Great singers, environment, and the mixed drinks are perfectly mixed.

We visited Buck Wild on a Saturday night recently and weren't that impressed. It was the only place we walked into that night that charged a cover ($5 each, but come on).
Bar is set up kind of cool with different levels and music, but nothing else too spectacular. Waitresses and some cute bartenders dancing up on the bar during the songs made it interesting. Most of the people there were just standing around holding their beers. A lot of karaoke. Very loud.
$16 for a beer and a mixed drink, plus tip of course. We didn't stay long. -

We keep coming back and I never know why. Drink prices change from one round to another, the touristy/bachelor/ette crowds can be a pain in the ass, but here we are, again.
Karaoke isn't bad. Sometimes you hear some great people.
The dancing waitresses... they do nothing for me, but I'm sure some like them. Some are hot, some are tacky, some are tacky-hot. Or is it trashy hot? I don't know. It's just fun watching people gawk over them.
i hear bands play here. I've never been. Maybe next time.
If you check their website, be prepared for an onslaught of noise. I hate it. -

Great karaoke. Typical drinks/prices. Scantily clad bartenders and servers that sometimes dance on the bar in their fishnets. Fun enough, but I don't recommend coming in here with your parents -oops.

If you like your karaoke in front of a bunch of hyped-up party animals this is your place. Especially on any given Saturday night (Fridays are probably similar!). The stage is at the very front of the bar and bystanders and pedestrians have a great view of your back and of the crowd.
The bartenders and waitresses hustle and do good work. There is an elevator that takes you to the club floor and the live band floor, but I didn't check it out. Maybe another time.
The mix of music played and sang appeared to be more varied than at Lonny's, but it was probably due to the crowd that night. All in all, it was fun and I would have no issues with coming back if a friend wanted to come here. -

Buck Wild is crazy! It's full of people who have drank too much and apparently American Idol contestants. The last time I visited this bar (I've been there twice) was in the late afternoon and their karaoke was essentially a concert by a guy who was apparently "going to Hollywood" on American Idol... now don't get me wrong, he was VERY good, but in the 35 or so minutes we were there... he sang 4 times. Seriously. And there was a karaoke line waiting to sing.
The place is tiny and you sing karaoke in the front window of the bar... with your singing piped out onto 2nd Avenue.
There were probably 20 or so people in the bar and the one bartender was too busy talking to her boyfriend then get the 7 or so of us who were waiting on her, drinks. With Bud Light costing a staggering $5 a bottle... we didn't stay too long.
The place in general has a slight scent of vomit in the air and the time before this particular visit I witnessed 3 fights. I'm all for a good time... but this place seems to be on the more violent of the bars downtown. It's very long and deep and the tables are more just like stools scattered about, flanked by tall beams to the ceiling... the place could be nicely laid out... but needs some serious renovation.
I'd visit Buck Wild again... but only in the early evening and hopefully when American Idol hopefuls have already had their dreams crushed :) Karaoke is no fun if it's more concert less bad, hilarious singing & drinks. -

Just off Broadway, you will find this karaoke hot spot on your way up to Printers Alley.
This honky tonk features Jack Daniels barrels as tables. This is a smoking bar where patrons are encouraged to take risks. The cow skull on the wall with bras and such adorning his antlers is pretty amusing.
The staff here are quick with orders and generally pleasant. However, they don't take any crap from patrons. You would be that way too if you dealt with karaokeing tourists all day.
Overall, this bar is fun. They have multiple levels that typically open up late at night or on the weekends. The staff really depends on tips as do most bars of this likeness in Nashville. The staff regularly gets on top of the bar and work their hot body madness. They are all also a worth while listen on the mic. Kind of the coyote ugly feel. Kids are usually ok until 6ish. However, be prepared for them to hear adult conversations and actions.
Drinks are also typical for downtown $3.50 for a beer and $7 for a mix drink. They have food but I have never eaten here cause there are tons of great restaurants in the area. -

Nice bar! On a Monday night is wasn't crowded at all.
When we were there it was karaoke and a the lady there was signing and also the entertainment trying to get people to sing. My neice sang 2 songs and its free. Just buy a drink to not feel like a free-loader! There wasn't a song book to choose from but if you ahd one in mind she can look it up for you. It's not all country either! This older gentleman sang a U2 song!!!
The drinks were usual price - but I wouldn't really know since I didn't pay for them. But the Jack and Coke was all Jacked up and I couldn't handle my liquor! Wheeew it was strong!
But a cool bar and I could totally hang out here on Fri/Sat night!!!!! -

I must say, i was a bit surprised to see this place hadn't been reviewed yet. But I was even more surprised to see this place hadn't even been added to Yelp yet.
My oh my. Earlier this year, I took a trip out to Nashville with my best friend for her 21st birthday to visit her mom. This was one of the places that her mom frequents, so it was our main stay of the night.
I am not a fan of country music, by any means, so I went in preparing myself to have a good time, despite the music. The place wasn't insanely packed either, and it was a Saturday night. The place has 3 levels, but we stayed downstairs throughout most of the night, so I'm not sure how great the other floors are. Best of all, you can smoke inside.
When we walked in, there were people (who ended up being staff and bartenders), standing on the bar with a microphone singing. After they finished, come to find out it was part of their nightly karaoke. And not horrible karaoke, like you usually see in your run-of-the-mill dive bars either.
The atmosphere was amazing. Everyone that was here- frequents, visitors, staff, and bartenders, were all incredibly nice. The night ended up greater then I could have imagined, and it wasn't from the alcohol. I unfortunately had to stay relatively sober so I could drive.
The drinks were great and strong, and very affordable. I'm used to dealing with places that raise the priced on Friday and Saturday nights to $7 a drink and up, but not this place. Everything was the same price as any other night.
We didn't end up leaving until the night was over. But we were back the next night... and the next. I can't say I have ever had a greater time at any other bar. -

For good karaoke singers: Friday night
For bad karaoke singers: Sunday night
Beers and drinks are decently priced, and the staff is very tourist friendly as well as catering to their regulars.
Cool place to visit. -

Wow, four reviews out of the five before me were from California! Do only Californians go to Nashville? I wound up there last weekend and had a good time watching fools sing at Buck Wild. The beer was cold, the people watching was good, and the music was either pretty darn good or pretty darn funny, depending who was up. I'd go back!

Without the privilege of being on the main Honky Tonk road, Buck Wild Saloon doesn't get the crowds that neighboring bars do. Nevertheless it's promises to be a good time. Last time I went to Buck Wild my night started with the bartender lighting his fingers on fire, seriously though, he spat some alcohol and boom went the flame. As if that wasn't entertaining enough a man wearing a referee's jersey tank top, tight jeans, and a hat with a giant feather in it serenaded me with some country song I have never heard. Buck Wild Saloon is a slightly off the beaten path, but I would definitely check it out.
