Who knew that finding someone to add blow-in insulation to my attic would be such a daunting task? I called place after place, leaving messages that never got returned, finding a few people who might be able to do the job if I waited a few months, and finally getting a couple estimates that were about $2000 over what I calculated the job should be worth.
Then I called Buckaroo-Thermoseal. Not only did I get a call back the same day, but I got an estimate over the phone at a price that was in line with what I had expected and I got a FIRM commitment to come on a specific day within 2 weeks.
Oh - and the estimator advised me to get a bath fan installed FIRST if I wanted one, since installing it afterwards would mess up the insulation. None of the others I spoke to even asked about those details.
The guys showed up on time, did the work quickly and left. I got the paperwork necessary for federal tax breaks and Energy Trust rebates immediately upon payment of the invoice.
As Yelp calls it, "Yay, I'm a fan."
If you need attic insulation, call these guys. It will save you lots of frustration and also some $$.
