This review is mostly for the buffet...
First off - 1 star for the food. 5 stars for the experience. and one question mark for who the hell goes here when vegas is less than an hour away. that's like saying gosh i'm so hungry and if i walk for 10 minutes i can have any food i want but instead i'm just going to stay here and eat dirt because i'm lazy.
anyways the buffet sucks, nothing there is good, some of the food is at best edible and sometimes it isn't even that. But boy is it entertaining!
They have this thing called "swiss steak," basically a burger patty about a centimeter and a half thick with some gravy on it. That sucker is made of kevlar. Using normal pressure on the knife you need about 30 cuts to make it through. Using alot of pressure you can maybe do it in 6 cuts. Now granted the knives aren't that sharp but a hamburger patty should be forkcutable. But it was fun competing with my friends to see who could cut through it the fastest. it was in fact so fun that i'm giving them 5 stars for it. Kinda ridiculous huh?
Food doesn't get that tough by accident, this is clearly the result of someones design. It's like eating the whole wheel of cheese in Anchorman, it's not a good thing but it's actually kind of impressive!
like honestly if you taped two together i don't think a .22 would make it through
First off I will say, when you get a free trip you can't really complain to much, BUT, Buffalo Bills is not my favorite hotel.
The rooms are dirty, on one of the bed I pulled down the blanket and there were long hairs all over the bed and entangled in the blanket. I hadn't even sat on the bed yet. It was not my hair. Then we turned on the air and it seriously smelt like someone died in the room after that.
Considering we weren't going to spend much time in the room we looked pass all that.
The casino itself is nice. The roller coaster is awesome. Not the best i've ever been on but it is fun. All the little things to do around the casino is great for kids. The tree bar is awesome. Primm is definitely the poor mans Vegas.
Beside our disgusting room I enjoyed our stay in Primm.
I give the hotel rooms a 1 star. And the Casinos a 3.5 star review.
I stayed here for two nights during their Free-cation givaway. This has got to be the best promotion I have seen in a very long time. Two free nights at Buffalo Bills along with three BOGO coupons for the buffet, two free all day ride passes, 50 bucks in free slot play, two for one golf, and 2 free drinks at the bar, ALL FOR FREE!!!
I only used one coupon for the buffet. It was for lunch. The place is pretty small with a salad bar, two hot areas and a dessert area. None of the food was anything great, but it was edible. Even though it was busy we didn't have to wait too long and the beverage service was decent.
The hotel room wasn't the dirtiest I've ever stayed at, but it was a close second. (Number one belongs to the Plaza, downtown LV.) The rooms are showing their age. The carpet had burns in it, even though we were in a non-smoking room. Someone had jacked the batteries in the remote, the toilet ran the whole time, one of the lamps was broken, and it was impossible to get cold water out of the tap, but the worst part was the AC. I turned it on when we first arrived and the most horrible smell started to flood the room. It actually smelled like someone with a bladder infection took a massive leak right in the AC. The floor was even wet below it. Luckily we called someone to come up and take a look at it.
I'd have to say even though the room was pretty gross, at least the bed linens smelled clean and fresh. The pillows were fluffy and made up for the aging mattresses. I also really enjoyed the buffalo shaped pool. I didn't gamble too much but they had two dollar craps during the day and your basic variety of slot machines.
The best part was all the rides. All of the workers in the game/ride area were very friendly minus the ticket girl with attitude. I liked the log flume even if the laser tag guns were broken at the time. The roller coaster was so awsome I rode it twice. I had a great time and the price was right. If I go again, I'd probably stay at Primm Valley so that way I could be closer to the outlet mall.
This review is for the food since I don't think anyone really goes here to gamble unless they are a serious addict.
The food here is alright for the price. The key words there is "for the price." The quality of meat & the marbling is not something that screams out that its the best meat you can get. However, for the price, who can really argue.
Pretty much, if you are terribly hungry and you are around here. It serves to fill you up. Yet if you are able to make it to Las Vegas or LA.... I would seriously hold out.
Ahhh here is a nice place in the middle of nowhere. Right after you pass Zyzxx Road over the hill is Buffalo Bills. Now this place is a great place to stop by on your way to Vegas. If you have kids or you just want to stretch your feet. Buffalo Bills is a great place to enjoy a small taste of what Las Vegas has to offer. I usually leave the night before to Las Vegas and just stop at Buffalo Bills to stay before venturing off to Vegas. Since they have an outlet mall and plenty of things to do before your room reservation is ready to be occupied by you.
The hotel is decent and clean, no heavy traces of smoke and fun things to do. There are some rides you can enjoy as well as a neighboring hotel that has an outlet mall to stroll around. Good inexpensive stay in the middle of nowhere. Cheaper than a motel 6 back in my neighborhood, not as if I would know.
Buffalo Bill's is a piece of crap, but fun and kitschy if you can overlook the smokey stank and general dirtiness.
Guests are obviously not sexy - they're on the older and weathered side, and probably some of the worst gamblers in Primm.
Case in point, I was doing my thang at a blackjack table when this 21 y/o idiot gum chewing bimbo plopped down with a $20 bill and declared, "I've never played this before." She was dealt 2 cards (a 5 and a 2...a sum of 7 for those not mathematically inclined) and asked what she was supposed to do next - I kid you not. This round lasted forever because she didn't know to gesture (for the cameras' sake) "hit" or "stay" which drove us all crazy. There's more gambling crap I'd like to share, but I digress.
Spend $8 and go on the Desperado Rollercoaster! This ride is about 3 minutes long and scary as heck. Don't eat anything heavy and be sure you use the restroom before you get on the ride!

