Been there a coupe of times previously..was very satisfied each time.

My last visit was in Jan ,the fire in the middle of the restaurant is really nice on a cold evening. We were seated close to the fire ..nice and cosy. The salad bar and the soup selection were really good.
Service was OK , not over bearing.  The Delmonico steak was probably one of the best steaks I have had, ..the Prime Rib my friend had was not cooked as requested, way under cooked..the waitress took it back, however it came back and was still not cooked as requested, my friend tasted my steak and wanted no more prime Rib lol.

Price was reasonable , the waitress did remove the prime rib from our bill, without being asked . I will definitely go back.

Been here twice, once was for the breakfast buffet, once was in december so take that into account.

The breakfast buffet was pretty decent, but nothing to write home about.

When I went in december for dinner, I ordered fried food and it was just bad. Not a fan personally. They did have a salad/soup bar which was pretty awesome actually.

It's OK.  Good Prime rib(not inexpensive but good).  Nat and I have gone here because they are open during the winter.  Barely open.  Go to their website and print out the coupon to get $5 off your order.  Not the best place for prime rib but as I said it is open year round.

The salad bar is what they claim as the best in the area.  It is the only salad bar in the area.  In Wells/ Ogunquit the only "chain" Restaurant is:
Subways, Mackas, and that's about it.   They don't have Salad Bars.  A Ruby Tuesday salad bar is as good but for better or worse this little Tourist town does not have anything like that.

This is a better alternative to the Maine Diner. . . But not by much.

As far as I can tell they have at least been around since the 70's because their decor is strait from that time period. It's very cool but creepy in that way.
The food is your basic american seaside fare. They got the bull and they got the claw. We happened to get the 2 foot long lobster sandwich.
It was at least enough for 3-4 people. It was good, there was Lobster busting out of their home made baguette.
We also tried some fancy non-alcoholic drinks, The Lavender Cooler and the Summer breeze or something. They were both seriously awesome!
Prices were average, wait staff the same.
great for families and early birds. It's right across from the maine Diner which I have also heard good things about, but this is definitely worth another trip!

Absolutely fabulous!  Food was delicious!  The waitress was the best!  The salad and soup were fresh and delicious!  The grass fed sirloin was so tender we didn't need a knife.  The lobster add-on for $8 was great!  I wish this restaurant were closer!!!!

Dated furnishings.  Slow service (but we did have a very large party).  Food was ok (but again, that may be because of the size of our party).

We recently went to the Maine diner which was yummy and discovered Bull and Claw due to it's proximity.  This trip was soley to go to Bull and Clas and I love salad bars so admit that was my draw.  My husband had the special which not only inculdes the salad bar in the cost but also a three soup variety bar.  The swordfish was prepared the way her asked and not how listed on the menu.  That impressed him to start.  I was also impressed that what I wanted broiled haddock, was ona  smaller portion menu so I could get the salad bar add on and not feel like I would be wasting money on my meal if I didn't finish.  Out waitress was very attentive, if anything, seemed as if too much wait staff for the amount of people in the restaurant.  They had business awards on the wall int he entrance dating back to 2001 and even though the decor is not up to date, the food was so delicious you could look past it.  The salad bar is in an old boat and that adds a bit to the charm.  We will definitely return again.

Across from the Maine Diner, my guess is they get a lot of the overflow business because of the long wait from that much better place.  Decor was old, wait staff, while friendly, was neglectful and forgetful.  I had the prime rib, with a baked potato, and overcooked medley of frozen broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots.  It was very "meh."  Too much fat in the prime rib; got cold too quickly.  My sisters got haddock florentine and eggplant parmesan.  I didn't try them, but they really didn't seem impressed.  Just mediocre.  The best thing was the desserts:  chocolate lava cake and peanut butter ice cream pie.  Overpriced, and a long wait, which didn't seem necessary when there were plenty of open booths--just not enough wait staff?  Would neither go back, nor recommend.
