I highly recommend Budget Blinds to anyone looking for window coverings. The office staff worked diligently with me in order to schedule my initial consultation, and although they weren't doing home consultations during a specific time frame, they were able to fit me in - going above and beyond what I expected. Paige went through many blind options with me and discussed the premium blinds I wanted and compared them against a comparable brand that saved me money but didn't compromise on quality. Paige understood exactly what I wanted in each room and by working with Paige I was able to determine the most important factor for each window covering we chose (i.e. black-out shade in the bedroom, regular shade in oversized hall window, dual french door shades in heavily used french door, but all in one shade for seldom used french door onto small balcony). This saved we money and allowed me to customize my shade options for each window.
I can't say enough great things about the installer (I think he's Canadian). He was very efficient and packed out everything he brought into my house. I swear, half the time I didn't even know he was there (and I had the security company at my house during the same time frame and was also trying to work from home). The installer gave me some great tips and tricks on using the blinds and took time to show me how to properly operate each of the different window coverings he installed.
Buget Blinds have a fantastic staff, each person I dealt with was incredibly friendly and personable. I honestly can't say enough good things about this team. They stock a wide variety of window coverings to suit even the most persnickety of people.Comment from Kendra H. of Budget Blinds 3/16/2011

We felt like the choices of blinds were rather limited (though we kinda expected this because of the word "budget" in their name).
Turn-around time was abysmal... made worse by the fact that *we* had to contact *them* to find out, after several weeks, why we hadn't heard a word. We assumed it was their job to keep track of status... *especially* if the manufacturer is having a problem.
The last straw: when our blinds finally came in, the "soonest" they could install them was another 8 day wait.
For the (same) cost, (equal or better) quality, and (much better) service/turn-around time, we'll go back to Home Depot next time. -

We recently had Budget Blinds install some roman shades in our tilt-turn windows. The installation required some customization and ingenuity, and they did a great job. The blinds were on-time and very cost competitive. Everyone from the estimator to the installer were professional and pleasant to work with.

Budget Blinds is a franchise. There are over 1000 franchises nation wide. The franchise was started in the early 1990's, and our franchise in West Seattle was opened in 2004. In Sept of 2007, we opened our showroom on SW Genesee St. Parrish and Kendra Hammer, own and operate the franchise and live localy in West Seattle. In 2009, our West Seattle franchise ranked 14th in the nation.