$6.25 a night? I stayed for the hotel.
First of all, I have to say that I loathe casinos. I am not a crazy Christian, but I do not gamble at all. Should I be playing a card game and money gets involved, then I will intentionally lose. Even the ostentatious Las Vegas Strip brought out great feelings of ill will towards their gambling establishments. I only came out this way for a wedding of a friend of mine who lives in Las Vegas. Therefore, I will withhold the great rancor I hold towards casinos in this review and resolve only to focus on the hotel.
The hotel was clean and cheap. The TV was old, but it has some decent cable although nothing fancy. For $6.25 a night? It was a damn good deal and a great way station for a road trip.

Fun hotel. I like the theme. The restaurants are affordable. The rooms were clean and spacious. All the staff was very nice. Would stay again.
My friend got two nights free at Buffalo Bill's since they were having some sort of special for Californians. It was nice to get away from the Strip for once and just stay at an old school casino/hotel. Yes, Whiskey Pete's, Terrible's, and Buffalo Bill's may not have all the glitz and glamour of the Strip hotels, but I still had a nice time. The sizes of the rooms are comparable to some of the regular rooms at places like Monte Carlo or NY, NY. We had a nice view of the jacuzzi and the pool.
When my friends and I arrived at the hotel around 3:30PM, the line to check in was insanely long. I had never seen so many people lined up at a hotel like that before. Luckily the workers knew it would be wise to open up more windows and really sped things up.
I'd come back again b/c I think it's not too inconvenient to stay outside of the strip and there's also free shuttles and monorails taking you from hotel to hotel. Plus, the outlet is literally right next door!

