I've rented a few times from these guys because once a year, we need to make a run up to Napa to fill up with wine. Long story. Anyway - they have always been really helpful and are always fair about things. We bought an old VW that needed to be flat-bedded from it's resting spot and these guys spent an hour or so calling every Budget truck place in the bay area trying to get one for me, finally finding one in south bay.
I have had bad experiences with U-Haul (in Chicago, not in the bay area) and swore them off and this Budget Truck makes me glad I did. They are a small office, and it does seem like 1 person is running it at any given time, but I like that about places as long as they are helping people. -

Thoroughly unprofessional. Closed before business hours, rude on the phone and then unresponsive until they tried to add charges to my credit card. I would thoroughly avoid this business.

I rented a truck from here when I moved out. The place is basically a mom-and-pop shop... pretty slow service, but it seemed like there was only one person running the whole place. The office seemed to smell like cardboard, but that isn't too big a deal since you're only in there for a few minutes.
Make sure you get insurance, as the trucks are seriously parked about a foot apart... I rubbed up against a neighboring truck as I drove out of there, with the attendant watching.
