I will never, ever, Ever, EVER move without professional help again. I'm the first to admit that I'm not a rich girl, and hiring movers did make me feel a little bougie, but honest-to-god, y'all, Buckhead Movers made my stress level go from 9.1 to 2 (on a ten point scale) in no time flat.
My boyfriend and I were moving from two separate apartments to one house, so I anticipated that the move was going to be tricky. Not so! There was one little hitch (turns out they couldn't fit the moving truck under the Krog Street Tunnel to get to Cabbagetown) but it was fixed quickly and the communication was smooth. Once the movers arrived, it was smooth going. If I had moved everything myself with friends, it would have taken 5 hours to do my apartment alone. With Buckhead movers, they loaded both apartments, unloaded everything where we wanted it in the new house (without any damage), and were out the door in under 3 and a half hours. I kid you not, friends, this was a major feat.
All I had to do was sit back and watch (or not watch, as it happens, when they delicately moved my couch out of my apartment by handing it over the second floor balcony ((which was how it had to be, I got it in the same way))) - when I tried to help I was politely shooed away and told to relax.
Yes sir, I am a fan of Buckhead Movers. It wasn't as expensive as I had anticipated hiring movers being - so I had a little cash left over. I tipped my movers well and will be calling them again if I ever get antsy and decide to relocate again. -

Apparently this place was bought out by 1. 866u. moving or the other way around, either way, I completed the online free estimate form and was pretty much stalked by jeff. I can go into detail but this is really creepy! This guy actually left a message on my voicemail asking me to call him back because he is not good with email (why have an online estimate form I wonder...weird!) and so that he could hear my voice to determine how nice I am of a person to see how big of a discount I will receive....huh!!!!!!
Let me get this straight, you want me to call you and talk to you a certain way to receive a discount on services I am paying you for? WOW!!! Since when did I go from a doctor to a phone sex operator who pays to talk "nice" to someone.....eWWWWWW, what a dirty old, nasty, gross, repulsive way of doing business!

Being the poor planners that my husband and I are, I called Buckhead Movers about a week before we had to be out of our apartment and they were able to fit us in. My husband happened to have a work related trip on our move in date so I was on my own. I was pretty nervous, but the Buckhead Movers were great. They communicated with me throughout the morning they were to arrive and they came on time. They moved everything very efficiently and carefully. I expected to be annoyed at their speed since they get paid by the hour and I assumed they'd move a bit slower, but they kept a very fast pace. The three guys were all friendly as well. Moving sucks. Our new apartment is still in complete disarray after a month, but if we end up having to move again, I will definitely be giving these guys a call.

What a great company! My boyfriend spoke with Jeff who was super informative and while the rate was higher than other companies it was well worth it, he made us feel completely comfortable. We were moving our 1 bdr room worth of stuff that was stored in a 10 x 10 storage unit that took us forever, and i mean forever to move ourselves with some friendly help. After the exhausting move there, and my boyfriend being so beat and dealing with Uhaul etc. I decided that when we moved into our new apartment we were using a moving service period. Definitely the best decision I made. They meet us at the storage unit and had it unloaded within 30-40 minutes!!! it took us twice that time. When we got to the apartment they unloaded it (2nd flr apt) in just as quickly, they were super careful with all of our things, always asking exactly where we wanted everything. It costed under $300 for 2 hrs!! Money well spent. Thank Buckhead Movers! when we move again I will definitely use them hands down.

The customer service rep from Buckhead Movers was in contact with me first thing Monday morning after the move. They scheduled a repairman to come out Friday. He arrived right on time, was very helpful and had my floors repaired within 30 minutes. They look good as new.
The customer service rep that called me Monday morning explained that the movers are supposed to put protective covering over hardwoods. My crew just missed that detail.
I would use Buckhead Movers again but I would be sure to remind the crew to be careful to protect my floors, banister and walls.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Buckhead Movers came this morning to move me this morning. They showed up early and did a great job the entire time they were packing everything. It took them less than two hours to move my stuff from an apartment in Buckhead into a storage unit off Cobb Parkway. I was so impressed with the speed in which they worked, as well as the care they took of my belongings. When the time comes to move out of my storage until, you better believe I'll be calling Buckhead Movers again!

They haven't moved us yet but so far the customer service is awesome. Very thorough and detailed in helping you understand how the move will work, their company philosophy and experience. I feel good about this move and can't wait to see these guys knock it out. I think the price is very reasonable and we're getting 4 guys..they will surely get done in no time at all. Jeff was very honest with me about the cost and what is included and why. Even seemed to be familiar with the area that we are moving to. I'll be back to review how the move went.

If you are planning to move! Please don't EVER think of Buckhead movers, that worse in town. This is the first time I made a review in my life and I am doing it , because that really was a big mistake and don't really want another family to go through this. My experience was horrible , they sent a very old man in charge , he couldn't hold himself , and he was most of the time making time in the truck , he wanted to overcharge me , and the people for customer service were not polite at all. And like that wasn't enough they charge like they are moving the stuff in lamborghini.

Buckhead Movers is now part of Bulldog Movers, where I will go write the rest of this review. Though the old Buckhead Movers phone number still works (and their web site still works, though just barely -- it seems to have contracted a JavaScript trojan that starts filling the page endlessly with sponsored links down at the bottom once you have opened it), the phone number connects you to Bulldog Movers, and it is indeed a big truck with a red bulldog on the side that will show up at your door!

After 10 years of moving ourselves, my wife and I decided to hire Buckhead Movers. This was, by far and away, the best move we have ever had. The driver called within the promised time. He had one less man than we had asked for, but he assured us of a discount which we did get. Movers showed up, introduced themselves and hit the ground running. They took more care with our house and possessions than we have ever though to do. They also moved fast! We offered water and gatorade, but they declined until the job was done. Moving the stuff into the new house was just as seemless. Protection and great care taken to not ding the house or the furniture. Moving has to be one of the worst experiences one could go through, and while not totally painless, Buckhead Movers made our move the best we've ever had. We will be using them if and when we ever move again.