Remember as a kid, when you'd drive to Vegas and see Buffalo Bill's and wondered what it'd be like to stay there? Well my bf and I did it - we stayed here and it's not bad, not bad at all.
It was pretty enjoyable - it wasn't crazy crowded and there was plenty to do. We rode the roller coaster - I've ridden a lot of coasters and this one scared the crap outta me! It was fun, but I don't think I'd do it again.
The blackjack tables seem to like us here, and that was a plus. We had dinner at the Tony Roma's and it was excellent. Overall - staying at Buffalo Bill's was a fun experience - would probably do it again :)
I had to stay here overnight for a sporting event. The room wasnt bad, but the entry way into the "B" rooms is a bit small and claustrophobic (c'mon its a regular size door entry way and anyone who is 5'5 can reach and touch the celing while walking to your room). Once I was on my hotel floor, it was muchhh better, I didnt feel like a giant (less claustrophic and I felt more human vs feeling like "alice in wonderland"). It was roughly a 20-30 min wait for check and check out.
The buffet here wasnt all that spectular, just about all of the main courses (meat was dry), staff was disorganized, not enough supplies (plates, etc). I would have went to Tony Romas, but the wait was 45 mins...so what choice did I have? all the other eateries were about the same wait.
Of course I rode the desperado, if you want to get beat up; sit in the front. Dont want to be beaten up by the ride? sit in the middle or towards the back.
The pool was nice and cold, only goes to 4 ft. the jacuzzi was small.
If you want the best value for the rides, buy the all day pass...
The staff in general, they dont have the slightest clue about the casino, we were sent in the wrong direction for tickets. The floor staff's customer services needs some training..the customer service sucks (well, there were a few people who were nice)
Would my stay at the other hotels been better? who knows....
Fun Place. We have stayed there before and enjoyed it. This weekend we stopped by there on our way home from Utah. Good place to stop and get out of the car. The casino is set up like the old west and is very cool. We ate at the Buffett and the food was very good with a decent proce. $9.95 (Tuesday afternoon) They have rides for kids but we did not ride them. There are three casino hotels here connected by a monorail. Good Place.
Growing up as a kid we would stay at Buffalo Bill's quite often, I remember my cousins getting caught by security guards.. and lots of good times. The roller coaster is great, and the arcade here has Beat Mania which I played a lot growing up in Hong Kong.. There's a small food court with McDonald's, a pizza place, and a Mexican place. I think there's an ice cream place as well, can't remember. I loved the magic shop growing up.
Now every time I go to Vegas I try to stop here, because frankly I miss Beat Mania! I have stayed here 4-5 times after turning 21 though...
Tony Romas is only opened on the Weekends when it's not peak season. The Cafe used to include a Chinese food menu, since Terrible's took over the prices are a little higher, the menu is smaller, but it's still edible well priced food. The buffet is a good deal, but not that exciting. If your there during their slow time, well, slower time, on a weekday in the middle of the night the ONLY food available is hot dogs from the casino bar, my fiance did NOT like that when we were there a couple years ago.
The lights are always really dim, and it's a great place to go for some cheap gambling. Once I was up really late (well, early) winning at blackjack, the floor guy OK'd my late check out of around 6pm even though I wasn't betting all that much. If your all about the free drinks, play video poker/blackjack etc on one of those machines at the bar, and be nice to the bartender. He'll hook it up like crazy.
The rooms are cheap, spacious and always clean, the decor isn't modern at all, but it fits.
The 'poker room' has been lots of fun, the last time I played there it was a Hold'em $2-$6 spread game I believe, and people were loose. I've seen three tables full before (that time we had a full table going, but the dealers shift was up, and he was not allowed to work overtime, even though the players wanted to keep going!), but the last few times I've been there it was completely empty. They did keep announcing over the intercom thing that seats were available in the Poker room.... which was nice.
For the price of the rooms if you have a long drive and enough time on your trip, I'd say spend the first night here, then get up early enough to enjoy a full day in actual Vegas while paying one day less on your more expensive hotel.
I hope they stay in business!!
Definitely not new, certainly not sexy, and surely lacking the flair of the big Vegas casinos, Buffalo Bill holds its own in the middle of the desert.
This places makes a good effort to be family friendly. The small arcade area near the Panda Express and McDonald's wouldn't keep kids busy too long, but you can buy them day passes for the all the rides.
I came here on a day long turnaround trip, but since I'm not much of a gambler, I was glad this the entire complex (including Primm Valley casino and Whiskey Pete's) was attached via monorail. If I got bored staring at gamblers in one casino, I could easily move on to the next or even make my way to the shopping mall. That said, the monorail was really pathetic compared to Disneyland's clean and historic system.
As for complaints, NONE of the machines that change printed winnings vouchers into cash were working. My husband and I ended up with about fifteen dollars in vouchers from the slots, but we had to stand in line behind guys with a thousand dollars in table chips just to get the voucher cashed. And even though the three big casinos in the complex are all connected and owned by the same company, the printed winnings voucher from Primm Valley couldn't be cashed in Buffalo Bill's. My husband had to ride the monorail back to the Primm Valley to cash the voucher. It turns out that table chips work at all three casinos though...how annoying.

