Good Pours!!
Probably the best bar in Belltown to catch that game. There is t.v.'s everywhere with sports on all of them. The atmosphere was great for watching the M's game and the bartenders keeps your drinks full. -

The good:
Friend peanut butter and jelly sandwich (and we hadn't even been drinking, but if we had, it would have been even better).
Decent service despite the size of the place and the number of patrons (large) to the number of servers (small).
Want to watch a game? It will be on one of the gazillion TVs.
The bad:
The bathrooms were disgusting - even the girls' bathroom smelled like piss and the floor surrounding the toilet was pretty awful. At first I thought I was using the wrong one. The men in my party reported their bathroom to be pretty awful too.
They advertise Boddington's on the window. What they don't tell is they don't actually have it one draft - it comes in those stupid nitro cans.
If you don't live in Belltown, parking will be a pain in the rear on the weekends - it's probably not worth trolling for a spot. -
Review from Kayan L.
Skimpy menu + Obnoxious drunk hockey fan cursing at the TV at full outdoor voice at noon on a saturday + sub par food = probably won't be coming back.
I had the chicken, avocado and bacon burger. Pretty standard. Came with tots and sweet potato fries (i asked for half and half) - tots were much better. I wish the fries weren't so stringy. That doesn't work well with sweet potatoes.
Friends ordered breakfast items and no body was that impressed.
Also, we have a groupon type thing and the waiter told us we had to print it out and they didn't take it on the phone. Ummm, it's 2012, get with the times. TREE-KILLERS!!!! -

I compare all Bloody Mary's that I get in Seattle to Buckley's Bloody Mary. No really, get the Bloody Mary here. Then get the biscuits and gravy, and you're welcome. I've tried almost all of the brunch items and can't complain about any of them. Even the deep fried PB&J was tasty.
This is my favorite brunch spot hands down. Be careful during football season, it gets packed. -

Food was just par. I frequent this restaurant for it's free trivia nights on Tuesdays accompanied with happy hour specials.
Disappointed with the greek salad and not impressed with the veggie sandwich. Come here for some drinks, with a sports game or trivia, but not for the food. -
Review from Elena M.
So, my husband and I apparently have a tradition. Last night, for the second year in a row, we stopped into Buckley's during half-time at the Science Fiction + Fantasy Short Film Festival. I think this was only our second time there. BUT, I used to work just a few blocks from Buckely's on Queen Anne, and it was a favorite spot for grabbing lunch/HH with co-workers or stopping in for a quick dinner with the husband after work. So, we are always happy to go visit its little sister.
Lots of things to like about this Buckley's: Convenient Belltown location. Friendly staff. Comfortable booths. Decent food.
Last night, I enjoyed a generous serving of house red for only $5. Food was served promptly, which we appreciated since we had limited time to order, eat and get back to the Cinerama for the second half of our mini film fest.
There are a couple of negatives: Food prices are a tad on the high side. (My husband considered getting the fried chicken dinner, but $18 for fried chicken just seemed excessive.) The room is a tad dark.
If Yelp had a half-star option, I'd be rating 3.5. But, since I always round up in this situation, I am giving four. Buckley's in Belltown is not a place I would go out of my way to go to, But, if I happened to be in the neighborhood and in need of a bite to eat, I would definitely stop in again. Hopefully, before next year's SciFi fest... -

Buckely's is a pretty good place to grab a beer and catch the big game. It's pretty big and has lots of tvs, but can pack up fast on college football saturdays. As long as you get there before kickoff you can usually find a spot. You can also call ahead to reserve a big table. They are really accommodating.
The food, however, is pretty bad. I've been here for every meal of the day and have yet to find anything good. They best thing I've ever had was the spinach salad, but that it is a pretty hard mess up. I thought breakfast was pretty hard to mess up, but somehow they've found a way. It's probably just best to go on liquid diet here... -

Stopped by here quite randomly yesterday afternoon for lunch at around 1:30pm on a Friday. It wasn't particularly crowded, but there appeared to be only a couple people working the tables. After choosing one of the many open seats, we sat and waited around 15 minutes for someone to come by and take our order. I asked the server what hot teas they had and picked one, which as it turns out they were out of.
The food took another 20 minutes or so to come. Before our first bite we had spent over 30 minutes here.
The food was satisfactory, but nothing to write home about. Portion sizes were average.
Personally I don't think I'd go back here for lunch. The service just took so long, and the place clearly was completely overloaded even though the restaurant was nowhere near even half full. When you only have around an hour to eat, it means the food portion of the meal becomes rushed - and that's a bummer. -

