Bumble Bee Daycare

Our daughter is just about to graduate from Bumblebee and move on to Preschool and I couldn't be more grateful that we put her in Bumblebee as her first out of home childcare experience. I was really nervous about having a stranger take care of her outside of our home, but I can attest to how wonderful and trustworthy Maura is. Our daughter loves going to daycare and seeing Maura, Elvia, and all of her friends and I feel so comfortable sending her there and knowing she is safe and loved. Maura also makes incredible food for the kids everyday, which has been a huge burden off of my plate. I'd highly recommend Bumblebee to anyone looking for a daycare for their young child.

Maura cared for our two boys for nearly 3 years. Our youngest was 3 months old when he started there. The love, care, and attention she gave our boys made her feel like an extended part of our family. We never had to wonder for a second whether our kids were safe. She cooks them fabulous, nutritious, homemade meals. She does lots of arts and crafts with the kids and organizes a music class too. She does an exceptional job preparing the kids for preschool. Both of our boys thrived in preschool and had easy transitions.

After visiting a few day cares, a friend (with two kiddos of her own) recommended Bumble Bee, and we are beyond grateful that she did. We've now had our own two littles go through here, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Maura and Elvia are so loving and patient, it was wonderful to see our two kiddos blossom there. Maura is very communicative and committed to the children. We would recommend this day care to any family looking for a nurturing and loving environment for their kids.

Maura and Elvia are true blessings in our life. We moved to Marin without childcare and Maura quickly became our family - watching after our two babies during a pandemic, tending to their needs, feeding and caring for them daily. My son went to Bumblebee for a year before preschool and he was incredibly prepared for the transition thanks to Maura's teaching, activities and care. And my daughter has been at Bumblebee since she was 5 months old -- when I tell you that she RUNS to get inside every morning I am not exaggerating. She absolutely loves it there and enjoys her time every day. I've never once worried about my kids in Maura's care, she loves all of them as if they are her own, makes them delicious food and keeps them happy and thriving. Maura will be part of our family forever.

Maura and her staff at Bumble Bee are so incredible! Our now 2 year old son started there a year ago, and we were very nervous about the transition, but he wasn't fazed at all and was loving Bumble Bee week 1! Maura cooks amazing meals, always has so many activities, and takes such good care of all her kids. Our son is just flourishing there - he's become so social, is learning more everyday, and is always smiling and giggling, having a great time when he's at Bumble Bee.

The only downside is that your child might not be ready to come home at the end of the day! I could not recommend Bumble Bee more, we are so thankful to have found Maura.

I can't begin to express how wonderful my family's experience with Bumble Bee was. My son and daughter were both under Maura's care and absolutely flourished in that environment. The attention that Maura and her caregivers provide to the kids is amazing. My children loved the activities, the freshly prepared meals (kudos Maura) and the overall fun & safe facility. Maura became like family to us over the years and we couldn't be happier about our decision to bring our kids to her daycare. I HIGHLY recommend Bumble Bee and am always happy to be a reference for anyone interested in learning more. Superb experience!

I am writing this with the hopes that it prevents another tragedy like the one we have dealt with due to the caretakers and how they handled my son at this facility: My son went here for only four days, and two of those days, came home with severe bruising that could only have been caused by adult hands. The first time it was bruising on two areas of his body, so I notified Bumblebee's owner, Maura, sent her pictures, and tried not to assume the worst. She told me he probably hit his back on a doll crib and struggled too much in his high chair. However, two days later, he had bruising (confirmed by an expert to be finger tip bruises, indicating that they were grabbing him very hard) on eight areas of his body. I have attached pictures. Our pediatrician said she's never seen anything like this. I don't know what you have to do to a kid to cause bruising like this, but it has to be bad. I checked the Department of Social Services and a complaint was filed against the facility in 1/2021. Do not bring your child here, and furthermore, do not bring them to ANY facility until you check complaints filed on the Dept of Social Services' website. I will not be bringing my child to any facility ever again until I find one with cameras.

Our now 2.5 year old child has been at Bumble Bee since July 2020 and has been incredibly well cared for and loved. The outdoor space is large with lots of great toys and I know he loves it -- the meals for the days always sound so delicious that I wish I were eating there every day! Haha Of particular note, Maura and her team took really good care of my little one when he had a broken leg last fall -- they adapted for him and took extra special care. Maura is very communicative with me and has a huge heart and really loves the kids.

Our daughter has been at Bumble Bee since May 2019 and we have been so happy. She adores Maura and her team, and never wants to leave when it's time for pick up. Maura has always communicated any concerns or issues with me, and we are so thankful for all she and her team have done to keep our kids safe during covid. Before covid I was always allowed to pop inside at pick or drop off, and see the kids eating and having fun. We are so thankful for Bumble Bee and Maura!

Maura is the sweetest lady I have ever met, I feel so comfortable leaving my child there. It is an easy pick up and drop off and my child always comes home well nourished and happy
