Wow! What a find. I don't know if it was because I was so hungry cause I just spent a couple hours at the hot springs or if it was because I was craving something other than camping food.
Let me tell you it took me a good 5-10 minutes just to decide what to have because everything on the menu looked so amazing.
I finally settled on veggie quesadillas filled with zucchini, yellow squash, potato, black beans, onion, cheese, and corn. It came with guacamole and the best red sauce! It was spicy and soooo flavorful. I couldn't get enough of it. The tortillas were not fried but baked and had a gentle crunch and were still soft in all the right places.
Merle had some steak tacos that he gobbled up and said were super good.
We kept eyeing a rack filled with all different kinds of bottled hot sauces from all over the place. We only sampled one that tasted like spicy catchup. It was odd.
The salsa and chips were great. The salsa was homemade and deliciously spicy!
If ever up in this part of Colorado and craving some delicious Mexican food give this place a try!
Great place...been frequenting it for years. Prices have risen quite a lot over the those years but I still think this is one of the best restaurants in town. Good beer selection, great margaritas, nice atmosphere. Top on my list for every visit.
