There's not much here but a rest stop. I'm not sure where the actual community of Buckman Springs is. Growing up I was always a bit weary of going to this rest stop though, because it was well known that if you were going to go dump a dead body, you go to Buckman Springs. Seriously, a bunch of dead hookers were found off old Highway 80 out here.
I think it's because it's that perfect distance ouf of San Diego, where murderers think, "Well, I've driven this dismembered hooker far enough that no one will notice when I throw her out of the trunk."
