Buck's is great. The owner is there all the time. Food is pricey but good. They have a monthly dinner special that runs M-TH and is always $10. For example, in October it was a 6oz steak with Prawns, garlic mashed potatoes, and veggies. Would recommend the Chicken Parm. You can get it with all red sauce, but they typically do it with red on the chicken and alfredo on the pasta. Their bread comes with this awesome whipped butter. I would go there just for the bread.

Also, the Peanut Butter Pie is really freakin good...if you somehow manage to have room left over afterwards.

Only thing I dislike about the place is that there's no air conditioning in the summer and during a recent cold snap the place was damn cold inside.

We stumbled upon this place after being rudely ignored across the street at Terracotta Red.

It has a cozy feel inside & was hopping with the happy hour crowd on a Friday evening when we arrived.

We were seated promptly, but service was iffy, food was slow but tasty. Prices were a little high for the atmosphere & quality of food. Dunno, wasn't wow'ed...s'alright.

Buck's is one of the few good lunch restaurants in Everett.  It is a small place with good fish, sandwiches and salad.  The blue plate specials are good in general.  My favorite dish is the mahi mahi.  If you're looking for a place to go for a business lunch, I'd recommend it.

If you're going to lunch with your family  (and you have kids), forget it.  They will not give you good service.  I would have said to hell with this place if I hadn't had good service so many times "sans child"

I LOVED this place after going there on a whim one evening. The name sounds hick-like, but  the ambiance is nice (though it does have deer heads tastefully hung on the wall). It has EXCELLENT food!!!  I ordered the Chicken Parmesan which was DELICIOUS, and the fettucini alfredo that came with it had the BEST alfredo sauce I've been able to find. I'm Italian and very picky about sauce, but this place has some GOOD sauce! I would definitely recommend you go here, and I'd love to go again. The service was fine, food was brought out in a timely manner, and it was hot!

I did not take advantage of it but happy hour offered buy one get one free appetizers and alcoholic beverages at a discounted price (don't remember exactly what it was).

I just so happen to be staying at the sad excuse of a hotel just down the street from this place.  I have to say, the fact that this place is in such close proximity to the Best Western made me wary, but it looked nice enough to me.

I really don't know what most of the other reviewers are saying when they say it is so bad.  Everyone has a bad night now and again, but this place is a keeper in my book.

I stopped in this afternoon and I found most seats taken with business lunchers and quickly greeted by a nice waitress and seated just as fast.

Looking at the menu, the prices are a touch high, but the food that was coming out of the kitchen did look very good.  The nice waitress told me the specials and the only one that stuck out (for frugality's sake) was a Prime Rib grilled cheese with Creamy Garlic Tomato soup for $7.  I hastily said I would like that please.

I have to admit, I did not expect great things from a soup / sandwich combo for under 10 dollars.  Boy was I wrong!  The prime rib was done perfectly and seasoned just right with a nice sharp cheddar holding it in place along with the very generous slices of a wicked tasty multi-grain bread.

The soup really was the kicker though.  It was just a small cup of it, but it was the single greatest tomato soup that I have ever had.  I could not get enough of it.  I loved it.  The garlic taste was superb and the creamy tomato was smooth and delectable.

Walking out of a restaurant after getting that kind of a meal with only a ten spot missing in my wallet is a great thing.  Stop in to Buck's at lunch, its the place to be.

( so all I could think about while in there was that line from Kill Bill - "My name's Buck, and I'm here to......")

I want to LOVE Buck's... I really do.  But they always let me down.  The meat is usually over cooked and dry, the sauces drowning the pastas and overall things just don't taste fresh.

I'm waiting for one of these Everett restaurants to Buck Up and start really caring about the quality of food and service they provide to diners.  How about some organic greens, juicy filets and fish so fresh that all it needs is a little lemon?!

I was introduced to Buck's by a good friend who lived in Everett at the time. It helped my experience that his wife and he were regulars and were greeted by name by the staff.

Buck's serves perfectly serviceable American cuisine -- burgers, fish, steak, pot roast and the like. I enjoyed my burger, which was cooked to perfection as I asked, and the home style fries that accompanied the meal.

The only thing that detracted from my experience was what I would call the "dead animal quotient" on the walls. The theme is kind of hunting lodge, and I could do without the stuffed ducks and other wildlife, but hey, each to his own.

Motorcycles AND bridal gowns are sold in the same shop just a couple of blocks away from Buck's - just had to throw that in so you know the entertainment factor of the neighborhood.

Anyway, I liked Buck's.  I thought it was a little pricey.  The appetizer section on the menu was more like a dinner section to me with complete meals, i.e. burger and fries and fish and chips.  The price on the appetizer menu was more to my liking because it is my usual dinner price range (did that make sense?)  So I ordered the Mel's Burger off the apps menu - and Mel, coincidentally, took my order.  Anyway, it was really good, smothered in bleu cheese and havarti.  I had two pear martinis and they were decent too.

I found myself waking up in the morning wanting the Mel's burger for breakfast!  That is a good sign that I liked it enough to return!

I LOVE Bucks. Great food, with new menu items every month! GREAT cocktails... nice and strong...  Great ambience, not too fancy, but still classy.  Always a good experience.

Really good food.  It is a nice mix of classic cooking and healthy choices. My meatloaf, mashed potatoes and veggies where just like Grandma use to make. My friends had a hot fish salad and a classic Ruben with flavorful fries. The inside was nice and bright, the service was good and the prices weren't to high for what we got.  We'll be back to enjoy it again.