I normally stop in right before hitting Vegas mainly to take a little rest, get a drink and warm up with some cards.
I decided to get a room one night since I had just been visiting relatives in Vegas for 4 days and just wanted ME time...
Dirty Rooms. Dirty bathrooms. Hair in my bed that wasn't mine. WOW. I was too tired to go across the way to Whisky Petes so I just slept on the other bed in my room.
The only thing that made my overnight stay better was my server at the buffet. She was SO NICE!!! I forgot her name, but she says shes been there for about 20 years. So sweet. And the fact my daughter rode that scarier that scary roller coaster TWICE!!
However...
The buffet was dirty (salad dressing from the ladle all over the lamps - gross) and the people there are just...different.
I will only stay here again out of desperate need or to stop in and say hello to the server at the buffet.
D...evilishly high drop
E...ver so exciting
S...light case of whiplash
P...lease let's ride again
E...mpty stomach recommended
R...ip roaring good time
A...ction packed
D...efinite must ride
O...uch my head hurts
I've never won in this casino. If you want to stop by a casino on the way home from Vegas and feel like you got your butt kicked even without playing a nickel, then ride the Desperado! $8 well spent I say!

Buffalo Bill's is the hotel of choice if you find yourself in Primm. This place has a log flume and roller coaster ride inside it's hotel. When I was at the hotel the monorail did not work but they were running a shuttle. The "house" restaurant looks a tad scary so we opted for the McDonald's inside the hotel.
I was in Primm for an event that took place in the Buffalo Bill's parking lot and I couldn't imagine you coming to Primm without a purpose like this. The fashion outlet is easily a walking distance trip if that is what your interested in. Casino is quite fun but lacks a good bit of table games and the poker room was only playing limit action when I was in town.
The room's were very 80's but decent in size. Bathroom was very spacious and clean while the air quality seemed much better than your normal casino hotel. All in all it is not a place I would spend a weekend of gambling but if you need a cheap place to crash on I-15 then I would consider it above all else, plus you can get some shopping in at the local outlets next door.
We took a trip to Buffalo Bills on the spur of the moment after finding a rate under ten dollars on http://Hotels.com. The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious. It was your basic run of the mill cheap hotel room, but for the price it was a palace. There are ZERO amenities (no internet, room service, fridge, iron, etc) but as gambling degenerates, we didn't really miss them. There were a lot of families there, so we had to deal with hearing children at 9am, but the guests were pretty quiet overall.
The casino is alright. They had low minimum table games ($2 craps and $3 blackjack), but the dealers are pretty bad. They were slow and seemed like they were being tortured. Most didn't speak enough English to talk with beyond making your bet, and the majority were crabby (though there were two who were decent). The pit bosses were nice and even though we hadn't gambled much yet they gave us two complimentary buffets. I didn't like how cramped it was; it seemed like they tried to shove a machine in every square inch. There were also kids running around the casino, which only added to the lack of atmosphere. We walked over to the Primm Valley Resort to gamble often.

ghetto & i likes it. great first place to stop/stay a nite when driving to vegas. decent buffet. very cool table game staff. love all the gimmicks & the tram that takes you to the other 2 hotel/casino properties. decent rooms/good price. primm valley is nicer, whiskey pete's is nastier.
big-ass mall.
I enjoyed my stay here more than my previous stays at Las Vegas Hotels. It is only a short drive to Las Vegas from the hotel, but you don't have to stay in the over crowded city that is often overwhelming after just a few days. The hotel connects to a mall across the highway so you can still get your shop on.

