For my last night in Miami I really can't imagine a better way to wind up the trip than uninhibited dancing to some of my favorite songs in a small, somewhat secret, dark dance hall. Apparently there was a previous iteration of this bar somewhere else, but since I wasn't around for that I have no basis for comparison. As such, this is rated solely on my experience here, and not how much better or worse it is compared to the old Buck 15. If you're familiar with the kind of places I generally like to go dancing, and share that sense of music and revelry, then you'll absolutely have a great time here.

As for the seclusion, it was a bit weird, and confusing, as the restaurant I had to go through to get in here actually seemed to be closed for the evening. The side effect of this though is that the club never seemed to be going over capacity, even though it was relatively full most of the time. I'm guessing this definitely keeps the tourists out (well, except for folks like me who find it anyway), which seemed to be pretty true as most people who rolled in throughout the night appeared to know others who were already there.

I got pretty lucky that Yelp had a check-in deal for two free drinks, for simply showing up 1 time, score! The two drinks weren't limited to anything either, if only DC had deals like this... So I took my two Sapphire & tonics to one of the few couches and settled in for a view of the space and crowd. The layout here is pretty simplistic. It's a large, high-ceiling room, with a small upper level that overlooks the space below. Graffiti-like graphics line most of the walls, and even though it shows up as solid white space when your camera flash it on it's quite dark inside with different lighting throughout the night. Nabbing a couch spot was pretty easy, since I was by myself initially, and at around midnight the party was really just getting kicked off. I wound up moving off not long after sitting down though, as one of the parties of girls who tramped in had a rather large companion who wanted to sit next to me just minutes before vomiting on herself. Good thing I saw that one coming.

The music was a great mix of 80's and 90's favorites, with a bit of current techno-like dance stuff mixed in. I really liked the way the DJ was mixing in new beats over the classics, as it made all the music much more dance-worthy. No groups of 19 year old girls here screaming out songs that were a decade old when they were born. There was however one particularly creepy bald guy wearing his sunglasses and dancing in circles by himself all night...but what's a night out in Miami without a bit of lunacy?

Secret entrance, no cover, cute crowd, stripper pole, strong drinks  -  Yes please!

This fun albeit grungy club was great for dancing, drinking and enjoying a hassle free night in Miami. The drinks were unbelievably strong and fairly cheap. Don't forget to check in there and use the Yelp deal for free drinks!! The music was a fun eclectic mix.  I got tired after hours of dancing and wanted to sit down, but couldn't since each new song was better than the one before.

Wear what you want.  We were dressed up, as some people were, but there was a diverse mix of attire.

It's a few months after my last review and while I still love the idea of Buck 15 and again salute their efforts at providing South Beach party-goers with a chill, no attitude spot to dance and drink and sneak a kiss, it's just not killing it like it once did.

I thought I'd get used to the high ceilings (different from the low ceiling rafters people used to hang off of), I thought I wouldn't miss the gaggles of gay boys who'd tear up the dance floor (the gays have long departed), that I wouldn't miss the eclectic DJ switching from Portishead to Radiohead to Run DMC... alas, I miss it. I miss it all.

The DJ here sticks close to her Madonna, George Michael and Montell Jordan repertoire, and the novelty wore off before the track hit the speakers. The indie, locals vibe has flown the coop. Get the gays back, add some new DJs, bring back the sweaty dance party and reincarnate that spotless energy from the old Buck 15!

I've been here a couple of times. My BF used to DJ here (DJUnderseage)! It's a very chill type place. I will admit, I am not a typical Miami club scene girl, but this type of place I don't mind. I feel very comfortable here and I've had a great night the times that I've gone!

I don't want to diss this place, because its been good to me.... BUT, its just not the same as the old location. The DJ sucks, and the bartender was rolling balls and being a dick.
    I heart the doorman forever.

The good things about it is that there is no cover and they open late!

We went  to Miami Beach to celebrate a bachelorette party and had so much fun...literally, we were swinging from the rafters at Buck 15. Great music AND the drinks were free until 1AM. Loved that the place wasn't pretentious - no lines and crowd was down to have fun. Also loved that there was a comfy couch close by for those of us who wore crazy heels. With a group of 10 girls, one of us was bound to wear crazy heels. We all danced our asses off...my only complaint is that it's a little small (other location was a lot bigger), but I still had a good time.

