non existent
- Christian atmosphere, we're are not all Christian... (Personally I don't care if they are next to a church, no problem, but the reading material and music, total turn off..)
There are many of my friends that I could not recommend this place to, regardless of how great the coffee is... And to make it clear, if it was another religion being promoted (Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Taoism and so on), I would still feel the same... For the record, before Buon Girono, the last time I heard Christian music was when I walked by the Christian bookstore in the mall or changing the stations on my fm radio. In retrospect, even my mother and sister are would probably dig this place :) I'd say stop in, get a drink and remember to tip! -

This is now my second update to Buon Giorno, but it must be written because I had a really great experience that I wanted to write about that makes me certain this is a place that must be frequented here in town!
After a few visits to the store, I was confused by some of the worship music and religious reading material I had found at the shop, and felt like it wouldn't be an inclusive place for someone who wasn't christian (like me), and at the time wrote a review that reflected those feelings.
David, Buon Giorno's owner, immediately contacted me through Yelp to share his vision for the shop--to make it an inclusive one that meets the needs of customers, some who requested religious music, but also for those of us with more secular tastes (they really put together a great play list, especially if you like indie music). He wanted to make sure I knew that building community was his number one goal--a place where anyone can feel welcome, and he even invited me to the store to hear my own story and share my own interests in community building. We had a delightful two hour meeting, and I can honestly say nothing like that has ever happened to me before and it was so refreshing and fun!
It's not lip-service--the fact that a busy coffee shop owner (he and his wife own not one, but two stores--the other, flagship store, is in Grapevine) would take the time to reach out to a customer who wasn't feeling comfortable really spoke volumes, and for that reason I truly feel that Buon Giorno is an incredible place to spend time (and get an amazing cup of spiced chai tea or tasty scones!) and meet others from our local community. I can't wait to go back to Buon Giorno, bring all my friends, and make sure this place is a lasting institution here in town!!!!! Thanks, David, to you and your staff for making it so special.Listed in: Vegetarian in Cowtown

I have been to another location of this establishment that far- surpassed this one.
The coffee is still pretty top notch but the service here was weird. Truly the only word that I would use is weird. I asked for a piece of paper and was looked at like I was asking for a million dollars. Even leaving and saying "thanks" became a strange game of staring between the 2 men behind the counter and us.
lots of seating and options for different types of comfort. -

As far as chain places go, this is pretty tops. Starbucks pales in comparison, as they are turning into McD's more and more each day.
Kaldi's from STL is a great likeness. Not a mom and pop, so you get the free wireless and nifty couches and flair, but not Dunkin D's, so you get a great cup of joe.
Win in my book. -

This very casual cafe has a nice atmosphere and deserts that range from passable to somewhat good. A decent variety of teas as well as a small selection of paninis are available. The paninis are suprsingly delicious, but this place does not appear to be intended as a restuarant so the variety is limited. Expresso Drinks and hot chocolates are also well made.
But what really shines here is the coffee. There are always a selection of different types of beans that have been recently roasted in their Grapevine store (other than a slightly updated decor this place is very similar to the Grapevine store). You can have your coffee made several different ways, including french press. I haven't had anything here yet that wasn't fantastic.
The staff is actually quite knowledgeable about coffee and can offer suggestions. The customer base matches the casual atmosphere and this is a great place to hang out, have some coffee and a sandwich and get some work / studying done. Live music on some Friday and Saturday nights is a bonus / irritation depending on what you intend to do during your visit, as it is quite loud for the size of the location.
Update: I should add that if you order sandwiches they usually take a long time to come out (more than 15 min. sometimes). I am usually here studying so the delay doesn't bother me, but it should be noted that this is not a good place for a quick lunch. -

I truly love this place. The coffee is top notch, whether you are getting a latte-type drink or french-press or tea, it is all delicious. I used to frequent their grapevine location, but after moving to fort worth they opened this up downtown, and I think I go there 5 times a week. They roast all their beans on site in the grapevine location daily, and if you can't tell the difference between this and starbucks I don't know what to tell you.
The atmosphere is what makes it really nice though... plenty of tables, free wifi, good background music. GREAT staff who all nice, friendly, and provide good service. I really can't say enough for this place... just stop by and try a cappuccino and you'll see......
My favorite place in Fort Worth (if you couldn't tell already)' -

This is a true coffee shop, so the star of this little coffee shop is the coffee! The quality of the bean and expertise of the baristas serves up a great cup of joe, I have only tasted similar quality coffee at Inteligencia in LA or Kaldi's in St. Louis. I am a self-professed Starbucks nut, but this place makes me question my commitment to Starbucks.
Here, each coffee, is made to perfection (based on the few I have tasted).
The challenge may be finding this place, it is off of Henderson and State, near Firestone apartments, behind the Walgreens near downtown.
Once found, you will not be let down. It may take a few visits to adjust to Buon Giorno's style. Bottom line is that the coffee is high quality. The Chai's are tasty and very sweet, like drinking a dessert. I have heard the teas are wonderful also. The pastries are very yummy, the cranberry bread pudding bar is scrumptious.
The vibe is perfect for a "coffee talk" or studying and hanging out. Such a nice and refreshing alternative to Starbucks, this place is just what Fort Worth needed. -

This morning I went to Buon Giorno and had the Kona French Press. It was the best coffee I have had in a very, very long time.

I've been once but I can't wait for the 2nd time. I had the chai latte and it was amazing! It was one of the better ones that I've had in the DFW area.
I also really liked the feel of the place, the vibe was a lot more comfortable than Starbucks.
edit: OK I went back a second time and it just keeps getting better. This time I had the green tea chai latte and my wife had something that tasted like a liquid brownie. Both were incredibly good. -

I like it more every time I go. The coffee is great, the sweet treats good (the shortbread pieces are enormous), and the atmosphere exactly as it should be in a coffee shop. Best in Fort Worth as far as I'm concerned.
