If you like a coffee shop with a non corporate atmosphere, great coffee, and great service, then Bungalow is for you.
I'm there on a daily basis and have noticed that since Eric and Shaina have taken over, you'll find many regulars on their computers, reading a book or conversing over Bungalow's special blends of tea or coffee roasted on site.
India is an especially good barista, and always has a quick quip if you're ready to spar.
Bungalow is a great local coffee shop that I am sure will be around for some time to come.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 19, 2012
Bungalow is literally that. a counter, a few coffee thermos, and a few tables in a dim, rustic setting.
pour: 16 oz coffee(organic, 2.25)
-server acknowledged it was organic, didn't see signs
-brew mostly smooth, traces of light acidity
-vibrant french roast tasting.
-reviews mention "flying goat"
-3.5 stars for mysterious brew
coffee drips
-looks free wifi, not sure, couple tables occupied
-fast, courteous service.
-in this area is a starbucks, "bad ass" coffee, and this bungalow.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Tonia B.Seattle, WA156314156Aug 19, 2009
I am beginning to think I went to a different Bungalow Tea, even though I didn't. I found this place while looking for a cozy amazing tea establishment to visit while on vacation and had a few hours to kill. My plan was to catch up on some email, enjoy a fantastic green tea, and buy some loose tea making supplies as a gift.
None of these things happened.
After I stumbled upon the tea list on the wall, there was no mention of what kinds of tea each was. The woman behind the counter kindly offered me a list of teas and their descriptions. I decided to go with a green jasmine pearl tea as I'm always a sucker for those little beads of joy. Well, let's set the record straight. I'm a sucker when they are steeped for the correct amount of time and using the right temperature water. What happened after I ordered my tea was that a cup was brought out and boiling hot water poured in it. Then a teaspoon or two of tea was put in a disposable filter to steep and given to me. So it was my job to steep it (good thing I know my tea) and the water burnt what was potentially a great jasmine green tea. It took me 15 minutes before I was even able to sip it. It was tragic.
As I waited for my burning tea to cool, I attempted to use their free Internet, which was a fail. I found a network, but it was locked. There was no access key anywhere and the woman that was working had just gone into a back room to sit and eat lunch and text message people. Hmph.
I then decided it was time to go. I started gathering my things and went wandering for some tea supplies. Do they have any? ONE tea press/coffeepot and it was $50. So much for that claim. I had to go to a chain to get the tea present I was hoping for.
I am glad I brought my own loose tea to make myself the duration of my vacation. Hopefully their coffee is better.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dennis M.Rohnert Park, CA504322299May 12, 2011
This is a nice small place to chill at and drink coffee and exotic teas. There is wi fi and for some reason I feel at peace when I go here.

Here's to the Bungalow! I was disappointed when the ones with the green sign moved in across from them and shortly thereafter they closed. Now they are open again, under new ownership or management I believe and doing well. Their coffee is awesome and is from The Flying Goat, which is my other favorite local coffee joint.

I have been going to Bungalow for years and love it. The new owner's kept the same ambiance as the previous. The staff is really nice and well informed. Flying Goat espresso is my favorite and they do not disappoint.
Wi-Fi is free and there is outdoor seating.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sandra C.Santa Rosa, CA017Feb 23, 2012
Love, Love, Love, this place! Staff so friendly, place is cozy and relaxing! Great Mocha and Cap!! Grind their own beans and they have Free Wi Fi too!! Seems to be family owned and operated!! It also feels really good to support a local small business... instead of a big chain! Try it you'll like it!!

Flying Goat Jake Whiteley has been blending tea in Sonoma County for over 10 years. As a founding partner of Flying Goat Coffee in Healdsburg Bungalow does Tea in Larkfield and does it really well. Their teas are wonderful as is the Flying Goat coffee (and espresso) of which I'm a fan. Loose Teas are available for purchase as well - I like their Irish Breakfast!