From the sound of it, I had no idea what to expect from Buck 15. Even the location was a bit odd, go into this restaurant - turn left and through the hallway there is a door. Like a secret club that the locals know about.

Open the door and there is Latin music, 80's, hip hop and club music. People dancing, ordering drinks from the bar and checking out the scene. It was a bit too hot for my taste, until they brought in those huge fans.

Everyone was really nice, especially the Argentinians who bought us rounds of shots. I think we had one of everything. What a way to celebrate!

Went to Buck 15 on a Saturday Night. We arrived early to be the only ones there in a tiny room (way smaller then the old Buck) with thrift store couches and some funky art and laser lights. We left and came back a few hours later and the place full and the music had everyone dancing.

The floor is always slippery so there's a lawsuit waiting to happen. I also saw some girls jumping on the couches and dancing, again...lawsuit.

Hey there's good dance music and no cover at the door. Its a great place to have 2 drinks then see where the night takes you.

Secret speakeasy dance club meets Miami vice!! Drinks are cheap, people are young and pretty, no dreas code, great 80s and 90s mix.

You see the great reviews. You see the 2 free drinks check in offer. Your heart skips a step. Heck yeah! You walk to Lincoln Rd looking for a sign of Buck 15.... What the..   Pass the Chinese place with the lights on. Pass the hookah lounge. Check your phone -- it's right here. Where in the world?!

Then you figure to ask the dude mopping the floor at the Chinese joint -- oh buck 15, thru the restaurant to the hallway on the left. Unmarked door next to the men's restroom. SERIOUS?!

You hear a faint hum thru the door that turns into the most awesome Madonna-mash up once a pretty blonde hipster walks out of the mysterious door. you enter. The bar man offers you a strong one, held high above all the other pretty hipsters.

You lounge on the couch. You do the thriller moves. You sing along and stare at the mannequin positioned near the spotlight. You realize this is one crazy experience so random and so Miami. needless to say, when it's too damn hot to wear jeans and get into the other washington/lincoln clubs, hit up buck 15 for an awesome, chill dancy night.

I went there hoping to use the YELP Mobile coupon for a free drink at the new location.  I was told that there was no such thing, and no free drink.

I may have found a new favorite bar/house party simulation in the form of Buck 15.

Ever have a friend in high school who was "that guy/girl" who would host all your *non alcoholic* drinking parties up in their den? Well, if you want to relive those glory days (or if you never had that friend, but really wanted one), Buck 15 is the place to go.

I loved the diversity of the crowd - you have your hipsters, dressed up people, dressed down people, "hang off the rafters pouring shots in your mouth" people, etc. There was no specific type of niche audience, just those that wanted to have fun. No cover is also a great way of drawing all these people together.

The variety in the music played was also pretty cool. You could hear anything from Top 40 to E-40. Party anthems seemed to be the theme of the night. I remember hearing S&M played back to back with Bon Jovi and MJ with the best transition, thanks to the DJ.... I like, like it.

Would love to stop by this place again on my next Miami trip. Bonus for yelpers with the app - 2 for 1 drinks before midnight when you say "yelp"! Consider it your pre-pre party on Miami time.

I barely ever remember a full night at Buck 15, but what I can remember always consists of DANCING! Back in the day my friends and I frequented this bar almost every weekend, and a good time was always had. Whenever I go back home we take a trip down memory, and this place has never disappointed.

Buck 15 is a tiny, upstairs danceclub that is inconveniently almost IMPOSSIBLE to find, but once you get there all is forgiven. The DJ is usually on point (there's the occasional awkward evening) and everyone is there for the same few reasons: To sit on the couches, to check out the crazy stuff on the walls, and once midnight hits: to dance dance dance till 5 in the morning my friends.

