NEGATIVE STARS!!!1 star is way too much! When coming on here to write my review I was actually shocked to see that the person before me that wrote a review was my cousins girlfriend! Sure wish I would have known their experience before going to them would have saved me $163.46 & a whole lot of grief! DO NOT GO TO THEM!!! TOTAL SCAM! This place is also listed & also operates as FLEETVIEW SELF STORAGE in BENICIA, CA.
1st of all, no one hardly ever answers the phone. I had to call corporate to find out if it was actually still in business before making my reservation online. Only reason I went to them in the first place was because they were in town and I received a 20% off coupon from usps. Long story short, my total should have been no more than $50 for the entire rental. I just saw on my statement that I was charged 2 charges totalling almost $170. I rented the truck and was told to have the truck back by 9:05am the following day in order for it to be just a one day rental & tomake sure the truck was full with gas. I get there at about 8:35am, a man comes and takes the keys, checks out the truck and brings the keys back to me and tells me its not full! I told him yes it is full. He says I need to TOP IT OFF WITH ABOUT 2-4 MORE GALLONS OF FUEL AFTER IT CLICKS FULL! I argued this and told him I brought it back full and was not going to add any additional gas because I brought it back FULL just as they required. He then told me that I couldnt turn in the truck yet because they didnt open until 9pm! (SO WHY WAS HE THERE AND WHY DID HE TAKE THE KEYS AND CK IT OUT?) And that if I wanted to turn it in early it was going to be a $30 fee. Also a $30 fee to have someone put gas in the truck in which he is saying was missing. AND at $10 PER GALLON! Irritated, I left the truck there, but left in my own vehicle and returned at 9am. He and I got into it because I told him what he was doing was illegal and he better not charge me anything additional in regards to the gas because I brought it back FULL! I told him I would bring the police there later if I needed to and for him to call me before ANY charges were made to my card.
Well, needless to say I looked at my bank statement and found that there were all these extra charges. $70 alone was for the $30 gas retrieval fee and 4 GALLONS at $10 each! Thats right... 4 gallons!!! How could 4 gallons be TOPPED OFF in an already full tank???
Then I found out I was charged for 3 days rental because he said I did not turn it in until 10:05am! ONE HOUR LATER!!! I called yesterday and someone actually answered the phone however they told me they didnt have my statement or receipt because they had already processed it. Funny tho, after I started threating the police and Channel 7 on your side... THEY FOUND IT! Hmm... imagine that! But of course the manager wasnt in yesterday so I was to call back today. I just cant believe the place is still operating like that and there arent 1000 more complaints regarding this scam of their ways to apply extra fees. They have not seen the last of me... I will be reporting to the Benicia PD, and I am going to write a letter to the local newspapers, as well as contact Channel 7 on your side. -

Ok so here is my story. It's moving day. I reserved a truck way in advance in order to make the move possible. Moving day it's kind of drizzling starting to rain a bit. Thank goodness we have a truck to cover all of our valuables so they aren't exposed to the elements.
Anyhow we get there and the old man behind the counter was extremely rude to us. First he tries to tell me that I'm not even old enough to rent the truck. Which is bullshit because they put the rental in my name and knew the whole time I was under 25 years old. He proceeded to tell us that they simply did not have our truck and there was nothing he could do about it. I yelled at him telling him that we did everything that we were supposed to and that he is basically screwing us over hard. He didn't care.
He said that his computer was down and there wasn't anything they could do. He didn't want to hear anything I was telling him. He totally disregarded our issue and was unwilling to help. We had to scramble to find a way to move our belongings that day. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO ANY BUDGET because of this guy. Worst customer service ever.