Buckley's is a restaurant/sports bar but not divey and perfectly welcoming to non-sports fans like myself. My friends and I come to Buckley's on many Tuesday nights for Geeks Who Drink trivia, which I love. Them emcee is fun, as are the trivia questions, and the atmosphere is lively.
The food at Buckley's is pretty decent, although their burgers leave a little to be desired. My dish of choice (being Paleo and all) is the meatloaf with veggies and with sweet potato tots instead of mashed potatoes. It is mighty tasty, and I always leave with enough leftovers for lunch the next day.
The prices are a little on the high side based on the quality of the food. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but it might not be $15-17 per plate good. The burgers cost a little less, but that gives you a general idea.
Despite its drawbacks, the atmosphere and trivia keep me coming back to Buckley's somewhat regularly. It's comfortable, inviting, and laid back, a combination I really enjoy. -

As part of the Urban Beer Hunt, some friends and I literally zipped through this place for a shot of beer, a bit of razzing the other teams, and then we were off. From what little I saw, it looked like a pretty rocking sports bar. It had quite a few TVs, lots of ambient light, and a descent selection of beers. Some of the teams had actually stopped to eat here and it looked like some awesome portions of pub grub. I will definitely be coming back to check it out with the team of hooligans in the short future.

Buckley's food is average. The service is laughable. Less banter and chatting with friends and more serving drinks and food, please.

Well it's a bar so the food is so so.
The good thing is they have Bard's gluten free beer the bad thing is they were out last time! For my husband he's happy they have Mac and Jack's beer.
The great thing is they show the Virginia Tech games just ask the waitress where the secret room in the back is and you will find a lot of hokie fans! -

This place has a nice vibe - relaxed and casual compared to other Belltown spots. They have TVs EVERYWHERE - it's almost impossible not to get a view of the game no matter where you're sitting, which I can appreciate.
So - our server took our drink and food orders, then came back with our drinks and said "alright, little idiots..." before setting them down. We all kind of chuckled but then when we barely saw her for the rest of the time being, wondered if she really meant it.
We ordered three fresca shots, three different drinks and various bar food. The food was okay, but my drink (a dirty shirley) was horrible. And I'm not exaggerating this. It was like the grenadine they used was expired or something. It was this awful stale taste and even had some kind of chocolate taste - either way, it was so gross I couldn't finish it. I should have just gone with a beer.
I wish the guy who brought out our food was our server - he was so nice, attentive and friendly, a little different than our actual server.
Anyway, I'd come back to watch a game and grab a beer but I'm staying away from the cocktails from now on. -

Went to Buckley's to watch a Monday Night Football game and I think Buckley's was right on the money. There are tons of large TV's everywhere so it's great to watch sporting events.
I ordered the Bleucy Lucy burger which was excellent and the sweet potato fries were money. Unfortunately the serving size of the sweet potato fries was a little lacking. I was also disappointed they ran out of Stella Artois on tap.
Other than that, Buckley's is a pretty excellent place to meet up with dudes, throw down thousands of carbs, grunt and watch some sports. Recommended. -
Review from Will C.
Understand that this rating is adjusted for the fact that it's a sports bar. So my review is a combination of its qualities as a sports bar and as a place to eat while watching sports.
That said, the TVs were plentiful and aside from a troubling infestation of Eagles fans, Buckley's was quite the good sports-viewing destination.
I had a French dip that was better than I expected. Wifey got the chicken tenders which she didn't like as much (though, really, what's the ceiling on chicken tenders? Four stars? C'mon).
This place also isn't gargantuan, which makes it feel less impersonal than some sports bars.
I went in the morning so I didn't really looks at the suds menu too closely, but the prices seemed reasonable. -

I *want* to give Buckley's a better review. Honest! I do!
The food is *awesome*. It's unpretentious, well-priced, American fare in hearty portions. The meatloaf (yes, that's right, the meatloaf) is killer, and they have the best $20 steak you'll ever find. The late night bar menu is perfect after a few too many drinks. Which, by the way, are strong & tasty. The plentiful flat screen televisions, usually tuned to a variety of sporting events, are also appreciated. I even greatly enjoyed the staff here when I'd wander in late, disheveled and tired from a long day at work, or in my scrub clothes before I got ready to go out.
My problem? After raving about it being one of the best bars in Belltown to some friends, I brought them in to wrap up a somewhat fancy night out we had, all dressed up to the nines in dresses & shirts with ties. And we were treated like total crap. The same staff that was awesome to me every other time suddenly turned on me when I walked in looking white collar in a nice little strapless number and heels.
Bad form, Buckley's, bad form. I thought we really had something, you know? But you broke my heart.... -