The crowd is awesome, and the bartenders are real generous. There used to be a cute one who looked like Gavin Rossdale.

do they call this place buck15 because it's 115 square feet in size? it sure feels that way. none of the reviews i read for this place mentioned how incredibly small it is. as soon as you walk in you've seen everything. there is a small upstairs area but it was closed on the night i went. it's cool that this place is kinda hidden, but the novelty of that wears off almost immediately when you realize how small this place is.

the age of the crowd ranged from fresh faced 21 year olds to people old enough for me to feel like i was at a family function. the place has a salon or house party vibe to it, so it kinda felt like new years eve with my family or something. the music was pretty terrible, maybe only a gem or two in the bunch throughout the whole night.

there is only one bar area, but i didn't have any trouble getting drinks even when this place was "bumpin". though i feel the bartender accidentally charged me for an extra drink. i did like some of the paintings on the wall, but some of the other decor such as the huge spray painted woman and the tool-like artwork along the ducts were very cheesy and lame. i only give this place two stars because my friends are awesome and they have a +1 star effect on any place we go. i probably won't come back here unless i hear it's really different and even then i'll be skeptical. just go to vagabond.

Buck 15 has re-opened in their new location. Still small, but so inviting this place is always a fun spot. My friend DJ Diaga was playing on Friday Night and we had a blast. Only problem is the usual "waiting" to get a drink since there's only one bar area. Besides that, just come here and be ready for a good time. No cover, cheap drinks.

Two words for Buck 15 on a Thursday night: HELL YES.

If you're lucky the stars align and a lovely buzz comes on right when a gaggle of gays decide you're more fun to dance with than their friends. When was the last time you did the electric slide at a bar?  And I'm not talking by yourself, I'm talking with the ENTIRE bar! Exactly.

    I haven't had this much fun in. . .

First of all, can I just say how much I love creepin' in through a back alleyway to get into this little slice of cool right above Miss Yip?  It feels so downright...shady.  But in a "I-have-a-hot-n-dirty-secret-that-I-won't-share" kinduva way.

Mr. W and I decided to join some fellow Yelpers and good friends at an afterparty shindig at Buck15 following the EPIC and AWESOME Midsummer Night's Dream par-tay.  We arrived a bit early (10:45-ish) on Saturday night and what a refreshing change of pace from the usual SoBe scene.  No door hassles, no "velvet rope" laws, no line, no cover and a really unique/cozy space to lounge out at and later in the evening, dance your booty off!

We scored a comfy little couch and table in the corner of the room and waited for friends to arrive.  After checkin' out some Yelp reviews, we stayed away from hard liquor (At $12 a pop?  I don't think so) and stuck to beer and wine.  We had 3 glasses of wine and 2 beers and our total came out to $32.  Not bad at all!!!

The music was eclectic and oh-so-much fun - 80s, hip hop, rock, house.  A total party jam mix!  As the night wore on, the room got slammed to almost an uncomfortable level...but when you're buzzin' hard and with a fun loving group, who cares??  It only adds to the insanity and fun factor of the night.

Yes, it's true...you *do* have to walk down a flight of stairs to get to the bathroom (I can only imagine the amount of face plants that happen there as the night progresses).  But just hold on to a railing or friend's hand and it's all good.  And please wash aforementioned hand after tinkling though.  It's only polite.

The space itself reminds me of your cool older/hipster cousin's loft in his college heyday - cushy couches, vinyl records as decor, and art/toys lining the room - this night, they were featuring Puma tshirts on the walls that had been designed by local artists.  Big ups to the person that did the Mr. T 'I pity the foo' shirt.  I was trying to case it and find ways to jack it.  No luck.  ;)

The crowd was definitely eclectic, but not rude or snooty.  All in all, it was a great place to continue our party and I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to head right on back and pick up where my rump shakin' left off.

Hands down my favorite place to go on the beach when you are rocking jeans and a T-shirt. The music is fantastic! The DJ will play Phoenix, then old school hip hop and then cut to Madonna.

The venue is small but it always packed after midnight with 90% of the crowd dancing their asses off.

Unpretentious, good drinks, great music and an art inspired venue. Truly a gem on the beach!

My girlfriends and I used to practically live at Buck 15, back in my partying days.

Let me start off by saying that I am definitely not a frou-frou S. Beach type. I like to have fun but I don't want to shell out hundreds of dollars just to look around the room and try to pick apart other women or have them do it to me. This is why I love Buck so much. The crowd isn't pretentious, they're diverse, fun and eclectic! Not to mention,  the music is so awesome (although after you frequent this place as much as I did, you learn the weekend playlist)!

If you want to have a good time with a fun crowd and not have to shell out ridiculous amounts of cash for a drink, then Buck is for you!

Whoa, what a pleasant surprise! Here I am swearing off clubbing on South Beach forever and touting downtown as the only neighborhood with unpretentious crowds and alternative music - then appears Buck 15 into my life.

