Canadian Bacon, Egg, Cheese Pizza is awesome on a rainy day or ANY day. I don't know how many few people know about this place, but its a quick way to have the best brunch? Breakfast Pizza, enough cheese to call it pizza and enough eggs to call it breakfast and on a nice crusy bread base, you can easily eat all 14 slices.

Always made hot and fresh. Never had an issue with pick-up but not much of it is left when I get home. Its never greasy or too much, just perfect amount of simple ingredients and makes waking up worth it for a slice of their breakfast pizza.

Of course, they do have your regular pizzas, seating is a bit limited and theres a private parking lot. Awesome workers, great concept with Breakfast Pizza that I don't think a lot of people would think of. The eggs aren't the rubbery stuff, its real eggs, almost like a quiche-like texture.

I have walked in and picked up a breakfast pizza and walked out. The breakfast pizza tasted fine, no actually it was good and I would get one again. I have not had anything else yet hence the 3 star rating.

When I heard of breakfast pizza I thought my friend just didn't know how to describe a quiche, but then I had the pleasure of walking into the office one morning and being greeted by an actual breakfast pizza, and it was amazing!

I have always loved breakfast pizza with a cup of coffee. So now let me describe the difference between my breakfast pizza and Buffalo's:

My Breakfast Pizza= last nights left over pizza chilled over night and served cold.

Buffalo's= A hot pizza but instead of tomato sauce it has fluffy eggs (omelette style), cheese, topped with bacon, sausage, chorizo, ham and/or veggies.

How could this not be a national phenomena? It's two of my favorite things, pizza and breakfast, put together. It's seriously genius! It's the pizza equivalent of brunch!

After trying it for the first time Buffalo's earned a place in my heart under the sign Sacramento Favorites, right between the affordable cost of living and my girl Alani C.

I would highly recommend this as a breakfast meeting food. Warning this is a CA$H only joint! I would also recommend ordering early and doing take out.

I've only had the breakfast pizzas from here so my review is slightly 'jaded'.  That being said, this is hands down one of my favorite breakfast foods. The taste of their pizzas has always been on point. I challenge anyone to find a better breakfast pizza in nor cal. Thanks for the many years of churning out delicious breakfast pizzas!

I was having a pizza party at work and thought it would be fun to do a combination of regular and breakfast pizzas.

The breakfast pizzas have egg on it so think of it sort of like a frittata or quiche. I got 6 pizzas - 3 large breakfast: cheese and bacon;spinach & mushroom; chorizo & tomato.  All were hits.  I ordered 3 regular pizzas you know the usual suspects and they were delicious too.

I asked for them to be delivered and he showed up right on the dot!  Everything was piping hot.

    Breakfast pizzas are genius!

Before I gave this place a try, I was a little put off by it's location. It's directly across the street from a cemetery. Creepy! Still, my coworkers wouldn't stop raving about it. Five Stars based on the multitude of breakfast pizzas I've consumed for more than a decade!

My god I have hungry girl dreams about this place. I will intentionally not eat dinner the night before if I know we're placing an order the next day. All breakfast pizzas are prepped with eggs and a blend of cheeses. No pizza sauce - thank you - that would just be gross. Our favorites are the Pepperoni and Sausage, Chorizo and Tomatoes, The Ground Hog (mild spiced sausage), The Canadian Mountie (Canadian bacon and cheddar cheese) and last but not least the Spinach and Mushroom. The large is 16" and will cost you about $20. Which breaks down to a few bucks each since we pitch in for two pizzas. The slices are huge, excellent thin crust, scrambled eggs are perfectly cooked and the cheese does that thing when-you-pick-up-a-slice it clings to it's brothers and sisters with it's thin stringy cheese arms. Ohhhh, I love that.

Another great thing - free local delivery!

They open at 7 AM. and stop serving breakfast at 1 PM., Monday through Saturday (Closed on Sunday).

Just a note: If you go there, opt for carryout. Space is limited. It's just the cashier counter, a table and a few chairs. And bring cash. No ATM/Debit.

