Wow what a great lunch today. We all get together at work on Fridays and pick a new place for lunch. We looked at the Friday lunch menu and gathered the order, all of us picked the cat fish sandwhich and a chowder. The cat fish sandwhich was delicious and the sea food chowder was packed sea food. This was a wonderful break from the regular lunches we do. The crew sad clam chowder was delicious. This is going to be a regular stop for chow in Milwaukee. This place should have way more reviews than it has. What a gem of the city. This is a must stop period for lunch. Check out the daily lunch menu. By the way one person opted for a med chicken noodle soup and said it was very good, this comming from a guy who loves the soup thing which I don't get. I know that this is a butcher shop but the quality of the hot meal is out standing period.

I love this place. The best quality meats, friendly and helpful staff. Good prices and their package deals are great! I shop here frequently, and recommend Bunzel's to all my friends!

Bunzel's is the best. The meats they carry are top notch. If I was a cow, I'd come here to check out the sexy ribeyes, strips, filets, and other prime cuts. And I do mean prime. It's nearly impossible to find anything above USDA Choice at your local grocery store, but Bunzel's always has at least a few cuts available at USDA Prime. Can't beat it.
One note: If you have a hankerin' for a steak on a weeknight, leave work a little early because the store closes at 5:30 most weekdays (1:30 on Tuesdays). -

Only 8 reviews for Bunzels? Ruh-Roh?? I know that this seems odd, every time I drive by the place looks packed. The lucky ones get a parking spot as soon as someone leaves. Maybe some of the Tosa residents have something to hide??? Ruh-Roh!! Ah ha!
Like ** BUNZELS! MEAT market! **
They are known for having high quality meats, sausage, deli, soup and catering. Where else can you ask for 200 sandwiches. Chips, Fruit trays, vegetable trays, cheese, crackers, cookies, drinks, plates, napkins and utensils? Huh, huh? And keep the cost affordable. They also specialize in hot and cold buffet menus too.
If you ever want something special make a request in advance. They will do their best to get what ever you want. Just don't ask for your "meat to be massaged." *Wink* That would be creepy and they WILL call the Police, ask Dude X for details...LoL. -

Ok, I still love Bunzels and here is one of the many reasons why: my husband and I stopped for lunch yesterday as they are now outdoor grilling. Two brats and two hot dogs (yes, we are pigs) were $5.50!!!!!!
Ok, that is CHEAP but the best part is - everything is homemade including the sausages. They get decent buns from Pappa's so you can be a total glutton, save money and support two local businesses. And you can get some homemade beef jerky too which is supposedly the best in the city.Listed in: Why I'm Fat - Cheap Ass…, Why I'm Fat, Sausage Party!, MEAT

Truly a rare find! Old-time family owned butcher shop/grocery store. Generations of family pride, and it shows. This place does a booming outdoor lunch grill if you're in the area. There were three of us and we ordered two dogs and two burgers, grand total: $4.75. You can't eat at Mickey-D's for that! Plus, the quality here is always top-notch. Their catering business is so strong that they recently purchased the restaurant next door to convert it to a banquet hall. Way to cut out the middle man! Favorites for us here have been the marinated beef sirloin, and the kosher dogs. My dog tells me that the pig ears and dog bones are the best we have every brought home for her, but then again she thinks that about everything be bring home for her.....

This is a great place to go when you are looking to buy some meat. The grocery part is a little too small but that's because it's a meat market/deli. Prepared meats like the bread stuffed pork chops came out awesome. Chicken breasts are huge. (Insert chicken joke here.) Jerky is supposed to be amazing. Beef sticks look good too but I'm leaving those for a later visit. Love this place and I will become a regular.

A terrific family meat market & caterer that goes out of its way to get you fixed up with whatever you need. Making Texas style chili and need some coarse chili grind sirloin? Have a passel of family descending and need a 20# fresh ham? No prob! The folks at Bunzel's got it or will get it in time! And always, without fail, stunningly competent service with a sincere smile, regardless of how busy they are. I'd be remiss not to mention their fabulous selection of BBQ rubs & sauces and super exotic hot sauces. Also, don't overlook the homemade pies strategically placed at the checkout counter. This is yet another unique Milwaukee treasure; I can't help but think our local economy would be better- (not fixed, but better)- if everyone had the work ethic and customer relation skills that the Bunzel's folks display, year in and year out. My family and my wife's extended family have patronized Bunzel's for decades, and it's easy to see why, when every visit just enhances your opinion of their products and service.

I attended a pig roast this past weekend that was catered by Bunzel's. Oh my gosh, the food was out of this world. We had the usual barbecued shredded pork, which was delicious, but even better was the pork with apples and onions!! The crowd loved it. I called today to find out that you can order it for only 5.99 lb. I'm also told they have all kinds of rolls right in their store. Bunzels will for sure be a regular stop for me!

Not too many places like this around anymore. This is an old fashioned butcher shop/deli. Looking at their meat case always makes me drool and want to buy one of everything in it. The meat is always fresh and you can have it cut to order. Think 2 inch thick ribeyes with the bone in. They will go in back and hack it right off the cow for you. The deli also has a hot case with incredibly cheap options for lunch or dinner. There are usually 5 or so lunch items and 3 to 5 or 6 different soups everyday. On Fridays they have 2 or 3 different kinds of fried fish. Their catfish is really hard to beat. Watch for sales on meat also. Last week they had Porterhouse's for $9.99/lb. I started going here because I work right down the street. This has to be one of Milwaukee's best kept secrets.

A must visit. Great selection and extremely friendly. The family butcher business is alive and well here. Our family usually purchases one of the monthly deals and the product is always delicious. The staff is always willing to help you with suggestions or recipes.
