This place is fine if you don't mind that they can take the reservation, but they just can't hold the reservation, you don't mind a lack of professionalism, and you are familiar with driving the trucks.
I made a reservation online 2 weeks in advance for a 10 foot truck.  Two hours before my scheduled pick up time, I received a call that there were no 10 foot trucks, but I could have a 16 foot truck for the same price. Since I needed it that day, I didn't have much of a choice in going somewhere else. I get it, the fine print did say that they may not have your first choice, but when it's booked that far in advance, try calling around to the other rental locations a little earlier than the day of the rental.
When we arrived, the attendant rushed through the paperwork, not explaining what it was I was signing, but he had time to throw in a couple of homophobic comments in a random tangential conversation that we didn't need to hear. At that point, my sister was ready to walk out, but again, we needed the truck.  We asked about a difference in fuel economy with the larger truck, as we were driving it down the coast and were concerned about MPG.  He told us he didn't know, because he's never driven one.
He handed us the keys and walked to the door, pointed at the truck and said, "That's yours," then closed the office door and left us to figure it all out ourselves. I've been driving for almost 2 decades and went to college so I'm not completely clueless, but I would have thought a couple of  explanations or precautions would have been provided to a 5 foot tall woman who's not a trucker. After about 5 minutes of trying to adjust the side mirrors, he came out and tried to push the mirror over. Then he said it may need a tool to move it. He tried with the tool, but then just said "I think these are the kind that don't move, can you see out of it?" When I told him I could only when I leaned on the door, he said, "Okay!" and went back inside.
Fortunately, we made our 400 mile trip without incident (other than the back cramp from my permanent leaning to the left for 8 hours), but this place definitely fits the saying "You get what you pay for." I'd suggest taking a chance at either going to a different Budget location or paying the extra money and getting a U-Haul.
