These guys saved our butts!! Literally, they saved our butts. The story goes as follows. Our belongings were heading to Long Beach on a big ass truck from Canada. The driver jacked us around so much, it was pathetic. "I can get you 2 guys to help you unload". Morning of the truck arrival he says "Oh. I couldn't get anybody. You better line something up". Ok?!! What?? It's 11:00 a.m. on a Saturday in LA County. SURE I can do that. If I had a little window I could have contacted friends, or whatever, but a 2 hour window? F*R!!

Scene #2, I actually get someone lined up (this was important because I have a piano that cannot be moved simply by amateaurs). The guy pulls up this big ass truck onto 4th street and REFUSES to park it. No joke! Refused. He then asks me to drive him around looking for suitable places to park (keep in mind wherever this magical place would be, we'd have to move all our stuff from a not-so-close place). After all was said and done, he refused every place I showed him (including the BIG Lots parking lot, a BIG lot!!)

Scene #3. Elvis is about to have a meltdown. This truck (loud) is idling in the middle of 4th street, letting off horrible fumes. Our things are inside it, and this guy won't work at all with us. His answer? Go rent a truck. A TRUCK?! I rented a truck!! It cost me $2,000 and it is sitting on 4th street you Mother F*r!! Yep, he decides we have to rent another truck, meet in a parking lot somewhere, unload our things (by ourselves hubby and I) into this #2 truck and then drive it home and do it all again! (It was raining too)

I called several places in an angry, anxiety-ridden panic. "NO" is all I heard. Of course, it was 2 pm on a Saturday afternoon! People who PLANNED AHEAD had the F*ing trucks! (Can you see I'm still a little emotional over this?)

I called Budget Truck Rental on Anaheim. The woman was so cool. Literally, cool as a cucumber. She said "I've got a truck but we're closing in 10 minutes. If you come here now I will rent it to you". She and (I think) her husband not only rented us a truck - but they were kind and considerate and they understood our frustrations. The gentleman showed my husband how to work the auto-ramp thingie, while she gave me IDEAS of where to meet this Jack-Ass to do the first unload. Seriously, I was so frazzle-dazzled that without her ideas I wouldn't have even thought to head out towards the airport.

They then heard our plight about not having "helping hands" and quickly made a phone call. All of this convo was in spanish, so I just had to trust that they were setting us up. They arranged for a really hard working (and fast) guy to meet us at our house to help us with the 2nd unload. THANK GOD. We were so flippin' exhausted after the 1st move (including piano, just me and the hubby, 400+ lbs)... anyway
Mr. Mover Helper guy waited at our house for 2 hrs (he misunderstood) but unloaded that truck in 30 mins flat. It was raining too.

If I ever EVER have to rent a truck, god forbid, ever again, I will give these guys my business. I have never had such a pleasant experience doing something so unpleasant as 2 moves in 1 day.
