Q:
When did the owners change? It has been a long time since we've been here last.
A:
It's been a while now. I think about a year ago, also the lady in front selling is very rude! And they charge for sauce while it used to be free. New management has made this old joint gross and expensive.

After decades of great food, this place has changed their staff and quality of ingredients, for the worse.
The food doesn't taste correct, it is deflated, spongy, and has that reheated leftovers vibe.
Gone is that fresh cooked meal. We loved this place for years and it breaks our heart to see it change like this.
The chicken teriyaki was so bad this last time, it got dumped into the trash.
We're done giving them chances to turn it around. Looking for a new place to support.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 1, 2023
Came here during lunch hour and they were pretty quick to fill my order! I ordered the spicy chicken and chicken katsu combo which was about $20. You might think that's a steep price but for the amount of food you get, it's pretty good! It lasted time for three meals which I'd say is worth the dollar amount.
Flavors were overall good but I usually like my teriyaki to have more of a charred flavor to it. It seems like their chicken wasn't cooked on a grill but instead pan cooked. Their spicy sauce was good and I thought the katsu sauce was sweet and sour enough too. Their salad dressing was very much on the sweet side and less creamy.
I think there are other teriyaki places that might be better in comparison but overall the flavors and amount of food was worth the trip!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 95391455May 14, 2022
We have loved this location long ago before new ownership came in. After the new ownership came in, the taste that i remembered had disappeared.
Occasionally, my fiance and I will come down here when we are in the area. We always go for a chicken katsu and a chicken teriyaki. They taste subpar. Katsu isnt as crispy and the teriyaki sauce isnt as sweet.
Overall, after the recent price bump, it isnt worth to come here. It is almost $30 for the two dishes versus the usual almost $20. With the quality going down and the price going up, Bucks Teriyaki just hasnt been the same.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jill H.Seattle, WA48118102May 22, 2023Updated review
Always delicious and fast. We of course love their chicken teriyaki but the little salad and dressing that comes with is so so good. We fight over the dressing.
Love this place. Been going for at least 20 years.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0May 19, 2013Previous reviewHere's yet another place I've been meaning to review. I've been going to Bucks for at least 6-7 years. When they got bought out a few years ago, I thought my Bucks days were over. But it is even better than it was before. There's always a warm greeting when we enter, and they are pretty fast with the food.
Portions are big. We usually share an order of chicken teriyaki. And whatever that dressing they use on the salad is, I wish that they would sell it in a jar. I love it. It sort of reminds me of macaroni salad so eating it with the teriyaki tastes great, almost like Hawaiian teriyaki.
I have also ordered the sushi and it's not bad at all. Was very nervous at first because I usually order teriyaki, fried rice or General's chicken, but it was surprisingly good.
When I can dine in, I prefer that because its soooo much food. But usually I call and order it to go and it's usually ready before I even get there. So fast.
Prices are perfect. Very reasonable for how much food that you get.
I usually eat here at least monthly, thank goodness its not that far from me. - Cindy T.Tukwila, WA1244Jul 29, 2023

I have the unfortunate experience of coming in while they were prepping the food. I saw them stacking this chicken in a cardboard box. The whole entire process didn't seem clean. Unfortunately, I'm finding my interactions with Josh and other girl to be not friendly anymore. Not sure what happened but I got very sick after eating here

Great service, always friendly and nice. Teriyaki is good and has the good salad (not macaroni salad!). With drink, looking around $18pp
