I just moved to Clear Lake two months ago and was apprehensive about the nightlife. A friend and I went to Bucks tonight looking for good music and decently priced drinks and that's exactly what we found. We had SO much fun; there was a good assortment of music genres, drink specials before 11, and ladies get in free before 11. We got there around 10:30, just in time for some free admission and cheap drinks. At first it seemed slow, but people just needed some encouragement to get out on the dance floor. By 12:00, the floor was packed. We stayed until they kicked us out!
The owner also goes around to different bars and calls out drink specials if you find him, He also remembered me by name and that I had contacted him with questions and bought us shots.
My friend and I definitely plan on making a trip to Bucks a weekly event!! It gave me hope that there is good nightlife in Clear Lake so I don't have to bother driving downtown. Yay Bucks! -

Ok..this bar was not the greatest I have been to. Yes there is parking but this is clear lake for crying out loud. There is parking for all the clubs. The music was a little too loud for my liking but if you want a great dance floor then they have one here with misters. So thats cool. The drinks are actually a little expensive for a bar in a small town... and there is a $5 cover which is another thing I was surprised at.
The clientele seemed to think that this was a hot bar. Well OK...if you lived in the clear lake area and paid a cover I guess you would think you're all that too. But the sheer level of bitch shield of some of the girls there was to the level I had not seen in a long time.
Other than that it was actually nice. Not a first date spot but maybe a bounce spot for a second date in case you decide you have to get rakish. -

Ended up here by default. This place is ghetto fab! 90% hip hop with a shady crowd to match. Reminded me of a high school dance with every one standing around the dance floor watching a few people bump and grind. Saw a fight a few minutes after we arrived. Lots of stretched out spandex dresses for the ladies. It made for pretty interesting people watching though. We even saw a dance off between two guys in the middle of the dance floor. I felt like I was in one of those teen dance movies. I wouldn't willingly return. Drinks were cheap and strong and our bartender was good, hence the two stars.

Went here last Saturday for a friends birthday. It was pretty easy to find it's right next door to Scout Bar on the second floor. There was a $5 dollar cover to get in. The drinks where pretty average $6 for a crown/coke the music was mainly HipHop. Its a younger crowd since it's 18 and up. Reminds me of Bikini Beach. There are two dance floors with the bathrooms being in the middle. The bartenders were fast and friendly. Wouldn't mind meeting up friends here but wouldn't be my first choice.

I was actually really looking forward to going to Buck's this past Thursday. I live just down the street and have had friends tell me on several occasions that it's a good time with a decent guy:gal ratio and reasonably priced drinks. So I got all dolled up ready to dance the night away with some friends, only to walk up the stairs to a set of locked doors. It wasn't open?!?! No sign posted or anything so I thought maybe it was my mistake, and they aren't open on Thursdays, but when I checked the website it clearly says open Thurs-Sat 8pm-2am. I don't know if this was just for a private event or what, but I was definitely disappointed.

Mixed reviews on this club.... The music is fun, hip hop mostly great for dancing, its nice on the inside, good crowd but hardly anyone likes to dance???? I just dont get it? Its a strange phenomenon that everyone just stands around to drink? While there is a perfectly good dance floor going to waste.... you mostly see a few guys out there playing around or trying to do dance offs like on you got served...lol.. I think thats my only beef with this particular club... I think if more people danced I would like it better. The music and the drinks are good. The drinks are a moderately priced, I believe through the night they might have Dj specials but I do not recall. Cover is 4-5 bucks and they do have a pricey coat check $5! the crowd varies from the times I have been leaning towards the younger 20's now that they up'd the age bracket to over 21 TG! lol... But as I always say ...all fun outtings depend on your company... fun friends mean fun times!!!! I had fun at Bucks and I will go back again...at least on a friday night
