COOL GUIDE, LOTS OF ANIMALS
Really cool guide, drove out to get some crocks. This guide must be the aligator whisperer or something. He just told them to come to us, and they all came up to the boat... He said: If only women were that easy to command, hehehehe
Seriously, I don't think it could get any better than this, unless you want the cliche shows and all that stuff. -

Well worth the trip! We were able to actually touch and hold an alligator! Great picture opportunities and a very nice guide.
One thing to note is that the location is a bit west of where yelp has it on their mapped location. -

This was a great tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and NOT afraid of the alligators. He reached in the water and grabbed a small baby that we all got to touch and hold if we wanted. He also got the big ones to come right up to our boat and open their big jaws for some cuban bread! We stopped the boat at a small shaded area with a little walking trail. He told us about the Miccosukee tribe that lives on that land. All in all a great tour where you learn about the wildlife as well as the people that live there! Tour was $20 and then we tipped our guide. Tour lasted a little over an hour.

Really wanted to visit, but he closed for the day with no notice and with no signs. We waited for a while but eventually gave up. Good thing, because the lady at the next place said that he decides not to show up on certain days without any notice.

Very authentic, informative and knowledgeable guide, small groups, animal friendly natur respecting tours (no wrestling with the crocodile show). It was a cool experience!

Crowded bike trails at Shark Valley made us spontaneously go on an air boat ride instead. WOW! What a great decision! It was surreal being in the everglades and not be in a car on a road. Our guide Ernie was chock full of colorful anecdotes and stories about native American ways and the Everglades.
Throughout the tour, we would stop and within moments alligators were near the boat. Close enough to touch!
I cannot wait to have out of town guests visit so that I can take them!
(Side note, I would avoid the Everglades during the rainy season and mosquitoes but that should be a given... in February the weather is amazing all throughout South Florida so it was not a problem for us. -

Wow! I can't believe I'm the first to review this gem! Many locals are familiar with Buffalo's as the best place to go for airboat tours through the Everglades.
What makes it so special, you ask? Well, first of all the tour guides. Buffalo Tiger's personality is generous of spirit, cool in nature, and lighthearted in demeanor. He gives tours through the river of grass himself and shares his knowledge and heritage generously along the way. Above all, he is sincere. Further, the property is on the Indian Reservation and you know what that means....
During my two tours with Buffalo Tiger I was able to pet, yes PET an alligator, my friend was able to drive, yes DRIVE the airboat, and we all met raccoons, birds, and multiple gators.
The trip to Buffalo Tiger's is memorable and exciting. I take every visitor I get; it's not to be missed!Listed in: Tourist Time

Had a great tour of the everglades that was laid back and sincere and packed with information. We stopped at one point and got up close with a gator. We took a tour right at the beginning of a cold snap and they told us we were lucky to come that day, as they wouldn't have any more tours until the weather returned to normal. They provided a heavy blanket for the tour, but with a windchill, it was still cold. So, if Florida is having a cold snap, call first because it is a long drive out to the everglades. Also the gators aren't as plentiful and active when the temperature drops. I would love to do this tour again in warmer weather.

this is a review for the service, not the tour itself. we never got to take the tour.
here's what happened. we called the day before our intended visit to make reservations for 2 people. we were informed by the woman on the phone that we could just show up in the morning and it would be no problem, so we didn't need any reservations.
cut to next morning. we show up at the park at about 10, and are told that there are too many people already waiting that she can't take us today. they only have one small boat with 2 employees (one driver and one guide). we would have to wait 2 hours for our turn, and that would be too late. so she turned us away. i was very excited by all the reviews i've read, so i was incredibly disappointed not to get to go on the tour after driving all that way. we turned around and ended up at the Everglades Safari Park a couple of miles away and had a great time. too bad for Buffalo Tiger. -

I grew up in South Florida and have had my share of airboat tours in my life. Buffalo Tiger's stood out as the best. It's on the Indian reservation and run by native Americans - so has knowledgable people running it. The tour stops at an actual place the tribe once lived. The guide told us all about what life was like, told us how they made food and got by before modern life swallowed their way of life. Best of all the hammock they stop at has no annoying people trying to sell you stuff. It allowed some time to think about where we were. The area is full of wildlife, instead of feeding the animals to get them to come to the boat, they slow the boat down and let the animals quiety go about their business as if we aren't their. Its pretty far out there, but worth passing the other places by.
