It's amusing.

I like scary places. This place is mentioned in horror books, tv shows, and all over the internet.

It's scary because it's all in your head. The road it's on is creepy.. the bridge is old.

On Halloween.. there are plenty of cops at the nearby church catching people trying to go there (It's private property). So be warned. You don't want to get a ticket.

Drove here today. It has been on my bookmark list for a while. Needed to make a dent in that list.

Google'd the location and printed the page out. This was my first stop of the day. Drove using the Google directions until it made me turn the wrong way. This does not happen often, but it did today.

We ended up in Clifton. Downtown. Went to a wine store and talked to the proprietor. Asked him if he had heard of this place. He had not. Said he 'was not from that area'. OK - wonderful... I won't do a review on the wine store. Do him a favor.

We asked some local teens in front of the general store. They knew exactly where it was. Ended up following their directions to the tunnel. It is pretty cool.

Next time we will bring the teens and do it at night. That should be fun.

I was amused when I found that someone had reviewed the Bunny Man Bridge. For those of you unfamiliar with the legend of the Bunny Man and the Bunny Man Bridge - check out the Wikipedia entry:

Back in my high school days - we used to go to the Bunny Man Bridge at midnight to party. Some times we'd take some unsuspecting girls there to try and scare them. :-)

We used to tell the girls and other unsuspecting folks that if you go stand beneath the bridge at midnight on a full moon and are very quiet - you can hear the sounds of dead babies crying in the woods.

Definitely scary. I suggest you go at night with a group of friends. Drive under the bridge, park on the other side and try to walk under it. I've experienced some strange things here.... so if you're faint of heart, stay far, far away.

If you live in Clifton, or in one of the surrounding hoods, you may have heard about this urban legend. Or should I say "suburban" legend.

The tale behind the story goes like this. In the early 1900's Clifton residents successfully petitioned to get rid of a mental asylum in their town. The inmates get moved to a new facility and the bus crashes (shades of "The Fugitive") and 2 of the inmates escape.

While that whole mess happened, people in the area found dead rabbits hanging from the trees, as well as a man hung from a tree in the same manner. People started call ling the bridge close to the where the body was found The Bunny Man Bridge." One of the missing inmates was named a suspect and earned the nickname "Bunny Name."

The rumor goes that the Bunny Man has been spotted in and around the one lane tunnel that goes under the bridge.