Buck 15 is a laid-back club where fancy dress will perhaps even seem out of place. I visited on a Friday night and was pleasantly surprised to see Ryan Evans DJ of Revolver and Spider Pussy fame from back in my day.

There's no cover, 70s-style furniture, cool art on the walls, and open windows to sneak peeks at the street below. It very much feels like I'm attending a party hosted by someone in that Virgin Suicides movie.

I think I'm ready to accept dancing my little heart out off the mainland again.

That I am just now reviewing this place after being on Yelp for almost a year is pathetic!  Considering that this is my other Go-To spot besides Purdy.

Ahhh, what can I say about Buck 15 that hasn't already been said?  It's unpretentious and I've never paid a cover.  It's one of the few places on the beach where you can actually go with friends to chill, hang out, drink, and enjoy an eclectic bunch...  There's a definite B-Boy scene here, and you can often find collections of hand painted sneakers by some of Miami's best Local Artists!

Tuesday night is the night to be here, as it always has a hip crowd.  The music always rocks here, as they seem to have some great DJs spinning here (shout-out to Keen1).  You can hear anything from some rock -n- roll to hip-hop (mostly) and the vibe is always groovin'.  Reasonable drinks, but still remember its South Beach, and better yet, off Lincold Road.

Great times, great vibe, great people.  Never a bad time can be had at Buck 15.  Great place to start your night or make your night.  See you there!

Just got home from Buck 15. It's 5:05 AM on sunday morning and yes, I feel compelled to write about Buck 15 instead of passing out.  Not sure if I'm making the right decision...  anyway, got there at about 3am after a few hours at rokbar.  short line out front but we waited about 15 minutes to get in... honestly, that's way it's 4 stars instead of 5. i understand the line (it was busy)  but it's still annoying.  Once we got in the manager (?)  got me and my friend a round, he heard it was her bday while we were in line bitching about the wait.  Music was great.  Space is small, but people weren't all up on us.  tons of fun.  and when it emptied out just a little, the dj played some oldies and swing ... holy awesomeness.

    Overall:

Wait to get in - worth it.  Send a friend across the street to get you a coffee at David's.  You'll need it to keep dancing all night.
Prices- not sure.. didn't pay for anything (which is worth a star all in itself!)
Music - fantastic!!!  great variety, plenty of classics
Crowd - fun. really fun. and relaxed.
Bathroom - ugh, another line.  unless you know about the secret bathroom.  but i'm not telling.

Super chill spot, def on the circuit.

    Time to pass out.

We made our way here after a long and wine filled dinner to an empty Buck 15. But when you're 15 Yelp CMs deep you are the party so much so that later on in the night we were bought a round by the house and we also managed to get a room full of cool SoBe boys to do the Electric Slide, ahh magic!

Thursdays are less crowded than Fridays and offer a varied mix of music. Sadly, it lacks hip-hop and it isn't a party without at least two ok three head bopping tunes at least give me some of that old Miami bass, booty music, I got two words for you: Uncle Luke!

Imagine a gay bar in the 70's with hip hop music.  Packed shoulder to shoulder, with mostly locals, all dancing together, some from the rafters.
No need to dress up, and with cheap prices for South Beach.   Apparently, Thursday is the night to go.  Young crowd.  Kinda dirty, laid back, and fun.

Low key. Small. Hot - all connotations thereof. Diverse music mix. More funk than electronic. Tight quarters-- good for accidental touchy feely dancing and body squeezing as you make your way to the tiny bar.

I met a bunch of people here and had the good fortune of knowing a guardian angel with connections at the door - went in the back way. I'm too impatient to stand on most lines - especially a line to get into a tiny place where I'll be standing all night. If you have no angel- be prepared to wait if you get there after 11:30 or so on a weekend.

Can be a long wait for drinks, too- but I have a New York City Subway elbow move that works wonders - I get to the front of the bar in no time. The bottle service gets you in immediately (ick) - but I guess it's practical if you have a group. $100-120 for a bottle of top shelf stuff and mixers. If you have enough friends with you - it's probably a bargain.

As for the crowd. It's chill and casual. Jose Luis A. - one of my Yelp Masters - said it best -- "You do see Guidos and Hoochies here every now and then... that will hopefully stop happening before Armageddon strikes Miami."

