This WAS AWESOME!!! We had a group of 18 people and the Buff Joe crew was fantastic! Our guide was great and really new his stuff!
Such a great experience and a good price!
The pictures they take are worth getting!
We did the half day and it was perfect!
Cannot wait to go back again!

Had a great time rafting on the Arkansas River with Joe's crew.
The water is the highest right now that it has been for 25 years. And Joe's crew was certainly emphasizing that. As an semi experienced rafter. I know that this makes for a very pretty rafting experience, with less rapids. But I didn't care. Don't get me wrong there were still plenty of rapids which made for an awesome time. My buddy had never been rafting before and was super stoked on the whole experience.
Joe was very enthusiastic and got the whole group to get out an go for it. He was also our safety guide, and didn't slack all all in that department.
We had the awesomest guide, Margo! She ruled. And although I wouldn't really know, because I wasn't in the other rafts, buuuuut I'm pretty sure she was the best one. Yup! She was very knowledgeable of surrounding areas an able to tell us a few stories about different names of special rocks and how they got they're names.
Buddy and I had a great time, thanks guys!
Oh, yeah forgot to say why I knocked off a star so... P.S. Being that we were on the Arkansas River, and the fact that the water that we were about to be in was just snow just a few days before we had to sport full wetsuits. We putting them on they stunk SO bad. Dude that was "sizing" peeps to give them a suit at first gave me a medium, that was wet and extra stinkers. Glad that it was too big, I went be for a small, an en extra glad that that one was dry an less stinky. Buddy's was so nasty that he broke out in a rash that night. Think he has sensitive skin tho, but still. They definitely could spend a few extra minutes taking care of they're gear. Other than that Buffalo Joes is the best in town!!! -

Awesome white water rafting!! My wife and I went there a few years ago and did the full day trip down the Arkansas River. The guide was skilled, informative, and very nice! We had about 6 boats in our group going down the river. Our boat was one of two that didn't tip over. Either we were lucky or our guide was good :) Even though the others tipped over everyone was fine. Around lunch time we stopped at a camp where they had some awesome steaks grilling up for us. The rapids were cool because they were spread out. You would go through one for about 5 or 10 min. then have a long while to just float down the river and enjoy the sites of the canyon. It was really hot as we went in early July, but the cold water was quite refreshing.
I can't wait to get back out to Colorado to go rafting again sometime soon. -

I have rafted with them 2x in the past and they were awesome. Junker was our first raft guide and he was awesome. The next year we had Big Bob and he was way cool. They are way laid back. If you are looking to raft with guides who are going to show you a good time this is the place. I would say they are a little less family friend and more hanging with your buddies friendly which is what we were there for. The girls that work there are awesome as well, so honestly you can't go wrong with them. They also give you a choice of steak, chicken, vegetarian for your main dish and corn on the cob w/ salad for your side. Wow...is all I can say for that.

Fun for all ages! Our whitewater trips are run on the Arkansas River from May 1st through September 15th, beginning north of Buena Vista and continuing south through the wilderness of Brown's Canyon. For the experienced rafters we also offer the more challenging Royal Gorge and Numbers sections of the Arkansas.