BRING CASH.  If you don't, you risk possibly paying for your breakfast pizza using the quarters you keep in your glove compartment for parking meters--which is exactly what happened to me.  And no joke, there is no ATM nearby.  At all.

Other than that slight hiccup in my morning, the guys here were great!  The breakfast pizza here is not like the fancy schmancy stuff you would get at brunch at One Speed or Hot Italian.  This is real pizza crust with breakfast toppings.  And it is delicious.  Yes, it's a little more than you'd pay for a regular pizza at Pizza Hut, but so worth it!

Make sure they are open before you head over though since they have limited hours.  Also, plan on taking it home since there aren't really tables there which you can eat at (perhaps one or two).

Breakfast pizza is the most genius food you can bring in to a morning office meeting. Everyone will be delighted by delicious, fatty food that isn't sugary. It's a great ice breaker for a tense morning meeting, too. A co-worker recently brought in several kinds, and they were a huge hit: it's like an unpretentious quiche you can eat with your hands.

There a variety of kinds, but I recommend one with bacon. It's perfectly crispy, whichis a rarity even for regular pizza.

Perfect for hosting your own Sunday brunch party, too!

Pizza for breakfast? whaaaa? This is the most genius idea ever!!!  When I say Pizza for breakfast no I'm not talking about cold leftovers that you eat the next day with a mild hang over.

Oooh no... This pizza is a work of art. The crust is light  thin and instead of a tomato sauce they have a thin layer of egg mixture all over the pizza. That layer of egg is perfectly cooked and topped with cheese. I tried chorizo and tomato. That was pretty good it did need some salsa though.

There isn't a place to sit down to eat at the restaurant. the insides are a bit sparse. It can't help to mention yelp to get some money off.

    Nice.

It is a nice reminder, when pulling overtime around 6:00 am at work and the sudden pangs of hunger interrupts my thought processes and flow of productivity.  This is when we usually called in an order to Buffalo for their breakfast pizza.

The breakfast pizza consists of a thick bready crust (actually a lot denser than typical crust) mounded with an even thicker topping of an egg cheese bake with bacon/sausage/ham mixed in.  This is sooooooo good, that I can only eat one piece and become immediately full.  I did the mistake of eating two slices once and consequently became sick right thereafter.

In addition to breakfast pizzas, they also deliver regular pizzas and have an extensive list of sandwiches and salads.

For a heart attack meal delivered promptly to our offices, this place does not disappoint.

Never had the regular pizzas. Really, I have no need for them, when I can get my hands on the best breakfast pizza ever!

    All you need to know:
    GET the breakfast pizza!

Other important information about the breakfast pizza:
    -Served until 1pm
    -Sizes - 8", 12", 14", 16"
    -Wallet damage: $6.50 - $21.75
-Breakfast toppings: Cheese, Canadian bacon, chorizo, tomatoes, spinach, mushroom, sausage, jalapeno, and good ol' regular bacon.
-Three $1.00-off 16" pizza coupons in their menu.
-Delivery, take out, or dine in.
-You will probably get a job promotion, if you have a few of these breakfast pizzas delivered to your next meeting . . . really, your name will go down in the company's roster, adorned with with sparkles, for that big bonus.

I've gotta thank the Yelp community for leading me to this one, esp for suggesting it as a breakfast mtg food.  I fed 7 people with one breakfast pizza, got a $2 coupon for being a Yelper so it was under $20(!!!), received much praise for the food, and was full all the way passed noon!! Amazing!

The one reason I gave it four stars is that I want to leave room for improvement, as I expect I'll be eating from here again and again.  I ordered over the phone for pick-up, and having not seen a menu I did a standard 16" pizza with chorizo.  It was as good as has been described, especially with some hot sauce drizzled on top.  But now that I've actually seen a menu I'd like to add some toppings to my next purchase - I can only imagine how good that will be.

