Review from Erin B.
Knoxville, TN
I really enjoyed my experience at this place. I would have enjoyed it even more with a martini or two in me, but I had my baby with me & that's just tacky.
Anyway, my husband & I stopped here on our way home from the airport. I'm really glad we did--a great way to get a solid Buffalo-food fix when you've been away for a while. We shared a double order of medium wings (my husband is a wuss) and they were really, really good. Very crispy and the sauce was dyn-o-MITE. Not hot, mind you, but you could smell the butter as soon as the plate landed on the table.
Now, let me just say that I am typically a wing-purist. These were not your straight-up chicken wings. The sauce had a goodly bit of black pepper--and I LOVED it. The blue cheese sauce--not straight blue cheese--there was also either some Parmesan or Romano in the mix, but it was not grainy or lumpy--it was so creamy and funky--I'm drooling just thinking about it.
We ordered and shared the 1/2 lb burger w/gorgonzola and the Philly cheesesteak. The burger--medium-rare heaven. Lots of gorgonzola on there, so melty and dreamy. The cheesesteak, weeellll...the roast beef is not house-made, which is sort of like a mortal sin in a region of the country known for their roast beef sandwiches. But still, it was high quality deli roast beef and the sandwich was very tasty.
The best thing though--the sandwiches come with homemade potato chips, a fact that is not advertised on their menu. A fantastic surprise, although I did find a few that were not as crisp as I like. I ended up bringing a good deal of them home in a box and they were great as a beer snack later that night, heated and crisped in the oven--and dipped in that crack-based blue cheese wing sauce (yes, I brought that home, too.)
They have local beers on tap, which is always a win with me. Support these guys--they are doing the good work.Listed in: Burger Busting

A little pricey for what you get but the food was good. Lots of options, meat, salads, breads and specials. A good variety for picky eaters.

It can be hit and miss with various menu items. Their portabello mushroom sandwich and fries are good. Pizzas are rather small considering the price. Once a dinner companion ordered pesto pasta and it was swimming in oil - not very appetizing. Usually appetizers and sandwiches are a good bet. Decent service, though sometimes can be a bit slow. I'd recommend for lunch.
