I returned a 24' rental truck here and was truly impressed with the service.
When I returned the truck after hours, I forgot to leave a copy of my damage inspection paperwork. Some rental places would be rude and/or take the opportunity to screw over the customer, but in this case the staff were very courteous and professional in notifying me of the problem and making arrangements to resolve it.
When I came back with the paperwork, Greg was great to work with. He got the job done efficiently and gave me a good tip on where to go kayaking in Monterey. :) -

If we didn't HAVE to rent a truck that day because we were desperate we would NOT have rented from them.
In a nutshell: they told me over the phone a TOTALLY different price by about $200.
They TALKED about smoking weed while we were standing right there, and make SURE to check the headlights because our didn't work and they won't give you a discount for it!!!
Long story: I called here for a price check, and the guy said "35.99 flat rate and $.79 a mile" But when we got here first of all there were two people who were dealing with a customer who seemed upset about something and we had to wait about 30 min. Then when it was our turn it took the guy about 30 min. to figure out how to rent us a truck (which was fine because it was his first day but read on) but ended up being almost $300! BEFORE the $.79 a mile WTF?
We got the truck, and the inside handle was broken. My bf went in to tell them and they were talking about smoking weed! (no wonder it took so long!) When we got int the truck the next morning to return it we noticed only ONE headlight was working and as it was 5am we needed the light and could have been pulled over and gotten a ticket, and so we asked for a discount and they wouldn't give one!