Fun little story to end on - the security guards at my job asked me what kind of pizza I had as I walked in the bldg., no sooner than I said, "It's a breakfast pizza..." did one of the guys declare, "Oh, from Buffalo!".  Food with that kind of recognition is food you want to get to know, believe me :)

I am eating my first breakfast pizza right now.  Cheese, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, green peppers.  Delicious.  It's not goupy or soupy - the crust and eggs are done perfectly.  The crust is chewy.  I never would have heard of Buffalo Pizza without Yelp.

I just had two types of breakfast pizza. They ABSOLUTELY lived up to the hype. Salty deliciousness. 4.5 on the taste of the breakfast pizza!

For those who haven't had it, imagine a regular pizza. Then, where there normally would be sauce- replace it with egg. The texture ends up a bit firmer, and without the sauce the standard tang and light sweetness of a regular pizza sauce is replaced by the 'egginess' and a saltier overall experience.

I've had this place bookmarked forever and finally found time on a weekday to make it down here. It's a super small spot with one table inside for 3-4 people and a few random benches so the boyfriend and I opted to get the food to go.

Somehow we missed the memo that this place is cash only and it wasn't until we were salivating, standing there trying to decide on our pizza, that we realized we had $9 between us and whatever change I could find in my car. I was heartbroken. So we decided just to try the 8 inch bacon pizza and forgo any extras. The guy was SO nice though! He upgraded us to a 12 inch pizza without charging us extra. I love you already.

We had the pizza in the park with a few cold drinks on a warm sunny day and it was a beautiful thing. I think I'm having a hard time giving this place a 5 because our breakfast pizza was a little plain which is totally our own fault, but the crust was delicious and I know this place has so much potential. I'll definitely be back in the future with more cash to enjoy all that they have to offer!

This man is a genius. If you scoff at the hours then I pity you. It's brilliant.

Buffalo Pizza & Ice Cream Co. is on the corner of 21st and 1st Ave across from a cemetery.. It looks like a storage room with a couple benches inside but this breakfast pizza and items like the prairie puppy are winners.

Breakfast pizza is a MUST TRY!

There's also your regular pizzas and I don't know how many times I've wanted pizza in the morning before places even open.. Now I know there's an option other than making a pizza at home.

    Absolute genius. I love it.

I was introduced to the breakfast pizza here on my first day at the office.  Since then we have had 2 more new people and had breakfast pizza twice.  Rumor has it we are going to have a new person starting soon...Yay for breakfast pizza.

On to today...we decided to have a last minute work luncheon and nobody could make a decision on where to go, so the boss said lets get pizza from the breakfast pizza place (thats why she is the boss because she can make decisions like that).  Well we had a combo pizza delivered and it was pretty good.  Sausage was good, bell peppers were crisp, overall a pretty good pizza for a last minute Friday afternoon lunch.

BREAKFAST PIZZA, you had me at first bite. You are sooo yummy, and you graced us with your presence on the mornings after a victory by our office softball team. Tater-tots made a cameo appearance, but they never stole your thunder.

When I moved into my little studio, I bribed my friends to help me. I told them you would be there to reward them for their hard work. You were ready for pick-up like you said you would be, and you were not too expensive. Other pizzas are mediocre, but BREAKFAST PIZZA -- I LOVE YOU!!

When we moved in down the street from this place, we went and got dinner here. We were looking forward to trying a new place in our new neighborhood.

When we got home and started to eat?

It was terrible. Just... ew. The crust wasn't cooked all the way, the sauce was watery and the cheese was like goop, None of us (and there were FOUR of us) finished our pizzas. We haven't been back since (and we've been in the house down the street for 5+ years now).

For some reason I ALWAYS crave this place on Sundays...when they're closed. of course. ha!

Everything about the breakfast pizza makes me want to spontaneously combust from the excitement going on in my mouth.

I try to introduce as many people as I can to this place.
I usually order the breakfast pizza with sausage and I add some spinach to it. ohhhhhhh sooooo good

Everyone always looks at me crazy and it always takes them a few minutes to even decide if they want to try it. Only to realize what I've been ranting about and end up loving it.

Order that along with the cheese bread.

Always a great start to any morning!