I've been here twice. The first time we had to leave because it was so packed, there was no available seating. Granted, it was on a Saturday night when the Huskies were playing the Ducks, but I didn't see this as a bad thing. Busy is good!
I went back on a Sunday morning for a Seahawks game (it was pretty busy, which again, is a good thing) and my friend and I were seated at a table right next to the door, which I didn't like because it was really cold out that day, but we had a good view of the flat screen TV. By the way, I liked the set up of the TVs because they had a variety of them all over the bar and even had signs underneath telling you what football games were playing on that TV.
We both ordered the Denver Omelette and although my friend enjoyed it, I did not. It was probably the poorest quality of an omelette I have ever eaten. Instead of melting shredded cheese on top, they just laid down slices of melted cheese, which I thought was weird. It seemed kind of bland, also. I don't think the veggies or anything in it were fresh, so maybe that's why I was not a fan of the taste.
On a good note, the waiter we had was very pleasant by checking up on us often, even though we were there for a long time. Usually I feel like I'm being rushed out once I've finished my food somewhere. He even offered my friend a free beer because the bartender had made an extra. Not too long after that, there was a table of guys sitting across from us who had to leave and offered us their pitcher. I guess we had the "lucky table" (but obviously not lucky enough since the Seahawks lost that day).
Overall, it's a good sports bar to go to, so I will be back. -

Good hardwood, brick-walled, banner-and-flags-ablazoned-walled kind sportsmen's pub. Had the giant burger with a sunny-side up egg on top. YUM. Wifey had the same. Sat under a Chicago Blackhawks flag during a Seahawks game. Loved those Hawks over these Hawks. Good spot. Clutch. But nothing to call home to Mom about.

Review from Johnny W.
I can't comment on the pub aspect of Buckley's, as I've only dropped in to get lunch and dinner takeout, having tried their chicken sandwich, chicken salad, and meatloaf (only available during dinner).
The chicken salad is the least impressive of the bunch, being served up with fairly dry chicken atop your standard salad greens. Their chicken sandwich is pretty good though, and their meatloaf is downright tasty.
Prices do run a bit high, but their dinner portions are massive, and can easily be shared between two or three people. But be warned, food can take a while to get out to you though, even when they're not particularly busy. -
Review from Dan L.
They have decent beer specials (including buckets), and pretty dang good food for a sports bar. Thinking of the wings we had are making me long for the next big game to have a reason to go to Buckley's.
This is the best Sports bar I have found in Seattle so far. There really aren't that many quality choices in that department.
I really appreciate that they put the sound on for the big games. I only wish they would turn it up a bit louder. You can sort of hear it in the background. Definitely better than no sound at all. Maybe I should sit closer to a speaker?
They have quality TV's and plenty of them so you don't have to strain your neck. -

Buckley's Belltown Blunch is pretty righteous. The atmosphere is relaxed with sports. Golf and hockey were on the scene today. Everyone unwound and full of kindness. So patience may be necessary if you take a table versus the bar.
The menu is traditional pub fare. I went for the buttermilk chicken 'n cheddar on a kaiser roll, which was a wickedly good change from the traditional cheeseburger. And I have become accustom to those parmesan topped fries.
Do I recommend Buckley's?
Most definitely. They've got good drinks. Good food. Good prices. And good people. So it's all good.Listed in: The Places I Go Out

Kickass Pub Grub!!
I have eaten at Buckley's several times , and have thought each trip was just fine. It certainly isnt a gastro-pub , but it does have very good burgers, good sandwiches, and good ingredients. The burgers are decent, the brioche buns fantastic, and the bacon, cheese, and other ingredients top notch. Some other sandwiches hit and miss, but again, very solid for ten bucks a pop, which is difficult to find in Downtown/Belltown. There is not a lot to dislike, though not a ton to love either. Meatloaf sliders : four mini meatloaf burgers topped with gravy and marinated onions, with horseradish sauce served on the side. Also there peanut butter and jelly deep fried sandwich with whipped cream OMG, perfect with the Bass on tap!! -

If you want to watch a game in the TV and get drunk, this is the right place otherwise don't go there because the food is disgusting

