Only game in town...usually has newer machines. Really old building. I suspect that they will be putting something state of the art in the Frontier Village when the last tenant is gone. Something to compete with Cliff Castle.

Review from Had R.
Phoenix, AZ
Its 'OK'. Smaller casino and to be honest this was my second visit and they seemed to be announcing $1000 winners, I even met one by the players club so they are real people!
For me my experience was that the plays were slow going...It took me a while to get a small amount of money back and the bonuses didnt seem to pay out for me or for the 2 in my party.
Ill be back (sucker!) -

As the other reviewers have stated, this casino is small and smokey. Also, it felt very dirty and run down. I didn't really enjoy my time there because of that.
However, considering the size of the place, I was impressed at the amount of Blackjack tables they had and I even saw a poker room, which is pretty rare for an Arizona casino. They had all the latest video-slots such as Sex In The City, Wizard of Oz... and a Lord of the Rings game that I had never played before. They also had a really cool video Roulette game up on the third floor... it was one of the ones with the big screen and a lady talks to you and spins the wheel. They had the same thing for craps, too, which I have never seen anywhere else. Those machines are pretty much as close as you can get to the table games without a live person there.
I really debated about two or three stars since they don't have any good restaurants, bars, or shopping at all but as far as the gaming goes it's not too bad for a casino outside of Las Vegas. If I had based it solely on the gambling aspect I probably would have given three or four stars. But I need some additional amenities to keep me entertained for more than an hour so I have to give it just two stars. This place really wouldn't cut it in Phoenix or Tucson but I guess for a small town it's not bad.Listed in: Northern AZ

Decent for the Prescott area, but I've been spoiled rotten by Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale. I also hear Cliff Castle Casino is nice (only 25 miles from Bucky's).

A weekend trip to northern AZ had us spending a few days in and near Bucky's Casino.
My first impression of the place is that it is VERY small. One of the smallest casinos I've been to. I expected the place to be larger, but it's really just a small little building attached to the side of the Prescott resort.
Due to being such a small casino, you don't have as many options for table games and machines compared to some of the larger ones. The biggest drawback by far though, is the disgusting cigarette smoke. The ventilation system in this casino is terrible. Cigarette smoke lingers and fills up the entire place. All of your clothes and hair will wreak like cigarette smoke after you have stepped foot in this casino for any amount of time.
Also, make the drinks free, would ya? I know all AZ casinos make you pay for drinks, but it sucks. If you want people to go to your casinos instead of Nevada, try to match some of the positives of Vegas.
I would have given this place one star, but they get an extra for the following positives:
Drinks are cheap at least
Super awesome bartender that hooked me up with a free drink & some extra strong ones -

Small and smokey! Cool if you are into casinos in small towns. It was Labor Day Weekend and Saturday Night...So it was wall to wall. We all had fun, had a few drinks, some gave a few dollars away, and some (Me) won a few bucks! It is always nice leaving with more than you came in with.