Ever have the desire to eat something that is so bad for you, that you just have to say, "What the hell!"  Well, the 'Breakfast Pizza' at Buffalo Pizza may just be that kind of meal.
It is made with lots of cheese, eggs, (yes, eggs), and toppings such as sausage, bacon, or whatever you choose.  And it is delicious!!
They certainly have the regular toppings and traditional pizzas, but if you are in the mood to be really bad, try the breakfast pizza.  Tucked away on 21st across from St. Joseph's Cemetary; about 3 blocks from Broadway.
Hours are kind of funky: 7:00am-1:30 pm Monday-Saturday

Ok, I'm giving this place 3 stars, based on the following formula: part A:, 4.5 stars for the pizza, but only based on the reviews I've read, because I can' t actually taste their pizza because of Part B, 1 star; they're never open in the evening!  I live, literally, around the corner, and they're always closed when I walk or drive by.  I always wondered how they stay in business, but after seeing someone taking pizzas out of there for delivery on a workday morning, and then reading the reviews about their breakfast pizza, it makes more sense now.  But seriously, can ya share it with the lcoals?  Please?

Updated 5/23/11: Have had a few opportunities to try their breakfast pizza, and it is fantastic!  Would still like to see some evening hours tho, too many businesses in Sac that cater only to the daytime workers (hey, people live here too!) and I'm still trying to find a "regular" pizza place that  I actually like, in my neighborhood.

Good old fashioned pizza, just like the way pizza used to be made before all the pizza margherita and wood fired ovens regurgitating faux Neapolitan style pizza. It's a throwback pizza and a breath of fresh air. Please stay open later, because sometimes I want to go to there for dinner.

I work close to this place and didn't even know about it.  My supervisor tells me she's running late and bringing breakfast for the office.  Just like Jacqueline's review about the breakfast pizza, it was so good.  Really amazing that everyone didn't know egg was on the pizza.  The crust is amazing; we had two-breakfast pizzas, one with egg and Canadian bacon and the other with sausage and egg.  Other than the pizza been very good, they delivered to our office and they were open early.  Really can't beat that.

LOL I LOVE BUFFALO PIZZA AND ICE CREAM CO because they're SO FRIGGIN WEIRD, but unique!!  First off, I've never found the idea of having pizza for breakfast appealing.  However, this is their specialty!  Their breakfast pizzas come with egg, cheese, veggies, and bacon/sausage..like an actual breakfast on pizza crust!!!  This is the only place I know that serves breakfast pizza and it's delicious!  Second of all, they also serve ice cream!  Pizza and ice cream..totally healthy, right?  Their ice cream isn't too much to rave about but do come here for the breakfast pizza!  They close early so that usually gives more motivation to eat here because I know I won't be able to get it later in the evening =(  Their prices are pretty decent too!  I'm so bad at remembering prices but trust me, you're not going to come out with an empty wallet.

Buffalo's is true heaven, just melts in your mouth.  The regular style pizzas are awesome, but the breakfast one really takes the cake.  Very interesting and different, and only in the best ways.  But what really makes the place worth going to is the delivery driver, in my opinion.  So delicious looking I wish they'd put a slice of him on the menu.

Everyone raves about this place's breakfast pizza, and for good reason: it's fantastic!  While I've heard that the regular pizza is just average, I can't comment on it since I've never had it.  But the breakfast pizza is terrific.  These folks have mastered cooking the eggs to perfection and adding bacon (and spinach, in my case) to a nice, thinnish-crusted pizza with soft  dough.  Yum.  Great idea for a different spin on breakfast meeting food.  It sure as heck beats a box of donuts and pastries.

Totally agree with the other reviews. We occasionally order breakfast pizzas for our staff meetings at work--such a wonderful thing to divert my attention away from stupid meeting topics--and they're always a crowd pleaser.  The pizzas (breakfast and traditional) are a bit pricey, but not completely out of the ordinary. They have $1 off coupons on the back of their take-out menus if you happen to be ordering a 16" pizza. Note: there's no pizza sauce on the breakfast pizzas for those of you who hate sauce.