Just when I thought I had already taken a big enough beating at the black jack tables in Vegas, I think "hey why not get my a- - handed to me in Primm as well?"
We road Desperado (giant roller coaster)...which had a killer drop but pretty much is 2 minutes and 43 seconds of whiplash. Definitely NOT good for the neck. I kept screaming, "ow ow ow ouch!!" the whole time.
We decided to eat at McDonald's inside because their "privately owned" restaurant scared me with it's microwaves and shady photos of each entree.
The craps tables were ok as were the black jack tables (really cheap at $3 and $5)...
When my last $40 was finally taken from me, I held my head low and dragged my feet saying, "I can't believe this is how I'm going out..."
I hate gambling. I hate losing. I can't wait to go back! :)

Review for Miss Ashley's buffet.
Driving home, getting hungry, looking for a buffet. Hey we are in Primm, and we are going to stop at the outlet stores anyway. In buffalo bills's was this buffet. Small, yet good. Only $8.95 for lunch. I loaded up on salad and dessert. The chicken was too overcooked for me. My bf had salad and ribs. We think that the ribs are just leftovers from Tony Roma's next door, because they taste the same. The desserts were ok, lots of choices, but most were box cakes. Not too many choices here, but decent buffet to load up on for a long trip home.

This review is for the Food Court. Food Court you say? Yup. The Food Court. Strange reason for a review, but it was just one of those things that I felt required a review...
I've been here plenty of times. It's usually the bathroom stop when you absolutely, cannot possibly hold it any longer, and you wonder why you didn't go back at the Mad Greek in Baker...
I appreciate that this place is fairly low key and quiet, no matter when I've been there. Maybe it has to do with the calm lighting and fake trees.
Anyway, my folks and I are leaving Vegas after our last morning of random gambling. The departure took longer than I thought--I shouldn't be surprised. Suddenly my mother exclaims her hunger. She's been sitting in the backseat complaining about my music choices... What does she wish to consume you ask?? (Mind you, this woman is teensy, and definitely more of the family gourmand..) CHILI DOGS!!! You heard right ladies and gentlemen, my mother is asking for the chili dog she once had at the State Line!! What now? You've had them before?? When was this?? How does my mother even know what a greasy, smothered chili dog is?!?!?
So we stop at Buffalo Bill's after my parents spend the next ten minutes trying to recall which of the three casinos they stopped at in order to enjoy their delightful morsel...We walk over to the Food Court. There is a wide variety of choices--I'm surprised she didn't change her mind. Nope, definitely the chili dog. So we order at the place that's got the random selection of everything--burgers, fries, salads, sandwiches--overall fried stuff. My mom proudly orders her chili dog then wanders off to La Cantina next door to get herself a beer. The four of us sit at the plastic table with the plastic chairs and eat chili dogs and chili fries. I don't know what came over that woman, but she ate almost 3/4 of her dog!!! I was so proud!! (Fork and knife approach of course, but you know, this is my mother...)

I looooovvveeee Buffalo Bill's. Call me partial, but after winning a nice sized jackpot here, I will always love Buffalo Bills.

Buffalo Bill's is awesome for a little escape. Get outta town, ride the roller coaster, sleep in a different bed, and get back to town the next day. There's nothing about it that's really spectacular, but there's nothing about it that's disappointing either. I only ventured the coffee shop food, and that was just fine; better than some I've tried. Their rooms were big enough and clean. Unfortunately, it wasn't swimmin' season and I didn't get to swim in their buffalo shaped pool which is a big bummer.
They've, of course, got the Desperado roller coaster, which used to have the longest drop in the world. It's a ton of fun, if you're into that type of stuff, and I happen to know that if you're on it early enough and have a nice operator, you can go on it again and again until other people start showing up. They also have one of the take-you-up-and-drop-you rides.
When you live in the entertainment capital of the world, you've gotta have SOMEWHERE to go to get away from it all. If you've had your fill of the mountain, this'll do.

