I think I have only eaten outside on the large deck at Buckhead. It's a great location and view of the river, and seems to be packed in the warmer months. Their specialties include chicken pot pie, meatloaf and other homestyle options, but they have plenty of sandwich, salad and wrap choices, too. I like the Chicken Santa Fe.

The service is good, the portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. Just can't think of anything really outstanding about the place...mostly would go for the view.

My boyfriend and I visited Buckhead Mountain Grill after a recent night at the Newport on the Levee movie theater.  We got out of the movie at 9pm and realized that every restaurant on the Levee was packed, so we ventured down the riverside to Buckhead.

Buckhead is a small chain establishment that was started in Louisville, Kentucky.  There are only four locations currently and Cincinnati is lucky to have one in such close proximity to the city.

At 9:30pm on a Thursday night the restaurant was pretty empty so we were seated immediately.  Our server was attentive and on top of refills and requests, he was very knowledgeable about the large menu and helped us make our selections.  I chose to try the Tequila Lime Whitefish (quite a bit of Buckhead's menu is southwestern influenced) and I have to admit I almost licked my plate!  The fish was cooked perfectly and the preparation was just spicy enough to stir up my taste buds.  All of Buckhead's dinner entrees are served with a choice of two sides, the restaurant offers sixteen to choose from.  My boyfriend had a few very reasonably priced Blue Moon drafts and he thought his half slab of ribs rivaled Montgomery Inn's (I tried them too not quite Montgomery Inn in my opinion, but still good!).

The best part of the Bellevue Buckhead Mountain Grill is it's location, the restaurant sits right on the side of the Ohio River and at night breathtaking views of Cincinnati's skyline can be seen through the floor-to-ceiling windows.  The restaurant is rustic enough to be family-friendly but classy enough to be romantic, go either way with this one!

The view is nice...but the rest is mediocre. It was just bland and okay. Nothing awful but nothing great. The cheese boulders are fun in a group - just because they're the size of your head. They are tasty. I'd go for beers and appetizers if I had a choice.