Review from Frank E.
This is a good place to go for any game. Plenty of screens, decent pour on cocktails, excellent prices.
Ask for the Anne Marie's Vagina drink, it's tasty. There are plenty of regular here and the bar staff is consistent and friendly. The owner is usually around as well.
They have a great breakfast special for pancakes or eggs/bacon/toast. Also for the man-mosa's and Bloody Mary's. They also have specials on Mariners games and other events. The beer is cold and tasty.
I believe you can reserve tables if you have a larger party for a special game or event. This was the case on the final Vancouver/Boston game.
I've been here several times and I am never disappointed. The chicken wings, chicken sandwich, and I've been told the meat loaf sliders are great. -

I love Buckley's! I was talking about it the last time we were there and came to the conclusion that this is my favorite sports bar in Seattle. Reasons why include:
-Really good food.
-Tons of HD TVs.
-Great draft beer selection.
-Awesome service.
-Great sports bar vibe.
I recommend trying their Turkey Dip Sandwich because it is amazing. Tons of turkey, good cheese and oh so soft and delicious bread. Unless you do not like good sandwiches, you will not be disappointed. -
Review from Jen B.
I just like it here, it's clean and friendly but let's face it- the food is good and fried. Yum. This is why I come here, when I am in the mood for some debauchery and yes, the TV's help when you actually come to watch a game or don't want to talk with your neighbor who is giving you the eye.
The only thing that bugs me is the waitress behind the bar, who has this weird Betty Boop voice that comes and goes. The guy is always (yes, there are only two people working here! Ok, I have only seen these two for some reason) rushing around, clearing tables and getting checks. Once before he gave a me and friend a complimentary (but gross) shot of something green. We were both sick for days- haha! But it was nice. -

Great bar design, food, and drinks. Make sure to check out their late-night happy hour on weekends, as they have all Stoli/Jack cocktails for $5, not to mention an array of filling appetizers for $4 (including their famous meatloaf sliders).
The service is great, especially since I've gotten to know much of their staff. However, some of my female friends complain that they often get ignored by female waitstaff. I imagine this is pretty typical among male-dominated venues, though. -
Review from Stephen W.
Seattle, WA
A sports pub is about the TVs. They need to be big, high-def, and they need to be everywhere.
Here, they are. In fact, I like pretty much everything about this pub. Its clean, friendly largeness. The many tall, opaque windows in black casing. The dark wood of the bar and booths, the high ceilings. The generally inviting feel.
And the TVs. They are inescapable. In fact, when I and my friends went here yesterday to watch Green Bay inject a temporary caesura into Michael "The Dog Whisperer" Vick's epic redemption narrative, we watched the game on a TV that was mounted to the far wall of the very booth in which we were sitting!
On the menu, on game day, you can choose between breakfast and lunch. I have not tried the breakfast menu but will on a future visit. On the lunch menu, try the beef dip, the large, perfectly done mozzarella sticks, and the hummus and pita bread. Avoid the chicken wings; they're sloppily over-breaded.
During football season, happy hour prices for the duration of the game, which means that Guiness pints are 3.50.
Finally -- and I offer up this piece of advice purely out of humanitarian largesse -- do not shuffle in here on Sunday wearing a Dallas Cowboys jersey. That would be a very bad thing to do. Because, in the same sense that Hooters on Lake Union is Saturday church for UT fans, this place is a sacred gathering place for Philadelphia Eagles fanatics. It's a sea of green. They do the fight song during halftime. They are for real. -

Buckley's is my favorite place to catch a game in Seattle and not only because it's the unofficial home for all Philadelphia Eagles fans. (On that note, Phillies fans start showing up!!!!!)
There's a lot of things here to like about Buckley's. It's well lit, the bar has a great layout with a plethora of TVs, there's always a good crowd, the staff is super friendly and the food does the trick (it's not great, but it's good enough).
Tips: Happy Hour here runs till 7p.m. and features $3 draughts which includes most beers on tap, even Guiness!!!!
My favorite menu item here is the French Dip. It's not the greatest thing ever but it's good.
Ask for gravy with your french fries of tots. It's delicious. -

Went here with my cousin who lives in Belltown to catch game 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. There were plenty of my fellow Vancouver Canucks fans in the house, so that was definitely a plus!
There are plenty of large TVs, totally appropriate for watching games. The service was friendly, attentive, and fairly quick considering there wasn't an empty table in the place.
I had the bleu cheese and apple salad. The dressing was tasty and I added a boiled egg to the salad which made it a little more substantial. The only problem was they kind of cheaped out on the bleu cheese - there were just a few crumbles in the entire salad. However, when I asked for more it was no problem and was delivered to my table quickly!
I was just a little annoyed at the TWO Florida Gators flags and the lack of Miami Hurricanes flags! However, I asked our server what the deal was and he said that all of the flags had been brought in by customers. It's apparently a Buckley's tradition. So needless to say, next time I'm in Seattle I'll be bringing along a 'Canes flag and a Canucks flag to add to their collection! -