I would give Buffalo Bill's a three star rating just for the cost alone.
The problem with that is there are so many other things that make this hotel and casino the least desired of the three hotels at State-line that two is the best I can do.
The rooms are "miles" from the check in desk .
It seems to take forever if you are staying here to get your room.
I'm not sure where they train their desk clerks ????
As with the three hotels at Primm, the rooms are what you would expect when they charge 19.95 to 22.95 per night .
They are nice.....
You feel good about the money you saved .... but that is it.
Some people like the "old west theme" at Bill's - which is nice,
but it is so damn dark in the casino you can't see any of the theme.
It is like you have stepped into a cave ( perhaps it is the old west theme and you are supposed to be in a mine shaft).
The only shaft you usually get here is at the blackjack tables.
For the same money you can go across the freeway to Whiskey Petes, about the same ammenities, but you can actually see inside the hotel and casino.
Pretty cool place on your way through the Silver State. The Desperado is actually a pretty good roller coaster. The Log Flume was okay. I didn't hit up any of the others while I was there.

I have been to Buffalo Bill's many times in the past, mostly as a restroom stop on our way to Vegas. We stayed here once many moons ago and the room was decent. I had always remembered this place as being a great place to gamble state line. Well, that has all changed after this past weekend. We came to BB's for a turnaround fundraiser this past weekend & to tell you the truth I wasn't to hyped since we had just been to Vegas less than a month ago (I usually need about two months to recoup from Vegas....especially my wallet!) and here we are again. I like this hotels theme, it reminds me of Knott's Berry Farm. I hate when the slots you loved in Vegas that were hot just suck at other casinos! I couldn't find a decent machine all day. Every machine was sucking the life out of me...fast! We ate at the buffet here and it was so-so, not too bad but not too good either. We went to the Primm Valley Outlet as well which was not very crowded at all and yet had great stores. Not too many great bargains though...at least for the selection at most stores. Well finally about an hour before we were scheduled to leave my sister in
law & I sat down at some Happy Days Penny slots. We had the most freakin' fun on those machines and we were finally winning! i love machines with bonus games & these had mystery bonus games that just kept randomly popping up....yeah we really didn't know how to play but the bonus games had us hooked! Plus, the machine kept blasting "Rock around the clock" when the bonus game was triggered.....how cool is that?! Thanks to the Fonz BB's got an extra star.

This place was a great value when driving late night from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. We arrived at 5:30am and I was able to convince them to let me check in and have the room until the following day, so I basically got two nights for the price of one. The AAA rate was $28+tax, so I'd say that's a pretty good deal. Rooms are dated, but it suited my friend and I just fine, and again, a great deal for the price.

ok, so we were delusional from lack of sleep on our drive home from Vegas and searching for a place to crash. with some help from my mobile yelp and my iphone i came across this group of casinos in Primm. I can safely say everyone was right on with their reviews. buffalo bills was a cute little cozy hotel that wasn't half bad, at only 19.99 a night the rooms weren't horrible either. from our room we could see the buffalo pool which was startling at first, i was so tired i thought i was seeing things. when we first got to our room though, i assume no one had been in it for awhile since neither lamps in the room worked. one was unplugged? and the other was missing a light bulb. also there were only about 4 or 5 channels in the room, so don't count on any awesome hotel TV. other than that the staff was friendly (they got us a late check out of 2 pm!) the rooms were decent and the price was awesome.
the Rollercoaster gets 5 stars - I don't know anything about the rest of the place. it's the best one i've been on...here's why:
"Get a breathtaking view of the valley from 209 feet up...right before you plunge at tremendous speed into a succession of twist, turns and unexpected surprises. Ranking among the top ten roller coasters in North America and one of the tallest and fastest in the U.S., the Desperado is 2.43 minutes of pure heart pounding fun."
