We went on an all day whitewater rafting trip and it was awesome. Great staff, great rafts/equipment and a good lunch. Jackie and John were wonderful guides!

Great place to go white water rafting. We did the cross mountain run ( 8-10-11)and it was as difficult as they say. Very technical run lots of work. Spectacular scenery. Not a place for those inexperienced or not good swimmers. Our boat had 4 swimmers and most boats had at least that. Ask for chuck as your guide he was outstanding and has 13 years experience.

Great little shop that talked me into fishing downtown today and it was great. 2 of 3 flies they recommended worked and I had a great time fishing on my own.

Bucking Rainbow is my favorite Fly shop in town. They know the local fishing spots, always have a great recommendation on where to fish and have great guides / water if you want someone to help you get the most out of your time on the water. BTW here is a tip from a local, many people don't know that Steamboat has great fly-fishing in the winter. I avoid the coldest days but you can catch some great fish at the Tailwaters and select spots even deep in winter. March is a great time to fish in the morning and ski in the afternoon.

A great fly shop owned and run by a local family. Come here for good advice whether or not you fish with their guides and access to the best local water if you do.