Love this place. Great food (try the sweet potato fries) and huge sandwiches, friendly service but can be slow for big groups. Nice alley patio. One of the only "sport bars" in Belltown, but I consider it nicer than a typical sports bar.
Nice place at night, not too crowded and not pretentious like some other Belltown places. VIP area with no minimum bar tab. Reserved it once and was about 1 hr late, they were very understanding and accommodating.
My biggest knock on this location (and only reason I rated it 4 star) is that it is now only open for lunch on Fridays. -

Great game day atmosphere. Good drinks. Good breakfast, good happy hour apps, good prices, competent staff even when jam packed. This place is quickly becoming my favorite sports bar in Seattle.
Only gripe: most of the flat screens are very nice samsung units with crystal clear high def picture. A couple of them are P.O.S. Dynex screens with a blurry picture by comparison. If you happen to be sat next to one of the crappy screens, you end up having to crane your neck to see one of the samsungs.
Props: For always having Sailor Jerry's spiced rum. I wish more bars did!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Good place to catch a game. The thing that I don't get is they are very non-denominational in their choice of home teams as they have a flag representing every sports team imaginable hanging from their ceiling including the Stealers, the University of Nike, and the Cougars. Not quite sure why.
Their food is traditional pub style. They do have a deep fried peanut butter and jelly sando that is not on the menu. It's a must try, but definitely not good for one person as it's pretty rich and more like a dessert.
The staff is really nice, which is a plus. -

Thisi is the Michigan bar, i.e. if there's a University of Michigan football going on, that's where the Michigan alumni (alums? alumnus? I get so confused) would go to watch the game together. It gets ridic packed on those days so service can be kinda spotty. But they do have interesting specials for game day, so you can get a big quantity of ok food (like naked burgers or hot dogs) for not too much price.
Things are a lot better on non-game days, though. Come in during HH and there's $2 PBRs, which made my friend Jon K. a very happy man. I've had burgers here, which are your good standard fare burgers. One interesting thing that they have for HH that I got was deep fried PB&J sandwich. It was crispy, a little greasy but after a long night, it definitely hits the spot. I also like the garlic fries, i's garlicky without totally blowing your taste buds. Yummies.
I heard breakfast is really good here so I'm gonna try to make it in one day and update this review! -
Review from Sameer K.
It is not that this is a bad bar, but it could have been better. I think this could be an excellent place for Michigan football fans to go on a Saturday to have some fun and drink some beer from a very limited selection. They do have great TVs viewable from almost any seat as far as I can tell.
The food was tasty, but somewhat overpriced - $10 for a burger? The menu was also very small and not very diverse. We were with a friend who is gluten and lactose intolerant, leaving the only things for her to eat as fries and a salad.
Finally, this was our first trip to this bar, but I did not feel particularly welcomed back. The waiter was very inattentive and did not even talk to us for the majority of the time we were there since we were not ordering loads of beer. He seemed very pleased when he finally got rid of us, with no goodbye on the way out. -

The day after the night before, all of the fans at Buckley's were hungover, sipping their Hair of The Dog and watching their teams while the efficient serving staff flitted about refilling their cures and commiserating on yards lost, and I, a non-fan of the most non-fanniest, felt comfortable and welcome. Buckley's, by all means more a sports pub than a sports bar, is the only place I've ever felt at home watching a football game at 10am. I sipped my Irish coffee and devoured my green eggs and ham and was content.
The benches are exceedingly hard, but they will tune a TV to make sure you get your team's game if you show up early, and the food (mine was scrambled eggs on ham over focaccia, topped with fresh pesto, so good) is delicious and comes in large, hangover sized portions.
This will officially be my "bring the man here to watch the game" spot. -
Review from Rachel A.
As a pretty devout non-fan of sports, I never thought I would like Buckley's, but I do. Tuesday night pub quiz is sometimes great, sometimes impossible to hear on their sound system (always free to enter, though). On our last visit on 4/8 I got kind of annoyed that Buckley's had signs on the tables advertising "trivia specials" but then said that they were "printing mistakes" and wouldn't honor them. Why not just take them off the table, then?
Anyway, it's not a bad little joint. Good whiskey sours. -