Yes, Master. True it is. But Buck is still the least Miami Hoochie spot on South Beach to dance around, hang and chill. And no cover.

(Fun fact:  "Guido" comes up in Yelp spell check- but not "Hoochie." )

I don't know how I feel about Buck15 yet... each time I've gone, I've had a different experience.... the music for the most part is great! If I'm making the trek to the beach and I want to have a semi-cheap night, I'll come here or to purdy lounge.
I can't necessarily pin-point why I'm giving this bar 3 stars and not 4..maybe it's just because I've never left the place wanting more. Sometimes I get claustrophobic because it does get really packed and it's not a big space. The bartenders are extremely nice and I have found myself ending up with a $50 bar tab because they're just that friendly.
I've had good times and mediocre times (where I've walked out of the bar because it was way too boring)... so what can you take from this review if you're looking for a new place on the beach to go?

Come here if you're looking for some good music, chill crowd and cheap night. If you've been to all the over-priced clubs in the beach and you're looking for a cool scene, this is the place to go. It's a hipster crowd-and even though I wouldn't consider myself hipster- I'm always having a pretty decent time with them!

Remember your sophomore year crush, the one who wore that funky hat everywhere? If he owned a bar, it would look a lot like this: a chill, un-clubby hangout decorated with hipster memorabilia (Ghost World figurines, japanese toys), a rotating local art collection and comfy thrift store-style couches.

I'm not convinced he'd charge $10 for a rum and coke, though. Sophomore Hat Guy was way cooler than that. Even if he did dump you for that chick with the eyeliner. (You might run into her here, by the way.)

The group wanted to go to Buck 15 on the same night as the UYE girls night out. I TOTALLY forgot about it, but it was great seeing everyone out.

When we arrived there was a line of about 20 people and so we decided to 'splurge' and get bottle service. They have the BEST bottle service in town! For just $120 (which includes tip and tax) you get everything you could want to mix with the bottle of Grey Goose!

The music was great and while it was packed, there was still enough room to shake it until we headed around the corner to Pizza Rustica. So fun...

    I love this place.
It is the anti South Beach establishment that happens to be located on South Beach.

You don't need to be dressed to impress. You just need to come ready to dance and have a good time. There are no fancy VIP sections. There is no waitress service. There aren't very many places to sit. But that isn't what this place is about.

You come here to dance. To listen to great music (and occasionally some odd stuff, but its okay in the name of variety). You come to have a drink with friends.

Yes, it's really @#$%^&* hot. Yes, the bathrooms stink a little, but any bathroom frequented by drunks will. Yes, the drink line can be a little long sometimes, but not that bad.

It is still the best club I've been to. Because you feel immediately comfortable and can just have a good time. My kinda place.

I don't think there has ever been a night when I have attended Buck 15 and had a bad time. I think it is virtually impossible. How could you when there is no cover, fantastic music and cheap beers? And have you tried the Buck Bombs? They are a must try, especially at under $2 a pop!

There are only two downsides to this hangout: how ridiculously packed it gets, which makes it difficult to move, much less dance (but this is a testament to how much people love coming here) and the crazy-scary staircase you have to climb down that leads you to the bathroom (how I have never fallen is beyond me). Otherwise, this place is a gem!

Buck 15 made me, among other things, thankful for good cab drivers. Ours was able to point out the grafittied entrance to Buck 15, despite zero signage and no lighting outside. So yes, be prepared to scour the street for this upstairs-only spot.

As stated by my colleagues, we were the only people there for at least an hour. Luckily we roll deep so what would typically be a pretty awkward situation for 3 or 4 became our own little private party. Shots were passed around, dances were danced, antics were made, and suddenly we found ourselves in the middle of one crazy gay manfest. And it was gorgeous.

The DJ was definitely the kind that some may turn their nose up toward, yet I loved. Yes, s/he played the Macarena and the Electric Slide, and yes s/he was a drag queen. And I loved every minute of it.

While I loved pretty much everything about this spot, I was seriously peeved when I ordered a glass of water and got one of those tiny airplane cups 1/4 full, no ice. Listen, bartender, I am drunk and sweaty, and if I'm drunk/responsible enough to be asking for water you best give me some. And if you only give me two sips you better believe I'll be bugging you soon for more. So yeah, don't be stingy... I gots to get back out on that dance floor.
